Im not sure if this is healthy, but its amazing. If it is healthy, they should advertise that more--even saying 10% less fat than grocery store ice cream (or the ice cream across the street *cough* jp licks *cough*). I dont remember seeing anything in store about it. I tried so many flavors and most were great--the ones I thought I might not like I didnt, so no surprise there. I ended up getting half peanut butter and half chocolate fudge (or something similar) with peanut butter cookies on top. Just chocolate would have been too much because its so rich. I also got a container of coconut bar something to go and its fantastic too. Maybe my favorite for take away because its great for a little treat, but it would be easy to overdo it. Having said that twice now maybe their ice cream is the best because I never want too much of it.

FoMu is AMAZING. Im lactose intolerant, but Im all for flavor-- so Id rather take lactaid and eat the real thing since most non dairy ice cream is just not worth the sacrifice. So when I saw FoMu, I was hesitant. Its not just a dairy alternative, but the unique flavors are delicious and its just as good as ice cream, but with the creativity of an artisanal company. The flavors rock and the combinations to create unique smoothies are amazing too. Totally worth the visit and an amazing dessert. Its a category of its own. For any of you who are lactose intolerant-- this is a must. Its good that its not as close to home because I cant drive or walk by without feeling obligated to try a new flavor. Delicious!

This is where people go to find the tastiest, creamiest ice cream around. I went here 3 times in one week I am so obsessed. They have milkshakes, smoothies, sorbet, ice cream sandwiches, ice cream cakes & baked goods so there is something for everyone. This is either coconut based or nut based (almond) ice cream which means any aversions to dairy is a-ok here. I have my favorite which is the banoffee pie-just try it cause its really tasty-but they have so many flavors to choose from you cant go wrong. You get to sample whatever you want so you might as well figure out which strikes your fancy. You will soon understand the not being able to stay away & I dont even live nearby.

Delicious vegan ice cream with all the (optional) fixings Ive missed since going vegan - hot fudge, whipped cream, sprinkles, caramel sauce, brownies and cookies, gummy bears... YUM The last two years since I discovered this place, Ive ordered their ice cream cakes for my birthday. And I raved about it so much my boss/coworkers knew to get me a FoMu cake for celebrations at the office. Whenever Im in Allston, I find some reason to "celebrate" something with a FoMu sundae.

Im a lactard, and have actively been avoiding ice cream for years now. I was so excited when I found this place. Their flavors range from interesting & Unique (Avacado? Lavender?) to your traditional ice cream fare (cookies & creme, chocolate, etc.). In my opinion, its a great value for money! Tip: Cant decide between two flavors? Get both! They can fit two different flavors in a small.

Heard about this place at the Boston Vegetarian Festival so came into the store to check out what they have. Ended up getting the apple cider donut ice cream and it was to die for! There were chunks of donuts in the ice cream and it was the perfect blend of ice cream to donut. I think its a limited time flavor so Ill have to make sure to go back and get more before they run out.

FOMU is amazing. The flavor are original and bursting with flavor. Ive been here many times and never have had a bad experience. All their ice creams are an alternative to regular dairy ice cream and are made with coconut or nut bases. Their flavors vary from bourbon walnut, to strawberry. Delicious! They also have shakes and sundaes, but I have yet to try those.

They had really cool flavors that were phenomenal. I got the earl grey and shortbread and it was fantastic. The person I was with got the avocado and he loved it. He had a peanut allergy and felt really comfortable with how well they handled it. We also got a cookie sandwich and that incredible. Probably my favorite ice cream place vegan or otherwise.

totally disappointed today. one - price on the wall is $7 a pint. even with sales tax that doesnt come out to the 8.51 a pint I was charged. 2nd no reuse container discount. 3rd asked for half and half flavors and got 90% one flavor and the very top rim the other. ok u got carried away scooping the first flavor but dont jip me cuz of it.

Ive only been to their Jamaica Plain location which Google Maps doesnt have. They offer dairy-Free Ice Cream that tastes better than anything Ive ever had (dairy included). The service is awesome. The flavors are orgasmic. This place is a must try, whether youre a vegan, lactose-intolerant, or just like some good ole fashion ice cream.

Not only is it great to be able to have good access to vegan and ethically produced hot drinks and deserts, the ice cream is some of the best in town. The staff are always very friendly and happy to help, and the decor is pleasant and clean. Whatever your diet may be, you should at least try some FoMu.

FoMu has the best selection of flavors Ive seen in any ice cream shop. The people working here are always very friendly and happy to let you try a flavor or two. Id suggest the Banoffee Pie or the Coconut Seven Layer Bar. The coffee is also nice and pretty strong.

This place is THE BEST. I visited three times during my two day stay in Boston. I couldnt help myself. All of the staff members were amazing and the ice cream was delicious. I tried lots of different flavors and they were all super tasty. I cant wait to go again!

The flavors are amazing and widely varied so there is something for everyone. I went first with a friend who has become lactose intolerant - which I am not - but the ice cream (made with coconut milk vs cow milk) is so delicious that I am a regular now!

I was skeptical of coconut based ice cream because Im not a huge coconut fan, but I was pleasantly surprised. You cant tell this isnt dairy ice cream. They have a great selection of flavors, including some you dont really see at other ice cream places.

Chocolate pudding is simply amazing. I usually take a pint and more often than not it is gone in one go. Im very impressed how they managed to replicate ice cream without using milk -- it is a life saver for vegans and people with lactose intolerance.

Great vegan ice cream and treats (like brownies, whoopie pies, etc.). They also have coffee and tea for those colder days. All available to-go. A few tables to sit at and a long bench in the back for additional seating. Friendly staff.

Had lunch at Deep Ellum (definitely try the pretzel) and went to Fo-Mu for dessert. I had the blueberry shortcake and that ice cream is gold folks! Friendly service, nice atmosphere, and ice cream worth writing home about!
