Service is poor. This restaurant has more tables than they can fill on a regular night, but they refuse to let people sit together at a table if theyre just getting drinks, and they have a serious attitude about it. People go to establishments to socialize with the people theyre with, and a table is needed for this. Also, I have a bad back and cant do the bar stool or standing thing. A table is comfortable and helps me relax after work with the people I work with and enjoy myself. That is what makes the premium you pay at an establishment worthwhile. The bar is also too loud for good discussions. The few times we were given a table, we then were given an enormous attitude when we said we werent eating. The food is decent, but we go here often to eat and drink after work due to the convenient location, sometimes just to have a cocktail. I have food allergies and they do have a gluten-free menu, but it is small and wait staff does not do a good job working with customers with food insensitivities. Again, theres an attitude like we the customer are inconveniencing them. If you cant get customer service right, dont open a restaurant. It doesnt matter that it is a Friday night at dinner time, when you have paying customers who want to sit at one of your copious tables, you give the customer a table; end of story. I had enough of the hostesses attitude tonight and went right to the manager. His attitude was worse than hers. I left and wont be going back.

Well... Uh I hate to even be writing this review seriously because I have been going to the chateau for easily over 15 years now BUT the food quality here has gone WAYYYY down hill! Servings size have gone down too. We were VERY disappointed in the food. Even the waitress made a comment about how small the portions were on a 23$ meal! The steak tip / broiled haddock was pathetic ... The fries came out cold... The haddock was super watery and barely any bread crumbs at all and BARELY broiled . My steak , mediocre at best ( the three small pieces I got ) . My son got the shrimp scampi .. It had 5 tiny pieces of shrimp and a couple cups of pasta for 20$ and It barely tasted like there was any flavoring! It was seriously pathetic. We used to love the chateau ... My friends mom had worked there for years and the food was so delicious then but this... This is not the chateau anymore. The best thing about this dinner was the bread.... That stayed the same thankfully. Now let me talk about the waitress Natalie . She was something else... You can tell shes been a waitress for years and that she just didnt care .... We werent looking for anything off the bill at all and I told her this because I could tell by her expression I think she thought we were . She was an alright waitress , a little condescending. She kept trying to tell my mother " look at how good the fish is , SEE!" instead of acknowledging that the quality was pathetic.

Its really sad how far this restaurant has slid from being one of the best places around town to one that needs to be avoided. I wont name names, but just stay away from here. Several occasions the food has come out wrong, or cold, and every time we ask for assistance, were met with complete and utter indifference by both the staff and the manager. After 8 years of coming here regularly, youd think theyd remember my mom cant have butter. But time after time they mess up the order completely. Just last Thursday, we went out to celebrate my fathers birthday, only to have the evening ruined by them serving my mothers fish still literally frozen. We then had to wait another 30 minutes for my mom to receive her meal, but by then everyone had finished. Hope you enjoyed eating alone mom! NO attempts to make up for it. NO visit from the manager. You can guarantee youll never see us back there ever again.

This restaurant is so bad on so many levels I dont know where to begin. First of all, they lie about the wait time and I think its on purpose. We compared notes with several people who were waiting and they were all misled about wait times. We rolled in around 5:40 and were told wed be seated in about 40 min. An hour and five minutes later, we sat down. The kids were exhausted by that point. We waited another 40 minutes from the time we ordered for the food to come out and it was really awful. How do you screw up a spinach salad? My husband had a pastrami sandwich that he hated. We will absolutely never, ever eat at this place again. I think the reason its popular is because every entree is like a heart attack on a plate. The portions are disgustingly huge and the quality of the food is extremely poor- no flavor :-(

My friends and I had lunch together. Our food was very good with great portions and fresh ingredients. The food came nicely prepared in great combinations. They have a "Pick 2" Lunch Special that was a great deal and offered plenty of options. We all got that. We enjoyed buffalo chicken tenders as an appetizer and ordered various salads and french onion soup. We were very pleased. Our server was Catherine and she was very attentive. We have visited this restaurant many times before and always enjoy it. They have tvs at the table and you can play keno while dining. The place is always clean and seems to do a great business no matter the time of day. We will definitely be back !!

Came here with family, pretty late. Table of 6. The interior here is very nice and cozy. Service is also ok and quick. Food quality was no more than ok. I had fried calamari followed by their house ravioli with meatballs. Calamari was ok but not particularly fresh or tender. The ravioli was fried, which was not indicated on the menu. That was extremely heavy and not particularly good, to my taste. Fried ravioli is so American, not real ravioli. After being in Italy, I cannot ignore that. There was also fish dish on the table and I tried it, and it was honestly almost tasteless. All in all its an ok place but dont expect gourmet Italian cuisine.

This was the worst food and service I ever had I normally dont post things like this but I just have to since my hotel THE HOLIDAY INN recommended this place I had the steak tips with mash patatos and carrots The meat was the best thing Mashed potatoes came cold really cold ..... Carrots came shriveld like the are way to long in the fridge ..... I asked for a second glass of wine the bartender brought a fresh bottle over and filled up my old glass like nothing is wrong ....it tasted like carp ..... Bar tender never even asked me how the food was ......simple things I will never be back in one of these places ever ......

Kind of hit or miss...my mother LOVES this place, I think its ok. Its certainly not "bad" and I will continue to eat there. If you want a chain Italian place, go to Olive Garden in Methuen. I think the food here is alright, but it could be better. I think its fairly average-affordable. Its always packed which must say something for it. No problems with atmosphere and they have rooms you can book for your group. Yea, the waitresses do tend to disappear, I agree with "Ace" on that. But only once have I ever sent my food back here and they fixed it and took it off the bill.
