This review is long over due...Every time I come here Im always disappointed. The staff is so slow even though I do understand everything here is made to order but still have a sense of urgency. I usually order wings with crab fries because thats my go to meal here. The first time I ordered crab fries from here I called in and still had to wait an additional 30 mins after I arrived to picked them up but received a baked potato instead. The second time I come my order was completely disregarded and never made and I watched people who walked in and placed orders and was out in a timely manner. But on the other hand I was still waiting for an order that I placed on the phone an hour ago. I never received any info about my order and why it took so long because clearly they forgot about it. For the second time I was disappointed for the lack of customer service and the quality of the food. The crab dip on the fries were EXTREMELY SALTY and the wings were just bland with no flavor a WASTE of $16.

The food is unbelievably good! We had the Crab Dip Fries, Honey Lemon Pepper wings, and the Spiced Chicken Platter with greens and corn. I ordered Mac and cheese as a side but by the time my order was ready they ran out so I had to choose corn. Still delicious. About the time my order was ready....It took about 40 minutes for my food to come out after I put my order in. When it was ready, the girl that gave me my food had an major attitude problem that I was not fond of. With that being said, let me tell you that this food is WELL worth the wait!!!! Ive being dreaming of going back since I left the place. As for the poor customer service..there is no way I will let an attitude come between me and this delicious food. Ill just have to deal with her , and she will have to deal with me because I will definitely be coming back. Mabe I will call my order in next time. Ps. Get the Crab dip Fries & thank me later ;)

Very unprofessional and disappointing customer service. I ordered crab mac and cheese here about a month ago...get home...no crabmeat...I call to voice my concern and they promised to reimburse me a portion of what I had already paid to them. $13 to b exact. Today I went to order some food and ask for them to incorporate their promise to me of the value of the missing crab. NOT ONLY DID THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THE AGREEMENT!...THEIR EXCUSE TO ME WAS..."WELL, YOU SHOULD HAVE CAME BACK EARLIER THAN TODAY!!!!" THIS MEANS THAT THEY SOLD ME THE MOST EXPENSIVE MAC AND CHEESE IN THE WORLD!!! GOES WITHOUT SAYING THAT I WILL NEVER RETURN AND NEITHER SHOULD YOU...GOOD CHANCE THAT YOU WILL BE ROBBED!!!!!

Im always down to support blacked owned business. The food is amazing I love the spiced chicken. Breakfast is also great. One thing that I want to put out and Im saying this because I want them to get better at it. Everytime I try to call in an order it I barely get someone to answer. A few times that I did get them on the phone, after I place my order and got my estimated time of 20minutes when I got there 30minutes after my food wasnt ready and one of my sides that I order were not available after I asked if they still had any. I really wish they fix these things cause there food is really great.

I have gone a few times and I always support black own business. I have to pass 2 other establishments that offer breakfast to get to Taste This. On this morning of 03/29/2015, I ordered over the phone only to arrive to find out that my order was not taken correctly. Then I was not informed that 1 of the items for the platter was not available. When I asked about a discount for the item and/or a substitute I was told NO. I am writing this review for positive constructive criticism to learn how to make sure that you are servicing your patrons.

Went just two weeks after the grand opening,I called twice but no one answered the phone. When I went inside the restaurant no one was inside.(so the phone should have been answered) My boyfriend ordered the fried chicken platter and it wasnt cooked fully.The chicken was hard to get off the bone(he didnt eat it at all) The rice,Mac and cheese and collard greens were good.Not going back anytime soon.

Got food poisoned. Will not be returning. The first visit was fine, but theres always a long wait at the counter. The second visit was the most uncomfortable I have ever been at a restaurant where supposedly customers should feel welcomed. I go there because I want to support black owned, but once my food is poisoned thats a wrap. By all means, the food is good if they want you to be there.

Good soul food but customer service is sub par and the wait time is extremely way to long if I call in a order and Im told 20 minutes I dont understand why after arriving after 25 minutes I still had to wait 20 minutes in store. The food isnt that good for such a wait its extremely unacceptable for a customer to be inconvenienced by this much time I could have cooked the food.

I was not entirely satisfied with my food. First off, all of my sides were cold, including the rice. The yams had chunks of uncooked potatoes and otherwise not very flavorful. The mac n cheese was really just mac. Hardly any cheese at all. I did however enjoy the catfish. It was hot and flavorful. I wish the platter had come with 2 pieces rather than just one.

Ive wasted 24$.. i was suppose to get 2 pieces of catfish but i only received 1. All of my food was salty and gave me major heartburn. My rice was still hard. It was just all around horrible. Ive shouldve just stuck with Japanese foid like i was craving. Maybe they were having one of those days idk but i do know i will never eat there again..

THIS IS YOUR PLACE Food is amazing , service is so warming and welcoming. my FAV is the honey old bay wings .... sweet potatoes and the BOMB GREENS AND MAC & CHEESE i have yet to order anything and dislike it want my opinion TRY THIS ..... Well as a cook in fells point I will say the food is good .I ordered the ribs it was OK I was expecting real ribs but it did the job for my belly.plenty of food for the price .and it was fast delivery for my first time ordering from this place hopefully it stays that way cause I plan on ordering again

Taste this has really good food; especially when they care about what theyre serving. The staff, both phone and in person is inattentive and rude; thats if they answer their phones. Sometimes the food is haphazardly thrown together. Hopefully theyll get some of the kinks worked out.

Every time I call, Im placed on hold before I can get to order. Orders typically take longer than promise and the rice tends to be extremely wet on some platters. Called on Tuesday at 10:10 am and no one answered. Its hard to support a business that does not even open on time.
