Very disappointing experience. Ive had decent experiences before that were fine, but not last night. The length of time this went on is my biggest concern for writing this review. Went to get dinner for two through carryout and was told it would take about 10 or 15 minutes. I went in after 20 minutes to employees who all acted unaware of me ever placing an order except for the cashier-- even though there were only 2 or 3 employees on duty, in the same area near the phone and kitchen space, with only two other customers in the restaurant. My girlfriend waited in the car alone for 25 minutes as they made our food. When we got the food back home, my burger was missing several components and had a quarter of it missing-- as if the patty itself were cut straight through with a knife and then thrown back onto the bun lopsided. The pancake I got appeared to have been cut open all along the bottom, as if it were scraped off a hot pan or dropped on the floor. Not to mention the strange orange marks on it. The pancake came on top of hash browns, so it was really greasy. The portion of eggs I got was incredibly small, as in the size of a finger, and cooked on too high heat. When I went to take my food back, the staffed employees didnt know how to give me a refund. I spent a little over fifteen dollars there and had to wait about 45 minutes for the employees to call their manager who was not on scene, then opted to use Snapchat to contact them with me present. The employees were then walked through how to give me back my money but ended up giving it to me out of pocket. Ordering here was not worth the hour and a half of time it took to be done with. From ordering, to waiting, to going back and waiting for my refund, my girlfriend and I ended up not getting any dinner and feeling very upset about a restaurant we were hoping to frequent more often. The experience may have been better with a sit in experience, but Im too wary to find out at this point.

I havent been to Pennys for breakfast yet, but I like their burgers and fries. Theyre a little high priced on ice cream floats or shakes/malts but those are good too. Biggest problem I had was them always out of something the family wanted to order ... but that may be less of an issue now that theyve been in business a while. Service tends to be a bit slow too, but who cares really? Its made to order food, not fast food.

When there on a slow night. Ordered a BLT and the lettuce was clearly bad.... I mean soggy, wet, and turning brown. I pointed it out to the waiter and he apologized but he seemed not to see it was bad. On top of that the cup they served my drink in was dirty.....with literal....dirt or something.... I really want to know of that staff knows anything about basic food safety.

As far as breakfast foods couldnt tell you. But dinner food great!! Service was good the place was virtually empty so it was a few minutes. Steak and cheese great! Then the vanilla milkshake for desert!!! Nice.! Definitely give it a shoot if your in town. Open all night nice down home small town dinner atmosphere.

Chef Mic was in full force tonight. Cold food all around with a significant wait time in an empty diner. When food was sent back, into the microwave it goes until it scolds your taste buds. Outside looked inviting and welcoming, the inside told a different story. 1/10 would not recommend.

Food was good, had breakfast here. Prices are good. The place was understaffed so everything took a long time. I also think the place needs a good cleaning. This seems like it should be a basic quick place to grab food. Think waffle house like atmosphere. I would try eating here again.

The food at this restaurant is horrible. My Reuben was not grilled but rather served on toast, mixed vegetables looked very old, strawberry shortcake was horrible. The motel next door is good (I got a price of $60/night in Aug). Go to Potomac Grill in downtown Brunswick for food.

Girlfriend and I came expected a fast fresh meal, thats not what we got. It took 30 minutes to get the food after we order and to our surprise we got the wrong food and a fried steak that came out of a frozen plastic bag. The water was good

Have yet to be unsatisfied at Pennys. Whenever youre craving diner food, come on in. They make good shakes too. Bonus: open 24/7. Even Double T in Frederick is closed overnight.
