Ill start with the positives. Service was great, food was great although needed a bit of salt. Prosciutto and melon... perfectly fresh, sweet, tender melon and nice prosciutto even if it was a bit too thin. I could eat that dish all day. Bf got braised pork with pasta and beans and greens etc. And was very happy with it. I tried it and also thought it was delicious, though the pasta cuts were a little beyond rustic and ranged from fettuccine to almost a ravioli sheet, with some pappardelle in between. I got tortellini in brodo. Considering it was only $6 I wasnt expecting a ton, and was surprised by a large bowl. Pretty much just tasted like parsley it was garnished with so much of it. And there were four large, obviously homemade tortellini. Always love handmade pasta. Issue was that they were so big you had to cut into them but the filling was just straight cheese, I assume, because immediately after cutting into it it all dissolved into the broth and left be with wet empty pasta. Also one of the four arrived exploded which was a shame but after eating the others and losing the filling I guess it didnt make much difference. This was all acceptable, and totally fine. Whatever. The main issue was that we arrived around 5:45 to a half empty restaurant. Took about half an hour for our appetizer (slices of melon wrapped in prosciutto) and then about an hour after we had finished that for the entrees. Didnt realize they were braising the pork to order.... Lol. Wanted dessert because it looked great but didnt order it because we didnt want to wait another hour. Literally almost asked the waitress for the bread back. I get that it takes longer when you cook everything to order and make quality good, and especially when you only have two cooks, but come on, if you have less than ten tables to serve it should never take as long as it took last night, it was absurd. The food was great but I would honestly not go back because the wait was so ridiculous. And I dont mind waiting for good food we werent in a rush but damn, get it together...

I recently went to Ribollitas with high expectation becaus I had heard great things about the place. I went with my two friends and we are all young professionals, who just happen to look like we are all still in highschool and therefore we were treated like we were still in highschool. I couldnt believe how rude some of the servers were to us, even as far as rolling their eyes right in front of us. Even the food was subpar. I had the scallop special and it tasted like the chef went outside and rolled them around in the dirt, there was so much sand that hadnt been cleaned off the scallops. The antipasto plate was also severely unimpressive. I have no desire to venture back to this place anytime soon.

Food was good but did not live up to expectations based on price. The chef is a bit too fancy interpreting food from this region. Tuscan food should have the fewest number of (great) ingredients possible. For instance, my wifes ravioli was overpowered by the balsamic reduction - why mask the main part of the dish?! My stuffed eggplant was a bit tasteless with lack-luster eggplant and cheese but tasty red sauce. Apps (Caprese salad, mussels) were excellent. Once again, there was too much going on with the maple cheesecake with raspberry/balsamic(?) reduction dessert. Service was excellent.

I just had their scallops in a white sauce - I look forward my return visit - it will be difficult to order something different. Like many Portland restaurants it is a small place so reservations are a must - great service and a nice varied menu. My wife had the scallops in the white wine sauce and she enjoyed it, as did I, while finishing her meal. Serving sizes are ample - prices are typical for Portlands fine dining restaurants. A great Italian restaurant to add to your list of regulars - parking is difficult.

My experience was not about food. As we are about to sit down, I remove my blazer and hang it on the back of the chair. The latter did not bear that light blazer. So the chair flips backward as i was about to sit.. and you can imagine the rest.. But what shocked me the most was when the waitress comes up to apologize and says" We are sorry, our chairs are so light-weighted they cannot support anything on them, and it happened to previous customers as well". You may want to keep that in mind next time you go!

My family found Ribollitas last night and was blown away with the excellent Italian food...the time it took for the kitchen to bring that food was much slower than wed have liked. Our waiter told us many times of how all the menu items are made fresh and to order...but it didnt stop our rumbling tummys. Id highly recommend the Ravioli! Were definitely coming back...at least its good to know of the wait.

We frequently, for us, dine there, one of our favorites. There are always imaginative dishes in addition to the very good main menu. One of the more imaginative plates is the antipasto starter, which is always different, always interesting, always appetizing. The wines are, like the menu itself, reasonably priced and of good variety. One of our top two in a city that has many excellent restaurants.

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Portland - small, intimate, personable service and carefully prepared fresh and flavorful Italian cusine. One evening we lucked into the clam and pork belly risotto - love at first bite! If you are hungry when you arrive order an appetizer, salad or soup - each meal is individually prepared and risotto takes about 30 minutes to reach creamy perfection.

Went here on a recommendation and was not disappointed. Its very small and food is made to order so you will wait a bit longer but that is to be expcected at a place like this. The wine list can keep you entertained while you wait, along with tasty appetizers. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and our dishes were both excellent. Id go back again.

I got take out so my review is based on that. The food was quite (actually very) good, sauce had plenty of flavor and the portion size was more than enough. Prices are slightly higher than they are on the website but still well worth the money. Also the resturant is very cute if you decide to eat there.

Really nice staff, lovely atmosphere perfect for a first time date :) The food was really good! However, I do wish the portions were a little bigger in size. The prices were reasonable for a small restaurant like this, especially when it is only open during dinner hours.

I had ravioli....soooo good, light and tasty and perfect portion...would certainly repeat it was so delicious. Hubby had scallops in sauce which was also very tasty. Service was great and look forward to returning. Reservations a must...

I had white fish in brothy saffron sauce that was bland. My wife had a pork dish with white beans and pasta that was greasy but decent. Overall not bad food, just lacking the depth we had found at other restaurants in Portland.

Accessible, delicious Italian food conveniently located. I cannot commend the service enough. Our waiter was charming, friendly, and patient, and made my evening both enjoyable and memorable.
