My first time there was 7-29-16.were in the area for my wedding anniversary weekend away from our two kids.this was walking distance from our hotel so we thought wed try it for dinner so my wife who hardly ever drinks could have a few cocktails. My wife has an older style drivers license as it was issued before they released newer ones and its 6months from expiring.i ordered a drink and my wife went to do the same.the waitress took her Id and went to get her drink.the watress came back with my drink but said she was unable to serve my wife.said it was older but seemed too new.the Id was Im great shape,not a fake.My wife is 29years old and doesnt look like some teeny bopper.I asked to speak to the manager they gave some lame justification as to what theyve been warned to look for.this was a DMV given license non altered in any form. The people involved were incapable of making an educated decision that the I-d was real and my wife older than 21.i paid for my drink and then left to sea dog for a better setting with my dinner and my wife able to have a cocktail.Ill never ever visit this place in bangor again nor recommend it.

The manager was rude. They would not take reservations for a 20 people birthday party. Said that we could :take a chance" that there would be tables available. Why would I want to TAKE A CHANCE that 20 people want to sit out on the sidewalk and not eat? That makes no sense. I have family traveling and a lot of co workers and friends coming.Food is mediocre. and whenever we are there were sitting on another tables lap. They really need to consider adding on to the building, I dont want to have someone touching me while im eating fromt the booth beside me or hitting me with their chairs when they get up. Sad because Ive been going there for years atleast once a month.. I know I wont recommend it to the guests that stay at the hotel I work at and wont be having any more get togethers there. Ill make sure everyone knows how bad the customer service is there.

Gutes kleines Restaurant mit einem Sportsbar und einem Dinning Bereich. Die Bedienung war schnell und nett, das Essen gut und preislich mehr als ok. Es gibt verschiedene "Specials" jeden Wochentag ein anderes Angebot + nach 21Uhr Fingerfood günstiger. Kein HighClass Lokal aber grundsätzlich vollkommen in Ordnung. Kann man weiter empfehlen.

Stopped by for dinner on our way to Nova Scotia....on the recommendation of a local as we really didnt know where to eat close by our hotel. Well, we were blown away by the service and by the quality of the food! We had the fajitas which were ample in portion and delicious in taste! I think our server was Anne and she was exceptionally helpful and friendly. It was really busy but the service was still fast and attentive. We love this place and we will revisit on our next time through the area. Thank you, Jackie and Bill, Middletown, DE

Bought a deal at xmas and they put a coupon in side that would expire. So not in press with that at all so u made 5 off me but u didnt I gave that to the waitress for a tip so she got nothing so thats how u treat your customers so thats how u also treat your workers in return shame on you ,Melissa Bracywaitresses was awesome but not accepting your own coupon not ok so Im a good at fb so the word us output u people

This restaurant is within walking distance of our hotel. The waitress was Aleisha and she was amazing. Met our requests without writing them down and with a smile. One funny coincidence is that we do certain colors of things for our 3 boys and when she brought out the kids drinks, their different colored straws were in them! The food was amazing! So many choices so nobody had to compromise. We will be back!

My experience here was less than great. The restaurant is old, dingy, and outdated. It took about 45 minutes to get our food and it was bad. Our burgers were undercooked (my husbands medium rare burger was almost raw), the bun for the burger was soggy, the veggies were limp, and the fries were cold. Even the complimentary popcorn was stale. One of the few good things is that the staff is very nice.

Great atmosphere and great food, except for one. Every Friday and Saturday they have a prime rib special. Dont order it. Because you wont get a prime rib, instead youll get a steak. Literally. This was the first time Ive ever had grill marks on a prime rib which is counter intuitive to what a prime rib is all about. Disappointed, but will go back with something else in mind.

This Ground Round was convenient to our hotel and we were able to pickup food late night which was the best part. We ate in the dining room earlier in the day too and it seemed very outdated. Food was just okay, nothing special and part of the order was messed up when it was first delivered. The bar area did seem newer and better tended.

My Kids LOVE this Place! We were in Bangor for 2 weeks and literally all I heard was "Daddy are we going to the Ground Round Tonight?" My Girls Pimped that Place, That Place Pimped my Girls, The Beer was Cold, The Waitresses were awesome and fast. Honestly, Its an hour of awesome. I would love to live close to a Ground Round all day long

One of our favorite places to go in Bangor. We enjoy the atmosphere most of all. The staff is always friendly and make us feel like family. We have always felt welcomed and appreciated. Food is good, menu changes often. Nice variety of drink specials, always cold and tasty. Great place to catch a game with friends or family.

Mistakenly served a regular Salmon dish as if it is gluten-free. Remake was burnt on the outside and way undercooked on the inside. Re-remake was fine and eventually went into a takeout box. They took responsibility and did not charge for dinner. I rather not have a free dinner and not stand gluten side effects.

Staff is nice. My sons never tried yellow mellow soft drink and wanted to try it and our server told them hed bring something else if they didnt like it. A lots of thing on the menu. I really liked their lobster roll last year. We were never disappointed with anything we tried. Cant wait to go back

Havent been to Ground Round in years, all have closed around us. Since it was close to hotel I figured why not. Well Im glad I did. The Boneless Buffalo wings were awesome as well as their chicken on their cranberry walnut chicken salad was so flavorful and the portion was substantial

Ordered beers, chicken fajita and a Ruben.... Had beers in 6min... Food showed up 45min later.... In between beer and the food coming, waiter never checked in once.. had to take food to go as we were late to an engagement. Ate food on way.. Good Lord... It was just awful....

Was travelling through and didnt know this chain existed. Glad we went. Excellent service and wonderful meal at a reasonable price. Even had a special on a large beer. Bonus!. Go hungry....portions are generous. At this level you couldnt ask for anything better.
