1 star, great food but horrible and SLOW service. This is the 3rd time we ate at Jailhouse in the past 6 months. This is the 3rd time weve had horrible and SLOW service. 1st time we sat in the jail cells. 4 adults in one, 4 kids in the other. It took 45 mins to get the kids food. After an hour it turned out the adults order was lost and never prepared! 2nd experience, the next day. We went back because we were craving a Hawaiian pizza, again an HOUR to get our food. Tonight, we arrived at 5:20pm 2 tables were occupied in the dinning room. Took 5 mins to be sat. Ordered 2 calzones and 2 kids meals with an appitizer. The appitizer took 35 mins. 2 tables that were sat after us then received their food before us. Finally after over 50 mins we received our dinner. The server gave us excuses when we asked about our food after 30 mins. So if you plan on eating there be prepared to WAIT a LONG TIME!!

First time eating here. Told 30mins for a wait and have waited over 2 hours. Tables are empty and workers standing around. Kitchen has food and dishes all over the floor looks really dirty and nasty. Was told about this place from a friend and not impressed at all. Need to have Chief Ramsey come and save this historical buiding and put someone who cares in it....... Waited at the table until 10pm on our food been here since 6:30.. They take the name jailhouse to the extreme, waited forever for our food and it never came. We walked out and went to mc Donalds because we was beyond hungry. Was so excited to finally try this place but I will never ever come back. Need some sort of a manager running this. Place besides some high school kids running around.. Sucks dont ever go there unless u want to wait over six hours to finally get some food....

I found this restaurant on Google Places and convinced my mom to take my sister and me even though it was ~25 minutes out of the way to where we were headed. We were under the impression that wed be seated in a jail cell, but that wasnt the case. They had tables and booths inside the cells, but no one seated in them, so Im not really sure what the deal is there! Anyway, we were still able to tour the old jail on our own while we waited for our food to come. You even get to see where prisoners used to be hanged--pretty morbid. The food was good; not the best, but it was a fun experience and I would recommend this place to anyone. The directions were a little confusing though because there werent many street signs in the area.

We went on Tuesday night not crowded easily seated booths lack cushion old and need of updating. The pizza was OK we had a three topping 14inch pizza just two of us. Crust was good the ingredients were from a can no fresh mushrooms which was a reak turn off. The inmate salad consists mostly of lettuce and cheese a few onions and small diced tomatoes so not much to it. I would consider this a family novelty restaurant not a serious contender for great pizza mainly due to the canned ingredients. Family friendly needs some updating.

Pizza was overpriced and reminded me of a frozen Supermarket Pizza staff was full of lazy teenagers offering absolutely no history on the cool building even to the point they are somewhat rude this restaurant also had the lowest health department rating out of the any restaurant Ive been to in kentucky granted i have only been here for a few months. restroom was dirty and kitchen looked filthy as well should have been a great experience we were one of only three tables in the restaurant at the time early on a Friday

First of all I have to say the food is pretty good, but im not a big fan of waiting 1-1/2 hrs for 2 pizzas. We were not the only ones tired of waiting we saw 3 other tables leave before they even got drinks. The people behind us said they had been there for 15 minutes and no one even spoke to them. ATTN OWNER: HIRE MORE PEOPLE! We didnt pay for our pizza ($40) also three other tables left, by my calculation you lost out on $160-$200 worth of buisness in 1-1/2 hours. How much would one more employee cost you?

Waited over a hour and a waiter or waitress never even took our drink order. They would just walk by abd ignore us. So just based on that alone i will never go back. It is in a perfect location but with service that bad it wont be around long. The tall blonde hostess has zero people skills and is snotty. We ended up at little daves Roadhouse and it was great. Should have came there first.

Pizza nothing special, Sweet tea was not...over priced, long wait to get food, 15 minutes to sit, they were busy but 53 minutes for three 10 pizzas? For $8.99 -14.99 pizzas and $2.25 for tea like water ( no sweetener on table), we will go elsewhere. Cool atmosphere and pleasant staff. Recommend to walk through old jail but eat at your own risk $$$ of funds!

My kids and I went on a Saturday and the history was interesting took about 30mins if that to go through. We waited about 20 min before someone took our name and another 30 min to get our pizza. Pizza was good not great, service was slow, the waitresses not that friendly. Something to do for the first time but probably wont return.

Housed in a historic jail with great views of the river this pizza and Italian restaurant is worth the detour. The pizzas are good and with many other food offerings you dont have to be limited to choosing from one of their many special pizzas. Check out the old jail cell, sion the outdoor balcony and watch the river roll by.

I had a Carnivore Pizza, Death Row Wings, and Prisoner Bread and it was great. The Death Row wings taste like they are made with ghost pepper sauce and the pizza is very tasty. The decor is awesome as the restaurant is in a building that served as a jailhouse. This is a very interesting place and a definitely recommend it.

Waited more then 25-30 minutes to be seated... no big deal at all!! A general walks in and hugs a waitress. She then tells the host that he is priority and got seated right away. He was by himself, he said so himself when asked. So unfortunately we left. It was great food and service the last time we visited.

Our group waited 20 minutes to not even be greeted on March 8! There were others too that experienced this. There seemed to be no management avaliable and there were many open tables. No greeter or host, no one cared we were there. Wont come back to try again as this was our first time coming.

Loved the old jail setting down by river , but I will not go back took my family there and waited 30 minutes, not a big deal when we got seated we sat almost another 30 minutes never had a server even come to our table. They need management bad, they sucked, could be a great place ,,, but not
