Every once and a while we like to go for a drive in the country and end up at Spready Oak Restaurant. The food is always good but on our last visit we noticed that the service was too busy to be friendly. It seemed like they were having an argument between one another. We were just guessing. What some of us dont realize is that most people will return to a restaurant not just for the food but for the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. It doesnt cost anything to be friendly.

50/50 Some of there food is very very good , some not so good ,there is no consistency I really think it depends on who is cooking it . And i notice when they get really busy . The quality lacks ,been served cold food a few times , but then again when I show up next time ,there food will be great . I would love to give them a higher score,but they make it so hard to do . And I hate being served by the older lady ,not very friendly

Ive been going here since I was very little with my family. Its amazing! The food is always so tasty and has great prices. Very nice and comfortable country look on the inside with beautiful paintings on the walls. This place is full of historical value with a simple but delicious menu. There is also the option to eat outside. I always end up returning at least twice a month :)

The staff is EXTREMELY nice and friendly, gorgeous rural setting. The food is a selection of diner-style food with a small-medium sized menu (by diner standards). Definitely a great place to stop if youre traveling the scenic route 1 in the rural region between Baltimore and Philly.

Great place!! These are the kind of places missing in this great country, A Lil piece of Americana. Love the warm feeling of this cafe and the employees are very friendly, They made me feel very welcome. Food was great, Will definitely come back.

Homestyle cafe/diner with foods like Salisbury steak, cheesesteaks, burgers, salads, wraps and breakfast. Super casual place for a pit stop on Route 1 if youre looking for classic American food and no frills. Friendly service.

Slow service. Waitress seems to be in a bad mood. Gave meat sauce with the mozzarella sticks. Food was tasty but I got tired of looking at our dirty dishes and kids were getting restless while we waited for the check. Sorry.

Good tasting but fat unhealthy comfort food. If you like that kind of thing. Place is weird. The bathroom door is right at a table, and people use that thing. Cramped seating, not very comfortable.
