Woo Jung is one of the few Korean restaurants operating in West Central Massachusetts (Ayer), and so has a near monopoly in the region; fortunately, the food at this restaurant is authentic Korean (not Americanized) cuisine and extremely good, with an excellent variety of dishes, and very satisfying portions. The various pre-meal hors douvres are refillable at no cost - but careful! You can easily eat too much oi-gimchi (cucumber Kimchi) etc. and other treats and fill yourself up before the entre arrives! Seating is a bit limited (room for perhaps 60, or less), but if there is any wait time, it is usually brief; about my only complaint (and very minor it is!), is that Woo Jung does not provide the larger (and slightly rounder), longer-handled Korean spoons that are always available in Korea (instead they use standard American spoons - though the Korean-style spoons are readily available at any Korean market including Oo-ri Market just up the street). The service at Woo-jung is outstanding with a very personable and attentive wait staff, and timely delivery of your order. Prices are competitive, with most main menu items under $15 (some just barely) - though appetizers can be a bit pricey (an order of Pajun, for example - Korean "pancake" - will run you $8) - but the serving size is more than adequate for one and just enough, for two. Take out orders are not a problem. I highly recommend Woo Jung. Gary Wilkins

Who would have thought youd be able to find tasty Korean food in Ayer, MA? Im so happy my friend introduced me to this place. Im actually salivating thinking about my favorites: delicious Beef Bulgogi and crispy scallion pancakes paired with their kimchi sides to share with friends or family. I have been here a few times and Ive also tried the Bibimbap, Kimchi scallion pancakes (I actually prefer the regular ones) and fried rice dishes which were also yummy especially with the Gochujang (sweet/spicy ketchup). Ive usually also had enough left over to save for another meal. Service and food were served very promptly so we werent waiting long! The only thing is I wish it was closer so I could come here more often!

This is one of my favorite places to stop for dinner whenever I find myself in the area. Todays visit keeps that streak alive. Great fried dumplings for an appetizer, and the egg drop soup was really good for this damned summer cold Im fighting at the moment. Kimchi was refreshing and crisp, bulgogi was tasty. Service was friendly and attentive. I will be back!

I drove past this restaurant when I was looking for a place to eat in Ayer. It looked sketchy from the outside so I wasnt going to stop but the reviews were so positive I decided to give it a try. Im so glad I did. The atmosphere is not much to write home about but the food and the service are fantastic. I will definitely be back the next time Im in the area.

Positively delicious. Ive looked far and wide for a Korean restaurant that cooks as well as the mother of my best childhood friend. Grew up in love with Korean food and this is the only place for miles that even comes close to matching the quality of anything I ate back then. You will never eat American "Chinese Food" again. Thats a fact.

My family and I have been eating here over 20 years. When we moved out of state we made the trip back for the best Korean meal Ive ever had. From Connecticut, Kansas, Texas, ... whenever I was back east I made a special trip for lunch. I have never had a bad meal or experience here. LOVE LOVE LOVE

This is by far the best Korean restaurant in the area. Ive tried other locations that offer Korean style cooking and they did not even come close to the mouth watering excitement that is given with every bite. I recommend this restaurant to everyone. And once you try it, youd rave about it too.

This place is a local gem! Always busy at meal times and well run by the family. They have a great selection of house made pickles and kimchi, served complimentary . Their kimchi pancakes are a must try! If you like spicy food, give glass noodles with shredded pork and green peppers a try.

the place has great food but definatley is a fire trap....exit door is illegally blocked,,,tiny front door,,,people will die there if a fire broke out because of something that could easily be fixed ,,,after seeing the fire at the nightclub"the station"im leery of places like this

We have had a friend who is a world traveler, and expert in Asian culture, come to Woo Jung. He said it is the best, most authentic Korean food that he has ever seen in the USA. It may not look like much from the outside, but the food is incredible.

So good! Service is always quick and food is great. Seating is limited so during peak lunch and dinner times it can be cramped or have to wait. Dinner prices and slowly increased over the years, not too bad yet but starting to get pricey

Service was pretty rotten, and it is kinda a dive. But the Bibem Bop is very good as are the ja jang noodles/soups. My son likes the Bulgoki but I find it a little sweet. Personally I think Little Pussan in Maynard is a little better.

Never has Korean food before, so I dont have much to compare it to. The food was delicious and the service was fast and friendly. Id go here again. The price was a little on the high side, but its much better than standard take out.

The food is high quality with no msg. The egg drop soup is amazing. Everyone who works here is pleasant and nice. I order take out usually twice a week for lunch, and drive down every few weeks on the weekend for dinner.

One of our favorite spots! The food is great every single time. The kimchi vegetables are a great way to start the meal. Our favorites include the kimchi pa Jun, bi bim bap and ja ja myun. Highly recommend!

Great food, great service. Small restaurant with no frills. Good portions for the price, especially with kim chi. For those new to Korean food, I recommend the Bi Bim Bap with fried rice.
