Well, they are not near by like the one in N.O. at all!! First time ordering from them and to say I work right by them, had the fish, shrimp with fries plate and was Highly Disappointed in the talent in the cooking! Fish was big but thin like they took a fat one and cut in half long way, very under seasoned, none of the Cajun flavor you expect! Fries was not hot and salted, the shrimp was seasoned nice although. The price for that was way over what it should be considering the lack of professional cooking! I think Ill pass on them next time and spend my money elsewhere. Maybe in the future Ill try again, but will check before I leave, food cost too much to not have care in achieving customer satisfaction within limits. I know you pay for certain items, but this was a Big waste of money!! $23, with more fries and bread than actual seafood!

If you want fried everything for a bit more than normal - go here. I think a full size shrimp po-boy is like nine bucks. Decent po-boy but nothing to write home about - not like a New Orleans po-boy or even like Georges shrimp po-boy - just a few yards away. They were all busy/crowded because of their prestige from New Orleans and Covington but nothing special. Loud place, and college kids waiting on you with no customer service at all. This is not to say the food was cold or not tasty - just do not expet anything special! Even the beers are small and overpriced (and no selection at all). Of course - they give you about 2 liters of coke! Kind of disproportional to the food portions.

THIS WAS THE WORST!!!! I have eaten at Acme in Covington for years and always satisfied. This is the 3rd time I have been to the Baton Rouge location and it is definitely my LAST. Co-worker and I ordered seafood salads to fo. First, it took forever to get them ready, even tho we called ahead. The girl that waited on us had all the personality of a snail. She was one step away from downright rude. Then when we got the salad, the plate was so light you could barely feel it, the grilled shrimp were ice cold and there was maybe one crab pay and very little crab meat and there was nothing limp about it.

We have made four trips over the past few months and each time we found at least one item that was unpalatable. On two occasions the fried oysters had been precooked and were cold when served. Todays oysters were overdone and too salty to eat. Raw oysters are good but I would prefer to mix my own dip and found the served dip bland. Beer was very cold but mixed drinks were weak. Service was excellent on all occasions. All in all a mediocre restaurant with an badly overpriced menu. It is not worth the trip.

the kitchen her offers a wide and varied selection of south louisiana cuisine. our party of 4 adults enjoyed several starters, all done well, seafood main dishes and one of us even had a grilled filet of beef cooked exactly as requested. everything was tasty. service was a bit slow, though the pace is large and was quite full. the wine by the glass selection was a bit limited. suggest reservations be made for a weekend dining plan.

This is an excellent restaurant. It is beautiful, and the buzz is enticing! The food was superb! Try the lobster dumplings! My only disappointment was that the service, though very friendly, was not as attentive as I expected. The restaurant was very, very busy. However, the server, though well-intended and friendly, didnt check back as often as we expected and seemed rushed when he did stop by.

Great service but food is average to say its an authentic Louisiana seafood restaurant and not a national chain. Oysters were very gritty, bread was hard, and the drinks were weak. We got the seafood platter for two. While it was more than enough, the breading on the shrimp and fish had a salty plain taste and the oysters were overfried. The food wasnt worth the price. Go to Chimes or Parrains.

His was my first and last time. Service was very slow and the food is very over priced. I had the Peace Marker Poboy the "#4 best sandwich" it was a joke, its just a shrimp and oyster Poboy with Tabasco brand mayo from the store. I have lived in Baton Rouge all my life and very came here before now. Im glad that my life has been without this place and it will never be apart of it again.

We stopped at ACME on our way home from Houston, TX. The food was DELICIOUS. It was fresh and seasoned to perfection. The service was EXCELLENT. The waitress was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. You will not be disappointed. Headed home to Atlanta on a full stomach and I am completely satisfied. I give ACME two thumbs up.

This was my first time visiting acme and I believe it will be my last the food was ok not warm at all. It taste as if it had been heated up and not freshly cooked the waiter who served us placed my plate across the table away from where I was seated and walked away I felt as though that was extremely rude they were fast to bring the food out but overall I was not pleased

Nam Nam Nam Nam AMAZING Oysters, I cant get enough, I ran upon this place when I was walking down the street with a flat tire a mile back, starving, it is one of the best in Nola, I would probably get the old house just a few blocks down if I could just so I could go eat the things everyday. Really great food, nice atmosphere, very reasonably priced.

We had heard about this place through friends and stopped by to visit. My gracious! The burgers were great, the poboys, the fries, the salads, the drinks, the atmosphere, and the staff! We go there about once a month. The salads are served very uniquely- I like the chef salad myself. It can be busy and have slow service during..

What makes the stay at a hotel extra special for me is the staff. Hotel Indigo is very well located and the rooms were impeccably clean and comfortable but what I will remember most is the friendly staff. We were always greeted at the reception with a warm welcome and sincere smile! And upon entering or exiting the hotel the.

The service was ok, waitress was friendly. The food was atrocious... Absolutely disgusting. The oysters were covered in a cheap butter and parmesan. The oyster soup, I took one bite of and couldnt eat. The etouffee was ok but definitely the worst of all Ive tried in baton rouge. overpriced as well. Will not be back.

Usually i havr a good experience here. The kast time my experience was questionable but i will refrain from details and chalk it up to being a busy day. Crab claws are my favorite. There is a guy who works the bar (btown or blonde hair cant remember) who is soooo very nice and attentive.

Service was good, Oysters were the best not a fan of the gumbo and red beans could have been better but the prices for what we received were on point. The Jambalaya was good and so was the smoked sausage. You have to try their margaritas though Patron preferably... youre welcome.
