China Light is the poorest excuse for a restauraunt in the Bangor area. This was our first time trying China Light and we were excited to try it. We called and ordered our dinner which was two simple meals, and was told that it would be delivered in 45 minutes. We wait, and wait, and wait, and wait some more....1 hour and 45 minutes later we call, get hung up on, call back and state that we feel as if we should not have to pay for our meals because of the long wait. We were then told that if we did not pay, we will not receive our meal, and that they were calling their driver to cancel the order and was told that "we only have one driver on tonight".....thats not our problem, sir, you clearly need to staff better. Worst customer service I have ever received at any restauraunt in this area. Will never be eating there and will be spreading the word to everyone I know.

I am recently retired (65) and I have enjoyed chinese take-out for 50 years, all over Canada and the USA. Ive easily rated this Bangor, Maine store #1, out of about +/- 200 that Ive purchased food from during my lifetime of enjoying "chinese take-out". Ive been enjoying this location for 25 years (75 visits) and my favorite treat is their combo #97. They are busy enough to need to use 2 cashiers and 3 chefs = 5 workers, to keep up with demand. They are easily the busiest (take-out + 35 seating area) store Ive seen in 3 million miles of travel to date. I wish they would offer a buffet !! My #2 store is Chans House in Moncton, NB, Canada, and my #3 store is in Orlando, FL.

China Light used to be the best place to get good Chinese food at a good price.. well.. times have changed. Not very long ago it cost around $12.00 give or take for 2 people to have a quick meal.. now that same meal is over $16.00. In comparison 2 of us can eat at a local steak house for around $25.00 (if we do not get the $15 steaks) Food is still good usually.. but from time to time orders do not taste as they should either.. something that never happened a few years ago. Still.. its one of the better places to get Chinese food without spending a ton.. but I just want my $5.95 meals back.

Been eating here since the early 90s and its been one of the best take outs around. Service has never been exactly friendly but Ive never really cared, over the years you get used to it. Many combos/variations and choices to have here youll get what you want fairly cheap and fast. The only gripe that prevented me from giving 5 stars has been inconsistency in quality. Which isnt often but does happen on occasion.

Best place to eat if you want to quickly grab some Chinese food during lunch or on your way home from work. Quality is usually very good, friendly staff (no idea what others are talking about, they were probably the rude ones...) and conveniently located. Only reason I subtracted a star is because the consistency (like most Chinese restaurants around the area) is occasionally hit or miss.

Always forgetting something.. Poor guy driving on the roads tonight get here to have forgotten my drinks again.. Seems to always happen to my address... If they do charge me for it they forget it and if they dont charge me for it they have a reason why they never decided to charge and deliver with my order.. Wish there was more options in town..

Dirty, expensive, the staff is rude and they constantly scream at each other, if the food is not dry it is raw. Everything is bland, and you will regret ingesting it within minutes... Overall, do not go there unless you are absolutely mad and love getting terrible service and a decent colon cleansing. -3/10

Inexpensive, decent take-out Chinese food served up fast in styrofoam boxes, usually filled to the brim. LOTS of combination plate specials. It can be tricky getting in and out of the parking lot. There is limited diner style seating inside. No table service, you just carry your tray to your own table.

This is my go-to cheap Chinese takeout joint in Bangor. The food is tasty, the restaurant is no-frills, and the orders are filled VERY quickly most nights. Sometimes, I can call at 5:30, put on my coat, drive down the street for a couple of miles, and literally have my food ready and waiting.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CHINESE FOOD IVE EVER HAD. TASTES LIKE CARD BOARD, ONLY WITH LESS FLAVOR. TRIED FEEDING SOME OF THE CHICKEN TO MY CAT AND EVEN HE TURNED IT DOWN. LUCKILY I ASKED FOR SOME HOT MUSTARD SO I JUST USED THAT TO DROWN OUT THE GARBAGE TASTE. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY PEOPLE!

Food is usually good, when you can actually get what you ordered. Regularly mess up delivery orders and then will almost never fix the order unless something is actually missing from it. If you can actually get what you ordered though it is usually quite good.

Been eating here for a few years and I love the food! If you are looking for customer service, look elsewhere. They have a pretty large menu to order off of and fill the plates up to the top! This is my number one choice for Chinese food in Bangor.

The best Chinese food around. I dont know what it is, but Ill take the Bud Lite Challenge with all the others. Food is always consistent in taste and presentation. Staff is friendly and courteous. Call-in orders were never wrong.

Crab rangoons were the only good thing I got. The rice, boneless ribs and lo mein were very bland. The egg roll was atrocious and the beef and chicken teriyaki were over cooked.
