It sucks that I cant give it no stars. Extremely tired after long shifts at our jobs, we decided to order from Menu Express. We didnt want Asian or Mexican, so that left us with this place. Never. Again. We each ordered a cup of the shrimp, corn, and crab bisque, which was cold, greasy, and so salty I downed two glasses of water while eating just that. My entree was the "Northshores Best Burger". Ha! What a laugh. The cold hunk of meat was utterly flavorless, which made the soggy sweet onion bun just nasty. Neither the sautéed mushrooms or onions had any flavor, either. He got the seafood platter for one. Ill give it to them that it was a decent, even amount of each type of seafood. But, thats about it. Again, cold and flavorless. It tasted like the just threw them in some flour and then into a deep fryer. Neither of us actually finished our meals, though I tried simply because I was starving and didnt feel like cooking. All in all, I get the feeling that this is a "New Orleans style" restaurant run by Northeners. TL;DR Cold and flavorless. Disgusting.

We have been going to the Mothers Day and Fathers Day buffets at Camellia in Abita Springs for several years now, however, our experience this year was horrible - which is putting it nicely. The restaurant was jammed with extra tables and folding chairs, the food was barely room temperature, including the crawfish, corn and potato soup, and the wait staff left a lot to be desired. This was the worst food we have ever eaten and will NEVER return. I think they have gotten way too big for their own benefit. Then to add insult to bad food, this year they started adding 18% gratuity to the price of the buffet - really? What service did I get other than someone took us to a cramped table in a corner barely fit for two people. We couldnt get the waiter to even get a drink - sorry excuse for what used to be a nice place to go for Mothers Day as well as Fathers Day. Very disappointed.

Im giving 1 star total but solely for our server. But she was really 5 stars. The food was discouraging. Tasteless and without presentation. We saw the sign on the main hwy and decided to stop in for seafood. When my wife and I parked the car, we wondered if it was open. Im sorry, but I wish it hadnt been. The cook just cant cook. Their specialty, the eggplant parmesan was disappointing to say the least. I didnt tell my wife, but it really looked like someone got sick. So was the spinach and crab dip. Thick cheese on top with some sort of brown crab stuffing layered in. With overcooked fried bowtie pasta for dipping. But you could NOT dip in it. But again , our server was amazing. Too bad shell be working somewhere else soon. This place cant make it unless theres enough unsuspecting travelers to stumble in. But good luck to them.

I eat here regularly. Briana is a good waitress, but the service has almost always been good. I tend to go during off hours, so I would expect the service to be good. I did have one bad experience on their discounted oyster night, but 1 bad experience in three years isnt bad. 7/20/2017:. Its been a good three -one months since I have eaten here. Its my first Sunday Brunch. The brunch is mediocre at best. Vegetables overcooked. Paneed meat dry. Many dishes were empty. Service attempted to be attentive, but were at my table when I needed nonething and often absent when I did. Buffet and tea 17.00. Oh, and no lemons for tea or water today. I do agree about the bread pudding. I would eat here just for it. With sauce so sweet it will make your blood sugars in the diabetic range if you arent already there.

Ordered the Chicken Pontchartrain which is "Seasoned and grilled chicken breast atop fresh angel hair pasta covered with our Cajun cream sauce topped with fresh parmesan". There was NO salt , seasoning, or taste to the pasta and sauce . It was so bland it was inedible . When we called the restaurant to complain about the situation we were told that is it supposed to taste like that and "cant we just put some salt on it ?". Then they told us to drive to the restaurant to get another dish . We ordered from Menu Express so no we were not going to drive there over their mistake . Not the customer service or taste we were expecting for a $16.75 meal nonetheless $60.00 order. I will never order from here again. We were however very impressed with how Menu Express handled everything and are thankful for their great service.

This used to be one of my favorite places. But I wont be coming back, three strikes and youre out? Ive had cold soup, sour soup, and now spoiled mac and cheese that tasted like cleaning supplies...Im so glad that I tasted my childs food because Im afraid she would have been very ill had she eaten it. It was swapped for cold fries, and I was still charged for her entire meal. I feel like nothing is fresh. The food is just thrown in the microwave and brought to you at an expensive price. Too many other local places that are way better.

Typical American cafe food-for the south.Food is always good. Since we live nearby we visit ocasionally. Corn, crab, shrimp bisque is filled with seafood. Fried food is good but their cocktail sauce is not the best. My husband loves their Camelia Club sandwich - it is always packed with meat and cheese-cant get your mouth around it! They have specials every night from raw oysters to all you can eat crawfish to burgers 1 night. Thursdays is senior night- anyone over 55 gets 45% off their entrees!

Food is good but service is way too slow, 3rd time giving them a chance because of the good food. But dont think I will be back due to the slow service. 2 of the 3 time we were 1 of 5 tables occupied so no reason for the neglect of service. Also we came on a Sunday night because there website said kids eat free, but when the bill came they told us they dont do that anymore and need to update the website.

On Fri 7-30-10, the muffuletta I ordered had been microwaved, probably taken from the refrigerator. The manager, Heather, did not dispute that. Also, my wifes fish was overcooked but the shrimp casserole was good. We have been once before, and I thought it still appeared to be a kind of greasy place. The manager said that the owner is seldom ever there. That figures.

Stopped in for the lunch buffet for the first time and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. This day, chicken, pasta, salads, bread pudding and some kinda cake. I tried it all this day and everything was delicious. Also they were service .50 cents oysters. For the amount of food on the buffet and the great tasting food this place is an excellent value.

There was a time when this place excelled in customer service, but that time has come and gone. Poor food quality, prepardeness, high price points, and clueless staff. I regret having to give this rating because there was once a staff here that was beyond amazing, and the price was worth it. What a sad experience this has now become. Very unfortuate.
