This is the best Indian restaurant Ive ever been to. Its also the best buffet of any cuisine I know of in the DC-Baltimore area, as long as you love Indian cuisine. The serve a buffet 7 days a week at a cost of $11 or $13 on weekends. Their weekend buffets are the best, however. I had three insanely wonderful dishes last time I was at the Curry Leaf for lunch on a Saturday. An okra dish that was out of this world. Same with the eggplant dish. And an outstanding cauliflower dish. Any of those three Id consider batter than any dish at any Indian restaurant Ive ever eaten at, and they had them all. They also had meat dishes, but I dont eat meat. And a dessert that was different from the usual India desserts, but it was delicious. My one problem was I had to pull myself away when I was full, because it was so good I just wanted to eat more. And on top of that, you are allowed to bring your own beer or wine with you and there is no corking fee. So while this is above average what I usually want to pay for lunch, what you save from bringing your own bottle of wine to share makes up for it, as a $10 bottle of wine will usually cost you $30 or more in a restaurant. Hence, Ill bring along some of my favorite craft beer or a good bottle of wine to share, making this both my go-to place for special occasions with friends as well as my current favorite restaurant.

I eat a lot of indian food and I have to say that this is one of the best places that I have ever been. My husband and I moved to the area about a month ago and we have already eaten here 5 times. The food is out of this world (you must try the Kashmiri Naan and the Malai Kofta) and the choices for a vegetarian (and meat-eaters alike) are plentiful. DO NOT BE FOOLED by its location in a strip mall. This place is where to go if you just want good food and amazing service. I have only been for dinner but I have to say that the service is always perfect. We have never had to wait for a table or for food to come. It almost seems as if they they really keep an eye on the table and keep the courses coming within 2 minutes of finishing the last. Curry leaf is casual and you will see couples, friends and families alike. It looks like they have a buffet at lunch (you can do takeout at the buffet too) and they do takeout. If you are looking for good, non-chain food in Laurel or within the area, I would say Curry Leaf should be at the top of your list!

You know that feeling you get when you dont want to stay home and cook but want the taste and smell of home cooked food to just appear in front of you... Well curry leaf gives you that fix. I have been coming here for the past year and their food is by far the best Indian food I have ever had. The restaurant staff is by far one of the friendliest group of individuals you will ever come across and are always personable. Best of all if u are new to Indian food... They offer a seven day buffet from 1130 to 3 for less then $12.00... that offers chicken Tikka Masala... Tandoori chicken... lamb... Seafood dishes... Chicken Byrani and other rice dishes... And a bunch of veggie dishes. Place also makes a cute date night spot in the evening. Enjoy.

I really dont like this place even though Ive tried it several times. Firstly, the restaurant is dull and doesnt make for a special dining occasion. Secondly, the service is OK. The waiters exist solely to refill your drinks but do nothing to make your trip special. The management also focuses on cost-cutting and its evident in the food. The food itself isnt really any good, but its not bad. Its "average". Ive ordered chicken Karahi, chicken 65, and many vegetarian entrees from here and each failed to impress me. The overcooked chicken was definitely just reused from another dish. The curry was terrible and way too oily. The prices have also been raised and paying $14-15 for an entree here is really a rip-off.

This is the best Indian food in Laurel! Every time I come here I am impressed with the quality of the food, especially considering the low price. Its always clean, and the service is top notch. Somehow the busser clears your plate without you even seeing it happen most of the time. You turn around, and when you turn back your dirty plate is gone. The lunch buffet... every time Ive been, the food was fresh, and they frequently change the menu (although some things like chickpea masala are always there). Today they had fried okra in the buffet, and it was the best fried okra Ive ever had. Not over-breaded, and not cooked to goo.

I was very hesitant to try the place because its in a shabby strip mall that seems to get no business. Now that I have been there, I dont get how the parking lot has enough spaces for the restaurant alone! We went for dinner and the food was phenomenal (we had samosas, the pork chops and the lamb rogan josh, and kheer for dessert) and the wait staff is well informed. As of the day of this post, the place doesnt have a liquor license, but they seem to be working on that. For now, BYOB!

Amazing lunch buffet this review is more for dinner. Stopped by the other night ordered the tikka masala and saag paneer. Everything was well seasoned w a lil spice. 4 pieces of naan came with the dish and 2 sides of rice. For 2 people it was a lot of food. We had to take some home. Had to admit for 2 dishes and a mango lassi it came to around $40 which is high for Indian cuisine in Laurel. Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinnee

When my husband and I lived in College Park, Udupi Palace was our favorite Indian restaurant. We were so sad when it closed. When we moved to Laurel, we were thrilled to find Curry Leaf, and even more thrilled when it was just as good as Udupi Palace! Turns out, they have the same head chef! Thanks, Saravan Krishnan, for opening a new place near our new place! Our favorite dishes are the samosa chaat, channa batura, aloo gobi, and lemon rice.

Ive come here for lunch buffets, Ive done carry out, and every time the staff have provided me with top notch currys, fantastic vegetable and chicken dishes, never empty drinks and great conversation. Tucked away in this little shopping strip next to papa johns and the old quiznos you can miss it very easily and parking can be a bit cramped. But sometimes the best places are the little holes in the wall like this.

The vegetable korma is deliciously creamy! Very friendly, professional staff. No alcohol yet, but I hear that you might be able to bring your own? Only note is that the carrots could have been cooked a tiny bit more they were still a bit crunchy - perhaps ask for medium well done? Lovely place. Will definitely go again. :) AND the fresh pistachio icecream was delicious!

We made a stop at this place during our trip to niagra and am glad i chose this place for dinner. Being a vegetarian was hesitant about the taste but every dish we ordered was amazing and worth every penny. I infact took to go for next day and it saved us during our trip. Wonderful customer service, quality food and fast service. Anyone near this place must try it.
