Went on a business trip to Franklin so I did some research on good restaurants in the area. Decided to try the Brick Yard on a Wednesday night about 5:30pm. We were the only diners in the establishment but there were a couple folks at the bar. The interior is very nice with great old floors and exposed brick walls. They served excellent bread before the meal - we ordered the Rattlesnake Pasta and the Lasagna and both were FABULOUS. Huge portion on the Rattlesnake Pasta and the sauce in the Lasagna tasted homemade. Fast service and excellent food. A little on the pricey side for what my family usually does, but worth it. Would recommend to anyone looking for great food. P.S. Be forewarned if you are sensitive to smoke. .smoking is allowed in restaurants in Kentucky. we sat as far away from the bar as possible and even with only 5 or so people at the bar, we smelled smoke the entire time. This was the only negative.

I have found my new favorite restaurant. It has a wonderful atmosphere, very family oriented or as in our case, romantic dinner for two. The menu had a broad selection of items ranging from mussels and calamari for appetizers to steak, lasagna or pot roast or even pizza for dinner, something for everyone. The produce used was very fresh and delicious, by far the best house salad I have ever tasted. Overall, this was an exceptional restaurant, truly a rare find in a small town like Franklin. We will definitely be back!

Passing through Franklin, KY while travelling, I decided to try this local Italian restaurant. Its a great atmosphere "on the square" in the old hardware store. The interior has exposed brick wall and the original hardwood floor. I had the very tasty Brickyard pizza, a stone cooked pizza with prosciutto, mushrooms, and gorgonzola. My wife had the Chicken Parmesan, which was wonderful. The kids had cheese pizza and spaghetti from the kids menu. Great food, great atmosphere - definitely worth the trip into town.

The Brickyard Cafe is Franklins best Restaurant. Its my personal favorite overall. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing. The servers are great. A person would to look hard to find a flaw in The Brickyard. As a local, I highly recommend The Brickyard to anyone. For a meal, I recommend ordering The Lemon Pepper Shrimp, which is listed as an appetizer, and ordering a side of fries. Its great.

Quaint and comfortable environment in a beautiful and historical building located just off of the square in Franklin, Kentucky. The Brickyard Cafe has a nice variety on their menu including fantastic steaks and daily specials. They have a very attentive and friendly staff and the service is fantastic. Always enjoyable.

Very nice find. Charming resteraunt on the square in a small town. Great food , good service, wait staff went outa there way to devise a buster seat for our 4 year old. Had diner at a table across from the mayor of the town... Would recomend at eat there again next time..

The food was good but not to die for. The servers were totally inexperienced. We waited 45+ min to get our food and then had to ask for our check after our server wouldnt pay us any attention. My advise dont hire school kids.

Sat at the bar for 15 minute waiting on the completely dysfunctional azzhole bartenders to ask me what i needed. Apparently waiving at them and trying to make eye contact 5 feet away didnt work. I finally left...

First time here, came with friends. The food is excellent. Restaurant is very clean & nice atmosphere. Staff friendly. Came during lunch, had the shrimp mac & cheese. From Lebanon, TN, will make this drive again.

Very neat atmosphere! Drinks from the bar were poured perfect. Had salmon for dinner, very salty. But food as a whole, including appetizers, was very good. We will go back, just wont get the salmon.

Clean. Good food. Staff is friendly but we did have to wait to be seated. Also, upon returning to the table to check on us there was a strong cigarette smell. Overall great place.
