Its the kind of place you might take your mother-in-law on a Sunday afternoon, but not your wife on a Friday or Saturday night. We live close, so have dined there many times and were excited when it first opened. Owner is polite and engaging, and the food is average (with some fare decidedly dull). I would say overpriced too, but some dishes have generous portions. However the reason that I downrate the place is the horribly inconsistent wait staff. We have had rude and inexperienced servers there (who then questioned a 15% tip requesting a 20% tip - after mixing up orders!) and we have had charming pros (who we give an automatic 20%). I suspect they have a turnover in staff there and employ a few too many Urbana late teens or early 20s types who think theyre doing you the favor if taking down your order. The owner really needs to run a tighter ship. Anyway, after what seemed to be a promising start, weve stopped going there as one never knows what to expect. Why risk ruining a perfectly good evening? Instead we drive a little further to Market Street in Frederick and stop in any one of many decent restaurants with far more consistent service. More competition in that area for customers.

A superb pizza, nearly rivals the pizzas from my NY upbringing. Thin, crispy and delicious. I got pepperoni, meatballs and sausage on mine. The meatballs were beyond awesome (as differentiated from ground beef). The only thing I would change is the sausage. It is different than the traditional Italian sausage bits I prefer (that have a stronger flavor). The other meals I have eaten here are equally good. Try not to fill up on the delicious bread. You are making a huge mistake if you pass up this restaurant.

It is a good restaurant, with nice background music and a pleasant atmosphere. However, the meals are slightly pricy, around seventeen dollars on average, but they are more than worth it due to the good quality of the food. Their serving sizes are adequate, not too big and not too small. What is really excellent though, are the deserts, which are very delicious, and very cheap. Overall it is an excellent restaurant, though slightly more expense, and definitely worth it.

Stopped by early on last Wednesday evening. I had whatever my waitress recommended and loved every bite Started with rice balls and Bada Bing Shrimp both of which were tasty. I followed that up with a chicken dish that was lite and tasty. Our waitress was a very charming and helpful woman. Love going here!

Good selection, but food was not that great. Ordered four dishes, only the pizza tasted good. The menu selection was very good, with some unique dishes. The presentation of the food was also very good. However, the actual food quality was not that good. Staff was polite, but not that attentive to our needs.

Five star for waitress friendliness. Good - had veal parmigiana. Appears to be Sysco higher quality breaded veal ready to be cooked yet was good! Not everything r home made. For the food part I d rate it 3 star... and 3 $ for price as it is a bit pricey too.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and have had some of the best Italian food. The food is great the people are great and prices are reasonable. If you are in the area dont miss this one.

Not as impressive as the reviews would lead you to believe. Bland entries which seem to all have the same ubiquitous one dimensional orange sauce. Pizza? Meh, good but not great. Doubt if a return trip is in the cards. Why go out for Chef Boyardee?

For some reason this is marked as affordable, when it is pretty pricey. However this is easily the best Italian food in Maryland. I like it better than some places I have eaten in Italy.
