My husband and I stopped by for a drink after dinner and received excellent service from all the staff. The beer was great too!! That was last night... Let me just say this establishment has some wonderful young adults working there!! This evening after dinner we returned to a car with a dead battery. We were parked right in front of the restaurant and the hostess said she had jumper cables in her car. Within minutes she got her manager who brought his car around and jump started ours (after helping us push our car to a spot to make room for his). Not only is the food, drink and service excellent here; but the employees have a heart of gold!! Thank you Tucker and Brooke!!! Be sure to visit Beerworks when in Bar Harbor!!

Figured I would give this place another try but should not of bothered. Service here is absolutely the worst in Bar Harbor and is as slow as you can get. Plus the food is some of the most mediocre I have tasted. I mean how the heck do you screw up a lobster roll with a nasty hot dog bun too small to even fit half the meat you are trying to fill it with? For the price, they need to upgrade the food and waitstaff. I see this is owned by the other mediocre restaurants in town Cherrystones and a new one Jalapenos and speaking for Cherrystones that one is just as average as this one. Skip it, there are like 20 other good restaurants in a mile radius.

My husband and I stayed in Bar Harbor for our honeymoon last October. We ate at Rupununi twice in that week. Its been nearly a year and I still dream about their lazyman lobster and ridiculously awesome butternut squash. My hubby enjoyed sampling the local brews too. Were returning for our second honeymoon this October and plan on eating at Rupununi several times during our week there!! We cannot say enough about the exceptional taste, quality and affordable pricing for the portions. Cant wait to come back!!

Booked a rehearsal dinner for 36 people 3 months in advance. Was told by manager Tucker that it would not be a problem. Called again 2 weeks in advance to confirm, again manager Tucker said it would not be a problem. Called day before dinner and was told by manager Tucker that he could not accommodate, but we could stop by with our group at the time that we scheduled and he would "see what he could do". Will never return to this establishment. Horrible management!!!

We went there today and right at the street entrance where the hostess stand was was an old pile of vomit. It really doesnt matter if it was from an hour ago or last night (my guess the night before). But why would anyone want to eat somewhere where the staff doesnt notice or care that puke greets its guest. And BTW the guests are stepping in and dragging in vomit during lunch rush. Disgusting. We left and had a nice, clean meal on the wharf.

We sat on the patio since were allowed to have our dog. We ordered the nachos with chicken and it is a good thing the waitress told us how big it was. The nachos were layered with toppings top to bottom. The nachos were really good. We had a lobster roll, and while expensive, tasty. They have a great selection of local craft beers. Had our first, and only exposure to a Maine hotdog, it is pink. Fortunately it was for the dog.

Very nice place with average prices for the area at about $15-$20 average per person. Beer selection is extensive, again reasonably priced. Wait is long if you have a large party over 6. Even longer if you want to sit outside. Lastly if there is a vegan in your party...dont feel there is a black bean wrap to die for...and they will make veggie sandwich even though its not "officially" on the menu. Enjoy!

Look, im no restaurant snob but this place is BAD. The only good thing is that my steak was cooked correctly. seasoned? no. Sides, BAD. My wife had some sort of pasta dish. i tasted it at the end of the meal and if it would have been served to me i would have 100% sent it back. Also, the service was pretty much non existent other then actual food delivery visits. Just dont go to this place...

Honestly the reviews dont do this place justice. I just had two of the best stouts Ive ever had in my life. Seriously. Im picky. The duck tacos. OH MY GOD THE DUCK TACOS. OH MY GOD. Amazing. The chef is extremely talented and the bar tender is very knowledgeable. Just met the manager, Tucker. I had to compliment him on running such an amazing restaurant. Great guy, very humble.

Beer works, so one would think it would welcome you in to have a beer. As we declined menus and only wanted to have some beers we were told that if people looking to dine came in wed be asked to give up our table. OK,,,5pm, not crowded on a WED night,,,,,right. We tried the beer and ate down the street. Had the hostess been nicer we probably would have stayed for dinner

Nice location, ate outside. Ordered a Plain Jane cheeseburger and hated it. The meat was so cheap and had no taste, big patty but had to force myself to finish it. Fries were just ok, but cost extra. The wife had a salad and didnt like it either. Might be a good place to have a beer or cocktails but I wouldnt ever eat there again if it was free.

This was one of the few places I tried to eat at my birthday weekend. The meals looked good and ok size portions however they were not really. The burgers are cheap frozen pattys and this was my first stop my birthday weekend. The alcohol wasnt the best ONLY good things was our super smart and friendly server who helped me navigate the island.

Food was good, though a bit overpriced. Service was a bit on the poor side - one table kept the waiter preoccupied the majority of the time, just by talking. Had to ask for a refill of my drink when I was finally able to get the waiters attention. Large parties can create a noisy environment with the floors and ceiling echoing the laughter.

Sat upstairs and outside, which was a great idea after a long hike and bikeride. Enjoyed one of the best burgers Ive ever had, which is really something for a vegetarian (we dont have many good options). Had the brunch burger without bacon and the quinoa patty. Wonderful. Had a stout which was good, dont remember which, it was fine.

Beers were great and staff was friendly. Seemed to be a lack of communication between upstairs staff, downstairs hostess, and kitchen, though. Upstairs staff would seat people sent upstairs to wait at the bar, so several people were seated before us who came way after us. Wings were disappointing, but the Thai dumplings were delicious!

After being seated, we waited for 15 min for our waitress to make an appearance, who was at the bar chatting with one of her friends. I ordered the grilled southwest chicken salad, which came out 25 min later with three small strips of chicken and a huge plate of lettuce. One of the worst places in Bar Harbor. Go elsewhere!
