Food was good. The waiter, Adam, made it difficult to enjoy. He didnt tell us all the specials, did not bring out our soup before our meal arrived, blamed it that they ran out (we arrived when it opened at 5pm), then offered to bring it out for free. We agreed to take one, and it was a different soup than ordered. They were not out of the original soup as he claimed. He did bring us a free dessert to make up for it. Then, he didnt bring us any of the scratch off cards other diners were getting at the end of the meal. It didnt matter, we dont plan on going back anytime soon. The food is good here, but not great, and really not worth what is charged. Go early, and avoid our waiter. Dont bother ordering the molten chocolate cake. It tasted a few days old and had a spongy texture.

I am a native of Baton Rouge. Our waitress, Jackie, was rude and dismissive to our party of four adults. Our food was mediocre, showing clear signs of food-cost cutting. Baby shrimp have no place on the menu at a restaurant claiming to be a Louisiana seafood establishment. They look and taste to be the pale, flavorless, foreign farm-raised variety; what grandma used to call "gumbo shrimp". $125 tab and not a single jumbo shrimp was seen (out of four shrimp entrées). The "crab-meat-challenged" crab cakes were the all too familiar fried stuffing. What we experienced was a restaurant in decline, surfing on their previous reputation, demanding prices for quality they are unwilling to deliver - a drama too often played out in the restaurant scene.

The food was fine. The menu is not extensive. The wait for 2 people, early, on a Wednesday was ridiculous. Our waiter was awful! Ive since been told that hes been there for a long time, is usually bad, and probably faces no consequences, so that tells me management is a bit of a failure. I went on my birthday, specifically for the shrimp and grits. They are not on the menu, so I ordered some fish. Later I hear other waitstaff telling people the specials, shrimp and grits being one. Our lazy waiter never bothered. I certainly wont be going back anytime soon!

Crab cakes and marinaded crab fingers are wonderful for an appetizer. For a meal Tournedos of Beef, steak with shrimp & crab meat, cant be beat. Also crabmeat au gratin and fish en papillote (fish in a bag) are delish. There arent many sides but the house salad is really good also. Have loved the original in Destin for years & this is a great spot in Baton Rouge for a good meal. Get there Early!!

Phenomenal both times we have been there. It is wonderful dining experience. The food was wonderful from the bread to the blueberry bread pudding. Gumbo and crab soup were great. My husband had the favorite fish in parchment paper and I had a special with Black drum topped with lobster. Service was great too. It makes a wonderful date night destination!

The people made our stay fantastic! We were in Baton Rouge for a convention. Even though the hotel was filled with lots of other convention-goers, we received excellent service with a smile! They stowed our luggage for us until mid-afternoon when our convention was over. The valet service was also fast and also kept the car until we returned in..

Driving up this place does not look like much, but it blew our minds. We had a group of seven and we all loved this place. I had the BBQ shrimp for an appetizer and it was awesome. Followed that up with the shrimp and corn chowder; another big yum! For my entree I had the rib eye topped with a creamy shrimp sauce. The flavors were amazing!

Went down to Louisiana for business and was looking for some delicious food this place didnt disappoint. Get there early as the parking lot and restaurant fills up fast. I had never had gumbo before and got it from here it was truly delicious I would recommend it to any of our friends and family anytime youre visiting the area.

Fine dining in a comfortable atmosphere. Husband and I both ordered specials. The seared tuna in citrus beurre blanc is in my top favorite meals, ever. We dined early so didnt have a problem with the wait. So glad our friends recommended this place for our short visit.

I had the pleasure of eating at Lagniappe with one of my co-workers. I had the fried shrimp and fries and it was great. I also had the salad and it had great flavor. This restaurant offers great ambiance and I would definitely come back again!

Exceptional seafood. We had the baked oysters in a shell with lump crab (melt in your mouth superb) and the shrimp and andouille sausage fettucine with alfredo sauce (excellent). Remarkable service and a romantic getaway.

I have never had a bad meal here. The staff is among one of the friendliest of any restaurant in Baton Rouge and you cant go wrong anywhere on the menu. Recommendations include the Louisianne, Tournedos, & Au Gratin.

Excellent seafood dishes. The crevettes are especially worth trying. The cauliflower crab soup special is a must if it is on the menu. Arrive early because the place is always crowded and reservations are not taken.

Went there with some friends while in Baton Rouge and everything was excellent. Definitely not a place to go if youre pinching pennies or watching calories, but from what I tasted I doubt you could go wrong.

I had the catfish Acadiana. It was flavorful. The bread was standard but good and the greens were ok. The atmosphere was laid back and relaxed. They had nice music, friendly wait staff, and good food.

Food was spectacular. Service was perfect. We had a large party with a toddler and a learning disabled adult and they handled our every need. One of the best places in BR to eat!

I was so excited to eat at my first Ruths Chris, but we were sadly disappointed. The food and steaks were good, but way overpriced for what you actually get. Our waiter was good
