To be honest, I dont even know how the food was or anything else. All I know is that a woman first answered the phone; she gave no greeting, just said "Hold." Literally, 1 word. I said alright, which she didnt hear, and then said to me "Well can you hold?" Um, I said yes and Im aware that she simply didnt hear me, but it hardly warranted that response. Then another person enters the call, and its a male voice. He say "Hello," in a far less than pleasant tone. I responded accordingly asking hi how are you, to which he responded in an extremely mean tone, "Busy, what do you want?" .......... really? Im a first time customer and thats what I get? So, I stated I needed a delivery. Its snowing in Frederick today, and what this a-hole on the other end of the phone doesnt realize that Im stranded and Im a commuter. Thats right, I fell victim to the snow and forgot my lunch, my car was not operating, Im stuck in my office and I was hungry. Very hungry. When I asked for a delivery, this guy actually scoffed at me. He audibly scoffed! Dont get me wrong, I understand from his view point, but one thing I understand more than that is customer service as Ive spent 10+ years in that very same industry. At that point I wanted to scream. I had the morning from hell, wanted 1 thing to make it better, and here this douche is to ruin it. So, he lost his sale. To make it even better, turns out this guy was the manager. Really? George was his name I believe? And yes, he is operating the phones with assuming its OK to talk to a stranger in such a manner. Well, Georgie, its not. Not in your role especially. When I called back to express this, he basically told me "I did nothing wrong and I dont have time to listen to my own mistake." I cant believe Im actually saying this, but Im going to have to get lunch from Papa Johns over something local and probably better because good ol George decided to be that much of an ass that I couldnt bear giving him my business. In conclusion, avoid George. Ive worked in restaurants busier than what this place can imagine. Never ONCE is it alright to let your stress show in such an abrasive way to a customer. Better yet, you really shouldnt be like to any stranger. Good job, Starvin Marvin, Id say you selected some cream of the crop personalities for your management!

I order from here at least once a week for lunch. They are always very quick to deliver to my office and when most places close down because of a little snow, these guys stay open and deliver anyways! They truly enjoy making good food for their customers and getting it to them. There are a couple of negative remarks about their customer service, but this is a good ol Mom and Pop establishment and I find the "realness" and familiarity of the staff refreshing. Instead of reading from a script someone miles away thought up. My recommendation: Get the Steak Fajita Supreme Quesadilla or a Lamb Gyro. Cant go wrong.

Nick, the owner, was very generous to Boys & Girls Club of Frederick County when he donated some delicious pizza pies to our Club for our Staff appreciation luncheon! The pizza is authentic and the atmosphere is informal and warm. Love Starvin Marvin! They support the community where they live Love Starvin Marvins! I ordered 4 times or so in the past and was happy, good food and service. This time the order was screwed up. I called in and they could have cared less. Offered to send another one but obviously didnt want to and pointed out how it would take "another 45 minutes or so" to get it out to me. They obviously didnt care so why bother. The cheese steaks we did get had very little meat on them. For $1 per inch I expect a little more than the equivalent of 3 pieces of steakum per 8 inch sub. Not sure if management changed or what, but I wont be going again.

This is literally the worst delivery experience Ive ever had. They quoted me 45 minutes, which ended up being an hour and a half, THEN the delivery driver forgot my drink and when I said, " no worries man, we all have bad days", he mustve taken that to mean i didnt want my drink because its been another 45 minutes now, and he hasnt returned yet. Also, the food (a burger and onion rings) arrived cold. Bottom line, dont expect much more than crappy service and mediocre food.

The food was not impressive at all for the first time ordering from them I asked for extra meat on my gyro and when they called to charge me extra for it i was asking questions about the gyro meat and the guy got on the phone and was rude and rushed me to decide if i wanted it i have never paid so much money for extra meat it was half the cost of the meal itself will not be giving this place my business again.

Im embarrassed to say we order from Starvin Marvins a lot. I love their pizza. I come from Philadelphia and Starvin Marvins pizza is the best Ive had since moving here. Weve had burritos, burgers, cheesesteak, I also like their french fries without Old Bay, just plain, the onion rings are good too. They may be a little pricey but I think their prices are comparable to other restaurants.

A little pricey, and the prices just went up. Good cheese steaks and chicken parm subs. Pizzas are expensive unless you get a deal- "buy one get the 2nd for $5" is standard, and at the Frederick location at least, on Tuesdays the second pizza is $1. That makes the pizza prices pretty decent, but sometimes you dont need that much food.

I ordered a med pepperoni pizza, a small bacon cheese fries, a small chips today. Pizza- delicious and well prepared (much better than the chains). Small fries- not small by any means but great! Bacon on anything is Heaven. The delivery man was very nice and funny. I will be ordering from here again!

Good food but the website leaves something to be desired. We have been ordering from Starvin Marvin thru GrubHub for a few months now and have had our orders screwed up about half the time. Forgotten items and over charges possible. But the food is good.

Local pizza spot, near a laundromat I go to. Pizza is good considering Im from Jersey where official pizza is god. Havent gotten anything else but the pizza and it is very good within the Frederick area. Def give them a try.

The food is fantastic!!! The best delivery weve had in more than 5 years! Chicken wings were hot and crispy and the pizza was top notch.
