Service was TERRIBLE!! Our server Kelly Was extremely rude, rushed us to eat and leave, overcharged our bill and got upset when we asked her about the charges on the bill. Drove over 100 miles just to visit Boatyard Bar & Grille. We were celebrating 5 family members birthdays and she only gave 2 birthday sundaes to two people and said we would have to share for the other 3. We were also charged for bread and butter (1.99) on each person and it came with 6 slices. We had 7 split checks and EACH Check had $1.99 for the bread on there and everyone didnt eat any bread. As long as Ive ever been to a restaurant in my lifetime I have never been charged for bread and butter. We were seated in the back near the bathroom and we had to ask for stuff (water, napkins, etc)SEVERAL times before receiving. The restrooms were dirty trash can overflowing, no paper towels or toilet tissue. I will NEVER come here again or RECOMMEND the service is TERRIBLE and RASCIST!!!! Worst Ive EVER experienced. Dont go there Im telling you that you wont be satisfied VERY disappointed! I Wonder because we were the ONLY African Americans there Hmmmm.... RIDICULOUS!

Really bad experience this evening. Actually...second time in a row to be disappointed at Boatyard. Upon being seated, the table was wet and chairs and crumbs in them. Bad sign. Silverware was dirty and had to ask for it to be replaced. My daughter was wiping crumbs out of her chair. I ordered the house fish "sandwich" from the regular menu (grilled Mahi). Upon being served, I thought they served me a childs portion...the sandwich was extremely SMALL.....I took a few bites and was very disappointed. VERY LITTLE fish. Told the server and sent it back. The manager came over attempting to pacify the situation.....told him about the portion size.....he said...."everything is per-portioned...sorry you are not happy". Told him thanks but no thanks. This place is supposed to cater to the "locals"....the blow boaters....the stink potters...the working watermen..the locals......seem like Boatyard has become yet another Annapolis tourist trap. Small portions....rip off prices. No thanks.

My first visit to Annapolis and Boatyard, and what a first impression I got! Service amongst the best Ive ever had anywhere. It was rather busy given its a holiday, but I was promptly greeted, seated, and asked if I wanted a beverage. No rush or pressure to quickly order my food, which is sorely lacking these days. My server, Jeffrey, was professional and welcoming from the start even though he had quite a few tables to work. Food: Everything was made to perfection. No kidding that Boatyard makes the BEST crab cakes Ive ever had! Perfectly seasoned (lightly) and cooked ... and sauce on the side, rather then the cakes drowning in it. Conch critters were equally good, and the Smith Island orange cake devilishly good! Its been years since I left a restaurant with a giant smile on my face, and regret that the visit ended so soon! Definitely worth the hour drive from DC!

Four of us went for Brunch on a Saturday AM around 10:00 at Boatyard bar & Grill and have a very pleasant experience. Both the service and food were excellent. I had the Countryman breakfast which allows me a great sampling of their breakfast items. The home fries were great, diced potatoes lightly skillet grilled with pleasant seasoning, sausage had a hint of maple and grits with cheese were are treat. Bread appeared to be home made a hearty wheat sliced thick. The atmosphere is of course nautical with lots of stuff hanging on the walls to keep one busy. The restraint is wall laid out with reasonable room between tables which I very much favor (I hate cramped tables where surrounding tables might as well simply join yours). My first visit to this restaurant but plan to be back

Love this place and have been going here for years. First it was a favorite Bar hangout for me and the food and drinks were great. Staff has always been great... friendly, attentive, knowledgeable. Then My Wife and I went there throughout the years of courtship, dating, engagement and early in our marriage. She Love the Boatyard as well. Then We had kids and the again the Boatyard never Disappoints. it has bee rated one of the most family friendly places in Annapolis...We Agree. Has always been a great place to take the kids. The atmosphere is great, Food great, The Mango Ribs with Crab Mac N Cheese (when on special) are to die for. Unbelievable Fish Tacos as well. This place Embodies what is special about Eastport and Annapolis as a whole.

I took my mother here for her birthday. Love the inside decor. It was lunch time and on a weekday. It was not crowded inside, but full on the patio. We waited 10 minutes for a spot outside. Worth the wait. The crab dip was out of this world! And the crab cakes, mashed potatos and steamed lunch plate was so good I cant wait to go back again. The lump meat in the crab crakes were so big I couldnt get over it. The plate comes with two crab cakes (very little bread, almost no bread, all crab meat!), but you can order just one crab cake. They are at market price, so ask for the price. Two crab cakes was way too much to eat and so I took one of them home for tomorrows dinner. Be hungry when you go here!! Love the place. Will be back.

Came in with a reservation on Sat the 13th. My fault and now there would be a 45-60min wait for a table. Not a problem Im fine with waiting for what I heard to be a great experience. I wait and wait and nothing. I go up to the hostess and there are three now two young woman and a older one. All three then tell me my name is not on there list and I would have to wait another 60-70mins. I said "Im on the wait list I came in early and told you my name and party of five please." The older lady preceded to tell me I never came up and gave said info. So go here if you want to wait all night to be called a liar. Oh by the way me and my party dropped $487.00 at the restaurant down the street. Your loss.

Can anyone else out there remember all the previous names of this location? I have spent many great nights in this building over the past 30+ years and I think the current establishment will be here for a long time! Love the atmosphere. Love the decor. And the food is perfect Annapolis flavor! I am an Annapolitan through and through. I know, I know, Annapolis is changing. But sometimes you can have change and maintain what makes something great. The Boatyard has done it. I love this city and I appreciate what the Boatyard has created in Eastport, another great Eastport watering hole. Go see my friend Dane at the bar. Hell put a smile on your face! Great job Boatyard. See you soon.

Weve been here before and had a mediocre experience. Not much has changed. Shouldve read the fine print on the soft-shell crab sandwich, which had way too much breading (even for panko). Scraped it off. Most Marylanders like soft-shell crab simple - lightly sautéed. I drank Diet Coke, but my husband had two drinks from the bar that sky-rocketed our LUNCH bill to $50. The guest at the table next to us kept getting loudly dinged with text message alerts every 30 seconds, while a small boy paced back and forth from his parents table to ours to check out what we were eating. Well probably be back - the next time we get another bout of amnesia, that is.
