Terrible restaurant and I have no idea how it survives. The menu is terrible and prices outrageous. They refuse to let you substitute anything. Not even meat side for a garden salad. Almost any request you give for food, whether it be less salt, no cheese, extra dressing, medium rare, is completely ignored by waitstaff and kitchen and treat you like you are asking for caviar with a silver spoon. As for their "authentic southern Italian cuisine", as stated on their website, it is anything but. I have been twice and family members been 3 times and each time the quality of the food was dismal at best. I would have to say some food at Olive Garden is better than what Bela Famiglia offers. The quality was poor. The vegetables were wilted if served raw or undercooked if served cooked. Their authentic dishes are clearly poorly done Americanized junk. Service and waitstaff? Horrific, rude, inattentive, and seem to lack experience. Each time I was treated like I was not worth their time and burden. To try and get someone to take your order was a challenge in itself. I am not looking for servers in suits in gloves using a silver platter, Im looking for someone who will simply not treat me Im bothering them. The owners and manager are not much better. He came around asking about the food and my friend gave a polite but honest opinion on how she did not like it. He responded by being rude and defensive and did not offer anything to help solve the solution. When I went to pick up takeout once they glared at me and said as little they could in a degrading tone. All they have going for them is a nice interior and exterior, but if you plan on eating I would recommend you do not choose Bella Famiglia.

By Linda - April 18, 2010 First time to this place, charming atmosphere, small enough to feel you can have a conversation over dinner, Italian music in background nice. Wait staff inexperienced. Salads were very good, fresh, attractive & flavorful. They were a nice size, not too big but probably should have been included with the meal instead of an additional $5. There was also an extra charge for angel hair pasta which doesnt seem right. The chicken marsala was good but not great & at $19 with the angelhair pasta was about $5 overpriced. The veal chop was a great cut of meat, cooked nicely but prepared rather blandly & sat alone on a large oval plate without a garnish, at $27 it was also $5 overpriced. Presentation at this restaurant needs a major overhaul. The wine list offered little range but the offerings were priced moderately. The dessert cart should be eliminated, they would do better to just show you a listing with desciptions because the desserts look terrible on the platter, again poor presentation & only a chocolate chip cookie is made in house. I tried the tiramisu and it looked much nicer when it came & was good, not wonderful as a dessert ought to be. I actually only got it at my husbands urging ( he knows I love a dessert) because the cart was so unappealing. We will not be back. At the price, $100 for 2 people, the food is not good enough, the service is lack luster & a vinyl tablecloth with avacados on it doesnt work. There are much better values out there with much more imagination to the menu & flavor in the food. I would give it 2 1/12 stars not 3.

They make the best pizza in the area period. When my dad help me move to this area, we got a pie and he said that is was how he remembered the first pizza he ever had. The pizza is priced comparable to the other 1/2 dozen or so other crappy pizza places around. When I moved into this area I got a coupon in the mail for a free pizza to the second best place pizza place in town TC Landos, but I would rather pay and and get Bellas pizza. There other Italian food is decent and the price is really just normal for this area. The downside for me is there hours suck. They are closed Sunday and Monday and dont open till 4 the rest of the week, so no lunch :( . I really wish they would consider opening for lunch, at least on the weekends.

Worst restaurant meal Ive ever had! Linguini Vongole was watery, without much garlic or oil, tasteless except for small clams in shells dropped on top. It literally tasted as though someone had put out their cigarette in the dish: basically nauseating. Fellow diners complained of chicken special being bland, barely any garlic or salt. This was a Friday night when they should have been at the top of their game. Wait staff barely trained. Owner was out and about and seemed to have little experience managing a restaurant. Nice ambience, although a little too much chairman of the board. Avoid like the plague!

We were looking forward to going to Bella Famiglia for the first time having heard they have a fairly nice menu. Unfortunately, after calling a few times over several hours the phone just kept ringing. We were not able to contact anyone at the restaurant nor get any information on hours or available reservations. With no one answering, we decided to go to Sprigs at 5 Strawberry Hill in Acton. As usual, Sprigs provided a wonderful dining experience. Maybe next year at Bella Famiglia should they make themselves more accessible.

Food was at best below average. My haddock florentine dinner was cooked in so much butter and oil it floated,The spinach looked like it came out of a can. The other dinner we ordered was supposed to be for garlic lovers but wasnt. If there was extra garlic it was hiding. The salads were unremarkable. The drinks were expensive but good. The service was also good. We will not revisit.

I ate at this place when it opened several years back & I agree that it was bad then. They have completely overhauled their menu, chefs & staff. I went back & was very impressed by the drastic improvement. This place deserves a second chance!

It was alright, nothing to jump up and down about. I will more than likely try it again just to try something else on the menu and give the place a second chance. It will hit the spot if youre looking for some near by Italian.

The marinara sauce was the star of the night. A great balance between acid, spices and sweetness. The tiramisu was overly sweet and the lady fingers were dry. The veal parm was also very good.

The service was poor it took forever for the waiter to actually wait on us. He was more concerned with a bigger table. The food was bland and not even hot.I will not be going back

Good family Italian restaurant. My family had a mix of pizza and pasta dishes and liked them all. Good cannoli too.

One of the best restaurants in the area. We travel over 30 miles just to eat here. Have never had a bad experience.
