I was told by the restaurant when I called for reservations that Eliza did not take reservations. Showed up at 6:15 on a Saturday evening and there was a vacant table for four and I asked the host if our group of four could have it. He informed me the table was reserved. I explained my experience by phone and he "qualified" things by saying they only take reservations for five or more people and this table was for a party of twelve. It went downhill after that. Turns out the reserved table(s) were for twelve people who didnt show up. Thus, we waited 45 minutes for a table for four when we should have had one immediately upon arrival. Food was OK. Service was quite good. But, dont tell me one thing and then I find out its not true. Dont know if Ill go back or not.

Went on Black Friday. Was still full from thanksgiving, so my wife and I ordered the crab and corn bisque and the Eliza House Salad. Fantastic. I highly recommend both items. The service was impeccable and our waiter kept us entertained with his wit and humor. We normally skip desert, but could not resist the banana pudding and strawberries and cream. To die for. Superb meal, great atmosphere, and excellent service made for a great evening. Have to return to try the crab cakes. Fine dining at its best, I highly recommend Eliza as a great place to dine.

We have been wanting to try this place since it opened, and our experience was excellent! Its a small place, so you may have to wait, but its worth the wait, and the bar was huge. We had Buffalo Oysters - delish. We got the bottled wine happy hour special, and it was a yummy new Napa cabernet. Everyones meal was perfect - my fish was cooked perfectly. Highly recommend!

A really nice low key creole bistro with a wide selection from small plates to burgers & po-boys to elegant main dishes. Great bar service: cocktails to local craft brews to very well balanced wine list. Cozy. Friendly. AND a noise level low enough to enjoy an intimate conversation even when crowded. Among our very favotites!

Great food, I had the Crab Cakes meal with a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and they were absolutely delicious; and I had plenty to bring home! The service was delightful and the atmosphere was pleasant, definitely returning!

Took a couple of my employees there for annual reviews. Excellent food. Fresh fish and salads were worth the price. Bar looks inviting so Id like to go back for a beer. Solid 20ish beer menu if you like crafts.

Very contemporary place to eat some of Louisianas favorite dishes. Staff is professional and food is great! I will say that it is small and there may be wait times at peak hours... other than that I do recommend!
