As basic as a deli sandwich may sound; it is hard to find one thats full of flavor with fresh, crisp toppings and a friendly, clean environment. No worries! C&B Deli is here to save the day and help out with this dilemma. C&B deli is a small Italian deli located in Ellicott City, MD with great tasting traditional style deli meats. They have a very friendly staff that makes you feel welcome and are very helpful at recommending things if your having trouble deciding. They are not your typical chain deli, so all of their products are freshly made or imported insuring that your getting that authentic taste. They sell fresh Meats, cheeses, soups, salads, desserts and also do catering if you are interested. I would strongly recommend going here for lunch or picking up dinner on your way home. C&B has some of the freshest deli meats, cheeses and toppings Ive ever tasted at a Deli. With them being an Italian Deli they offer lots of traditional Italian deli meats such as prosciutto and capicola along with lots of other selections. C&B also has a small import section where you can purchase all kinds of Italian products such as sauces, pastas, and bread ; they also have fresh soups, salads, and desserts for sale that also look very fresh and delicious. I ordered the Italian hoagie, which is their most popular sandwich on the menu. This sandwich was a perfect size and full of flavor! The bread had a nice crunch to the outside but was very soft and fluffy on the inside which made for a great foundation. The meat was very fresh, tasty, and they were not stingy at all! What brought the whole sandwich together was the toppings; as generic as it may sound, " you could taste the freshness". I got the traditional toppings which was lettuce, tomato, hot peppers, onion and their oil & vinegar mixture drizzled on top. All of these simple ingredients came together for an amazing, authentic tasting Italian hoagie that you wouldnt be able to find at your typical chain or carry out. In my opinion no matter what your serving, making sure its fresh and from scratch is the key to putting out a delicious product! For a side I got their "Hot Shots", which are small peppers stuffed with fresh mozzarella wrapped in prosciutto and drizzled with Olive Oil. Yes, please believe this small bite is as good as it sounds. All of the flavors marry beautifully when you bite into it and not only are these delicious but they also make for a great snack. If you like peppers this is definitely a must try! I would recommend trying different things upon each visit, I havent had anything that didnt taste good from here yet! If you are ever in the area and looking for a good deli sandwich stop by and check them out, you will never want a bland tasting chain deli sandwich again.

I went to this establishment 11/6/15 about an hour and a half before their closing time. There arent any table here although thats not a problem. Its primarily a deli after all. Service was welcoming and fast. I decided to order the whole meatball hoagie. As I waited I noticed they sell pasta delivered from a former restaurant in Little Italy which is pretty cool. Prices seemed decent on those prepackaged and cooked pasta dishes ranging from $4 - $13. The meatball hoagie totalled out to $11.13 with provolone cheese. A little pricey but the portion was huge. Definite comfort food. The hoagie roll was fluffy. I wish they could have toasted it. Very nice though. Even with the huge amount of meatballs and sauce, the roll held its own. The sauce reminded me of Subway, but it was fresher in taste. the meatball was nicely sized and flavorful. Overall, no regrets and Im stuffed. Ive had a better meatball sub in Little Italy, but for this location, I would definitely come back.

This place is a treasure in a sea of suburban mediocrity. Is it possible to get a better hoagie? Realistically, yes, it is. Is there a better hoagie in Maryland? I dont think so, and I have been to the places. To get something better, you would need to drive up to Philadelphia, and then there is no guarantee. If you like a nice Italian sandwich, made with good bread, meat, cheese, veggies and sauce, this is THE place to go in Howard county. Plus, there are a couple of other places in Baltimore that I think use the same bread. Really, very nicely done!

Two thumbs up!! This place is so superior to the chain sub places, its not even funny. The meat, tastes like meat, the cheese tastes like cheese, and a nice sauce on it. I get the Italian hoagie. Ive thought about trying other sandwiches, but this one is so good... Anyhoo, Im pretty much a cheap eats snob, and I can tell you that this is about the best hoagie in the area.

Great quality meats, fresh tasting bread, and very reasonable prices. Why waste money at bland subway when you can get an amazing tasting sub/sandwich here at about the same price. Dont be afraid to try your sandwich on something other than a roll, tried mine on rye bread today and it was delicious.

The staff here is amazing! As someone with dietary restrictions, it is hard to find options in a sandwich shop. However, the staff made a special order to meet my needs. They were friendly, fast, and the sandwich was not only affordable but delicious!

This place is gross! I went to get a sandwich and they made the sandwich with no gloves! Bare hands! I walked right out and left the sandwich on the counter! Please wear gloves when handling food. Common sense you would think

Very good Italian hoagie, bread is soft, and makes it great. Get the small as its plenty for one person. I also tried the "hot shots" stuffed hot peppers with prosciutto and cheese which were awesome as well. Great place!

Loved the corned beef sub and Italian hoagie. Corned beef was the better of the two personally. Subs are large and the bread soft and flavorful.
