Not kidding. Sounds will be clearer; colors brighter; health magically restored; taste buds taken for a ride. Its that good. As for everything else, the service can be slow, but is generally good. Excellent selection of beer, although have a second choice in mind. The wine is very reasonably priced, which is great in my book. The atmosphere is what really sells me (plus the crab dip/CDP). Its like stepping into a cozy, classy nook that (unless youre there on a busy night) is you and your companions secret little hole in the wall. Ive tried nearly everything on the menu by virtue of living less than two blocks away, and the additional standouts are the Toasted Goat salad (goat cheese - ideal for a lighter, but filling meal), the Monte Cristo sandwich, and the Georgian pizza (peaches, bacon, and goat cheese...dont question, just approach with an open mind). The paninis are also delicious. But seriously....try the crab dip pizza.

Walk into the Belvedere Hotel and head straight back through the foyer, past the walls of autographed pictures of famous visitors. Formerly a speakeasy, this place is a step up from your average bar. My favorite spot is in one of the nooks that line the edges of the main bar area. Maybe its the tufted seats, dim lighting, or the damask wallpaper—owl-print, naturally—but it feels appropriately private. The duck fat fries with truffle aioli are as good as they sound—a crispy shell tossed lightly in paprika that gives way to the fluffy starch inside, fragrant from the fried rosemary and shavings of Pecorino. Mr. enjoyed the caprese pizza, which is like a white version of pizza margherita. The crust is respectable and the cheese is good, so what more can you ask of a white pizza? They rotate what they have on draft. Mr. fell in love with a basil Jailbreak here one summer, but it has eluded him ever since. Sadness.

The food and portion were terrible!! This is the first review I have ever posted online, ever! But my experience there really was bad and I would give 0 star if it is an option. First, there was no hostess and they dont pick up the phone for take out or for any other questions. So I decided to go there to check it out and order some take out that included a half Pan Asian salad (description of greens, asian greens...etc). All I got was what you see in the photo: a few lettuce leaves and strips of fried wonton skin (to justify the "Asianess" of the dish) in a tiny styrofoam box for $6!! What a rip off. Other items were similar in portion. They need a new management or the place is circling the drain, man!

The food is great, selection is wide and offers a little something for everyone. A must have is the Duck Fat Fries with Truffle Aioli, a choice you wont forget and will leave you wanting more and the whole table will be stealing them from you so beware. Another good menu choice is the Ahi Tuna Poke shareable (which means appetizers). Also two great drink choices are Ernies Pink Lemonade & Ave Space Bloody Orange. I am not a beer person the Bloody Orange is an Orange Cider, Yum. & the lemonade is made with raspberry and vodka how can you go wrong. The Owl Bar is a great hidden gem to hang out with a date or a group of friends at anytime.

This was the worst experience Ive had in a Baltimore restaurant. This is also the very first negative review Ive ever written on anything. I was so disappointed, I felt obliged to warn others. The food came in absurdly small proportions (and I dont eat much by typical American standards). My friend ordered ice cream and he got half a scoop of ice cream. The supposed new chef is not adding quality to the restaurant but simply a different variety, which couldnt be more bland. Ive been coming to the Owl Bar for years and while their food has never been great, its been consistent. Im not going back. Yuck. Stick with the Helmand and Doobys.

Great bar with interesting prohibition history! A large assortment of beers on tap. I chose the Owl Bar when I want to have an intimate conversation or start the night out with a decent lager. Food wise, service is slow. The two times Ive eaten there, good luck finding your server. BUT I wasnt bothered both times since I was in no particular rush. Its only an issue when youve been staring at an empty pint glass for 10 minutes. For this reason, I generally just chose the bar. Frequent wedding parties mean a festive atmosphere and chatting up singles from the wedding party. Will continue to go :-)

This place is just okay. Weve been here twice now and theres always something not quite good about our experience. First time they ran out of potatoes for brunch and it was only like 1130 and service was very slow with our bottomless mimosas (we only had like 2 and they were super small), second time we went they said they discontinued bottomless mimosas. The food is hit or miss for some meals. Good French fries, but their other food is alright. Service is always super slow. Its an okay bar with well-designed decor, but not much more than that.

The service was great! The food was fair. Went for lunch and had the portabella fries (shared app) and the French Qrter Burger. I would def not recommend the portabella fries, they were extremely salty and greasy..yuk! The burger was fine. Also, while dining our table was entertained by one of Bmores very own rodents skipping across the cable wires on the wall..disgusting!!! And to top my afternoon off, after leaving the bar I started to feel really queasy. Could be coincidence, but Ill probably stay away from this place for awhile!

The food and drinks are surprisingly not as pricey as other bars Ive been to. Though never beforeu have I had such a legit manhattan or old-fashioned. Yes, I know they have specialty drinks, but Im a classic man, and the Owl knows the standards and the new stuff. The appetizers and food give you a good portion for your food. Ive been both early in the evening and late at night, and the vibe is steady no matter what time Ive been. Its nice to find a reliable spot to impress and be impressed.

Located in the historic Belvedere hotel, the Owl Bar is a Baltimore classic that always tends to offer a good night out. Presumably it used to be a speakeasy back in the first half of the 20th century, but today it offers up a good selection of beer and drinks with a fair food menu. Their big food offering is the pizzas from the brick over pizza on site which is good, but not amazing as some will proselytize. Prices are on par with the area, maybe a little bit more expensive. Good for groups.

This place is fun. It had a great local history and a nice atmosphere. Stand by a radiator in the winter if youre cold. They still heat the place with steam. Beer list is pretty good with plenty of local choices. Prices are reasonable (but not cheap). The place seems to attract all kinds of people, too. 20-somethings mix with young parents, middle aged people, and grandparents. Fun atmosphere! Also, I didnt try the pizza, but it smelled great. Oven is right there in the room.

I live in Mt. Vernon and have been coming here ever since I moved here almost a year ago... the crowd is always varied, the brick oven pizzas are amazing (the spicy latino is delicious), and they have a good beer selection. One less star from the one waiter who gives horrible service... all of the other waiters/bartenders have been great except for the lanky kid with the blonde hair who gave us terrible service and then completely fawned over the table right next to us!
