The Bee Hive is an adorable little cafe in a small town that doesnt have much else going for it. This homey coffee shop feels like the one of the few pieces of local flair that sets Danville apart from literally every other small town in the midwest. The food is tasty, the coffee is strong (with a free refill too!), and the staff is friendly. The night that I went was a little slow on the service, but that might have been because an entire extended family (cousins, grandparents, about 15 in total) came in and ordered right in front of me. I would recommend the Bee Hive to anyone who is passing through Danville and has a little time to burn.

This place is truly special. They offer a wide variety of freshly prepared food and beverages including soups, sandwiches, casseroles, coffees, teas, specialty sodas (Chai Cola is unique and refreshing), and many delicious desserts. Service is excellent. Food is prepared to order then delivered to your table. Decor is mellow and relaxing. One wall of the store is a mini organic grocery. If youve not visited, you should do so. I look forward to many future visits.

I LOVE the food, especially the honey shortbread cookies. They have great coffee options as well. The prices are a little high, but youre getting quality handmade food. The atmosphere of the restaurant is awesome. The employees are super friendly and efficient as well!!

Really quality ingredients and preparation. The Little Italy sandwich was scrumptious. The strawberry smoothie was tasty. The vegetable beef soup was just right. The staff are also very friendly.
