I LOVE LM, but after my last visit, I am seriously considering placing them on my places to never go again list. This is one of the worst La Madeline locations in the area. I have been here several times, always felt that the preparation & quality of the food and customer service was subpar with others I visit. BUT this last visit was overwhelmingly difficult to tolerate and just flat out unacceptable. 1. No Complimentary Bread was available until I asked the manager and he fiddled around looking for other things to do it seemed like forever; before going to the bread tray and switching them out and then grabbing a plate full for himself and placing it on a table. 2. One of which was a few cups of coffee spilling and dripping ( it has been there since I got there and he saw it several times with no care at all) - He asked a cleaner to clean it, but it was obvious that the machine had a leak. Someone else later came in and complained again of not only another leak, but that the coffees were ice cold. 3. The womans restrooms SOAP dispenser was empty. At least 3 women were on staff at the time a sign states that you must wash your hands before you exit for workers - They obviously do not follow those sanitation standards here. I checked back again after an 1.5 hours. Never put any in there!!! good think I have such things available with me! 4. The manager was sloppy, slow, and did nothing to help the cashier ( He was eating most of the time or just literally standing there) who was taking orders, delivering food, taking care of customer requests, and apparently managing other staff members telling them what they need to do. Which leads me.. 5. After waiting 20 mins for my food to arrive, My order was not only taken incorrectly, but again, was not prepared as described on the menu. When I questioned this, they gave me a sliver of the sauce that was suppose to already have been on the sandwich and sited that it was only a corner left for them to scrap and they dont have anymore. Should you not have told me of the alteration of my meal, especially since it made it so dry it was not good. The Potato soup did not have 1! NOT ONE potato?? It was just white liquid with a few brown specs and no flavor. Not the usual thick flavorful Pot. Soup I get from LM. They also used iceberg lettuce instead of romaine for the Caesar Salad - which included a countable amount of lettuce at that! I took pictures before starting. Lastly. they forgot the other half of my sandwich on my plate. I wanted a nice relaxing lunch, but left feeling like I just finished a stressful unpaid work shift for La Madeline. The cooks were just worried about chatting with each other and not caring about anyone. Corporate needs to fix this location as I dont see how anyone eats here now. ( Though it is the emptiest LM I have EVER seen, I must have just given too many chances) No Soap? At least be clean.

Went there on Saturday night after dinner for coffee with the wife. Place was pretty empty. Service was good, place was clean. Wife had a mocha and I had a cappuccino which we both enjoyed. We ended up sitting and taking for about two hours and had a very relaxing time. So Sunday night we were in same area, had dinner and decided to get some coffee. Place was half full and after ordering we realised that all the empty tables were full of dirty dishes. One staff member was making a poor attempt to clear up and even when she did get around to moving a few dishes, she left the tables full of crumbs and food. The floors were full of debris. I could not believe this was the same place we had been in the night before! We sat at the only table which was both empty and didnt have any dirty dishes on it, asked another member of staff to wipe it for us and had our drinks. We had also ordered a coconut cake type dessert which was a 5/10. Dont see us returning here.

I have not personally stepped inside this restaurant BUT I have had the God-Given Pleasure to Savor their Outstanding Cuisine MANY times! My sister usually stops by & pick up a few of their goodies on her way back from work in DC. Let me give you the Low Down on what to order here.......The Quiche!......that is some Good Stuff! Also try the Soups.....Awesome!!! The Bakery will blow your mind........and then you can finish it all off with a delicous Strawberry Cheesecake sure to put you in that Happy Place! Go their when you have a Taste for something Sweet!!!! ALWAYS HAD A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE WITH THIS RESTAURANT!!! RECOMMENDED!!!

First and last time. Onion soup looked and tasted like it had been sitting the whole day. Chicken crepe was very salted. Had to turn it down. Just moved into the neighborhood and had hoped for better. Other people in my apt building said the same. Not a classy establishment. Perhaps they think it is chic because one of the helper seems to know some French. It takes a lot more than that. Less than one star!

The servers were very attentive and helpful.they have some private spaces you can reserve, which was why I was there. They had their summer seasonal menu available, which was nice. I wish they had some other broth-based soups. This location is right by white flint metro on the red line and the garage offers 2 hours of free parking.

Goos food (soup, sandwich, & salad). Coffe is great too ( just remember to select small size if that is what you want, otherwise, the asume large size. I recommend the restaurant to ask their clients what size the like, dont asume!, please.

Food was good and the place quiet and clean. Staff was pleasant. I was disappointed they were out of something and it took FOREVER to get my Togo order when they werent busy and I was sitting waiting on it

Love la Madeleine! Tried the new Mediterranean salad. Didnt cate for it. Too many things going on with the Caesar salad with feta cheese, Tzaziki sauce, artichoke and olives. Wont be ordering this again.

I really like coming here for brunch. Their quiche is really really good. They also have great service and their staff is very welcoming from the time you step foot in and from the time you leave as well.

This is one of my go-to lunch spots. The service is always good, and the food always delicious. Try the Chicken Parisien, its cheesy bacon chicken heaven in your mouth!

Good location. Friendly staff. Try to park at the little shopping plaza where the Starbucks and Chipotle is instead of the parking garage where you have to pay.
