The other night my partner and I ordered delivery from Noodle King. Having potentially fatal nut allergies, we ensured that they even read the order back, specifying that there was to be no nuts or nut contamination on any of the dishes. It appeared to be well understood. On opening our food (after paying), we found two dishes sprinkled with chunks of peanut. We attempted to call them back to advise and also determine if the other dishes had nut ingredients, as the information was obviously not relayed. By this time they had closed. (We ordered late) We had to throw the entirety of our meal out as the risk was too high that the other dishes could have had nut ingredients. The following day we contacted the manager at Noodle King and advised of the situation. Initially offering to refund 2 out of the 5 dishes, he admitted fault on part of the restaurant but said that the rest of the meal would not be refunded as they are a "business, and need to make money". Eventually, he agreed to pay half of the cost back, but was quite rude about doing so. He again made it clear that they are there to make money, and also that he considers us "no loss" as customers who would not return. It is such a shame that after almost having a very unfortunate incident, that it would be followed with rudeness by the manager. It was clear that they had no concern about putting our lives, quite literally, in jeopardy. Though I really did not expect to hear directly that they were there "to make money". For this, I give a poor review. Our contacting them was to advise of and resolve the situation, in an amicable manner. The rude response compounded the horrible interaction with them. Summary: Poor listening skills, did not communicate nut allergy. Had the nuts not been visible it would literally have caused anaphylaxis and possible death. Rude response to the situation, rude comments and offering to refund half of the value of the meal. With many great Asian restaurants out there, will never eat here again!

The place is not obvious - you have to look for it jammed between a couple of buildings. The street facing side is filthy, run down, beaten up. I was very uneasy pulling in. You are directed around back and it is much better. Not great, but much better. When I went inside, the *interior* was much much better. Plain and simple, yes, but very clean and nicely laid out. The menu had pictures of some of the dishes which was helpful. As is typical, some of the descriptions amused. "Meat on rice" was one, with a picture of an unknown slab of meat on rice. I ordered egg rolls and Kung Pao Chicken. >> Egg rolls - steaming hot, not very greasy, and very tasty. Not the best I have ever had, but Id certainly order them again. >> Kung Pao - I made a couple of mistakes here and these are my fault. I normally order all white meat because Im never certain what those small bits of meat are otherwise, and I get a bit uneasy. I forgot. Some of them crunched a bit. I also forgot to order no MSG and whoever was cooking went very heavy handed. MSG makes me a bit buzzy and Im sitting here practically vibrating - not good. >> Rice (came with Kung Pao) - Perfectly done. >> Service - very fast, very pleasant >> Wireless - Yep. Just ask for the password. That was excellent as Sprint has almost no service there. >> Would I go back? Yes. Id just order correctly.

Went to dinner with the parents and in-laws, who have very particular tastes around authentic Chinese food. Had Eight Treasures Casserole, pork and bean sprouts over pan fried noodles, "AA" lettuce with sauteed garlic, Hong Kong-style deep fried fish filet, and French-styled cubed beef with broccoli. The portions were quite generous and these fairly picky native Chinese eaters were impressed. The place does not have a fish tank, so fish to be cooked is likely frozen. Im not accustomed to eating super-fresh fish, so I was perfectly satisfied with the fish fillets. The parents and in-laws have pretty refined palates, so they were not as impressed with the fish. But they were pretty impressed with everything else. The restaurant is in a very small, nondescript shopping center on the north side of New Hampshire Avenue. We passed by it really easily, had to make a U-turn, and turn into the street right before the restaurant, where they had parking in the back. The restaurant is pretty small inside -- two 10-person tables, 2 6-person table, and the remaining 4-5 tables were smaller tables. The restaurant is family-run, such that the owners teenage sons were helping with answering phones, setting tables, and hosting. So, this place is definitely not a fancy place. But the food was authentic, tasty Cantonese for very reasonable prices.

Noodle King is officially off my list. The food is quite nice, when it arrives at the house in a reasonable time frame (or at all). Our order tonight was delayed for two hours due to a failure with the online ordering service. It had to be phoned in to fix it, which would have been fine if they had then gotten the entire order and sent it. My entree was missing. Apparently wasnt heard by whoever took the order. When I spoke with the store, I was told that a manager wasnt available. They offered to send the eggplant, but decided to remind me that it hadnt been paid for instead of just comping it by way of apology. I spent an average of 40 dollars when I ordered here. Apparently the 9 for the eggplant plus whatever gas for the delivery wasnt worth that. One star for good food, four missing for terrible customer service.

Noodle King has fairly decent service still. However, since I first went there the food quality has been dropping on at least some of their dishes. Some of my family has gotten quite ill after consuming food from there over the past few months (several occasions). Ordered a chicken dish and really did not seem like the chicken was cooked properly at all. The chicken had a rubbery feel to it and I felt very sick after eating it. My mother had her favorite dish the deep fried calamari and got violently ill within minutes of eating the dish. Not sure whats going on but dont plan to return there. The staff is nice but that alone is not enough to keep me going back to a place that makes me sick.

I found this place just in the nick of time! Most Chinese places around here are mediocre at best. I was driving 20 miles for good Chinese food! No more! I grew up with REAL Chinese food, and it is hard to please me. Noodle King is the real thing! Sure, they have all the standard fare (that tastes awesome),but they also have more traditional Chinese food, like Gee, which I learned to love, and cant find many places. Their noodles are to die for! And, (this is the BIG FINISH) They deliver to my house. Thank(insert whatever deity you prefer)! Try the food, you will never go anywhere else again. I wont.

Typical Cantonese restaurant. Service and food here is always great. Prices are about 20% more than what it should be. My family always gets the shrimp w walnut, crispy fish, seafood soup, triple delight, sesame chicken, lo mein or shrimp tofu dishes. This place is great if you want some good Cantonese food but if you dont mind driving out a lil further Wheaton has better food at Full Key or Wong gee
