For the most part my experiences at Meijer have been positive. However, I have went to the meat, seafood department, and watched 2 employees talk and joke behind the double doors. I waited in excess of 5 minutes. Actually shopped and the returned to the area to see others still waiting. Fi.nally got disgusted, and shoved my cart full of items in front of the double doors. Walked out and went to Kroger. Told the greeter at the door what the problem was. I have since went back, but will NOT HESITATE to walk out again under simar circumstances. I have been shopping at Aldi, and IGA stores more since this has happened. Meijers needs to pay their employees more and treat them right to get employees to stay. I have also noticed that the Good people no who work there dont stay long, always find another job in retail that pays more. I worked @ Kroger years ago, when it was a good place to work. Now I work at the Corvette plant in Bowling Green Kentucky, making a 6 figure salary. If these retailers want to keep good people, and keep them, they need to treat them right, and put there $$$ where there mouth is. The good employees always leave for a better paying job. Those are my opinions!!!!! Take it for what its worth.

I wanted to praise a staff member of the Bowling Green, KY. location. Im guilty of waiting months to do so and I feel badly. When something bad happens, emails and reviews go out immediately, but the good news just gets forgotten. So I hope she works in this location still to hear the great news. But cashier Justice T. was an amazing help to me and my wife. A shining star of customer service. She helped us get signed up for the rewards app, answered questions and motivated us to follow through with using the app. Normally were too busy to take time to sign up for another app or email list, but Justice helped us realize just how simple and fast it was as well as incredibly useful! She was very sincere and I think that is something important when a customer may already have 20 other cards or services which are similar. Being asked to add another one can sometimes be met with a feeling of annoyance; she navigated right past that barrier! Its difficult to find kind, helpful and sincere staff. If you still have her, make sure to keep her!

I generally dislike this store. Though the prices are reasonable and they do have some "unique" products, the store employees are worthless especially at the deli counter, and check out is a disaster. If you have more than 12 items and want to use self-checkout, you are forced to use a system that "slings" your groceries down a conveyor where you have to then bag them versus being able to scan and bag immediately. Kroger is not great either, and though it is nice to have another local option, this Meijer could use extensive employee training as the employees here are not helpful and could literally care less. If you shop at Publix for example, you will see such a huge difference in employee quality and morale.

Meijer is the BEST!! If there is one within a 10 mile radius of your closest Walmart it is definitely worth the drive, especially if you are getting groceries. Most of the produce is sourced from the immediate local area which means your food is not sitting in the back of a truck for cross country drives (like Walmart). The best part has to be the Meijer brand products, they are high quality name brand products bought in bulk and slapped with a Meijer logo for immensely cheaper! That means all your paying for is the quality products and not the label on the packaging! Gas stations are also great if your local Meijer has one. All and all, if you can shop here for anything, get great food and small consumer items.

Very Good Store and very competitive. We wish to have store like this here in Florida. But I dont think somebody will realize tpmpve at least one of them close to Tampa or Orlando.. Publix and WinnDixie are horrible and Walmart lowers prices just a penney lower than Publix. The level of big stores in Florida is bad example. State with most primitive legislation is a way off american standards. Do you also pay a $4 or more for a gallon a milk? Common Nino Salvagio stores, Winc and Joes, Randazzos, Kroger, just name a few in MI .... average Floridian will fall on knees to see it.

Not a 5 star grocery store but what grocery store is? Trader Joes maybe? Anyway, I shop 100% at Meijer, even though Morgantown Rd Walmart is literally a 5 minute drive away. The store is clean, the employees seem to be working (Ive seen a few employees throwing baseball in the sports section) but other than a few instances (playing on phones mostly), the staff here are more willing to help and provide a better shopping experience (looking at you Walmart and Kroger).

I like the atmosphere in Meijer. They had quite a selection of fresh meats which was impressive. The staff I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The only negative thing that happened was that someone called the police rather than approaching my friend and I just to see if it was legal to carry the knife I had on me and the training sword my friend carries around. Understandable, but silly. (Its completely legal, by the way)

Great prices! Love there sales! 3 stars because of service in the seafood department. I stood there waiting and the worker looked at me and never came up to see what I needed. I bought a half ribeye and had it sliced. When I opened it up, I found my steaks had been butchered up(thick on one end tapering of to almost paper thin on the end. Cashiers are very friendly!

I love Meijers in Bowling Green, KY. The employees hospitality is incredible. Each and every employee that have spoke with has made me feel welcomed. The prices are truly competitive. They have a great variety in products; so many choices. Meijers is my choice to shop over any of the leading competitors. I will say they are lacking in the variety of disc golf supplies.

I have only shopped here once, and the prices seemed reasonable. However, I went to place an order at the deli, and their phone number wasnt working. Had to call some 800 number I found online and have them direct me to the store. I am now attempting to call and confirm my order one week later, and the phone number just keeps ringing. Poor customer service so far.

Usually like this store 5 stars. Lots of low sodium or sodium free items, 1 inn household is on a sodium restricted diet. Last night so many items were gone, and no stock ppl in sight. The liquid plumber is out of date, aka expired. Produce is starting to slide with lots of rotten and damaged fruit on the shelves.

Meijer has quite probably the best produce in Bowling Green. They have a good seafood selection and a good fresh cut beef selection however they are a little higher than other stores but theyre pretty much in line with Kroger so if you shop at Krogers then you like Meijer except Meijer has more stuff in Krogers.
