This is one of my wife and Is favorite restaurants in Bowling Green. Burger night is one of our nights to visit. The food is always good and the servers always friendly. My wife and I even visited the 440 section of the restaurant for our first anniversary last year. As always, it was delicious. My wife especially liked the jalapeño cheese grits. The only complaint I have ever had was that one night we were having dinner with one of our friends. She is unfortunately extreme allergic to tomatoes and asked the server if the cooks in the back could be sure to leave the tomato off her burger. When her food was delivered I noticed immediately that the tomato was still on the burger. We brought this to the attention to our server. Management came by to make sure everything was fine. We were assured that the kitchen staff was informed of their mistake and strongly encouraged to not do it again. Other than making sure my friend was not sick, they made no other attempt to rectify the mistake other to ensure us it wouldnt happen again. Which is fine, but I feel at the very least my friends burger should have been comped or discounted for the potentially dangerous mistake, but no such actions were taken. Still, aside from that one incident out of the many times we have been, this is one of the best restaurants in Bowling Green and it is one of my first recommendations to people visiting from out of town looking for a locally owned restaurant.

Last evening, my wife Kathy and I arrived at 440 Main for our annual Ameriprise Financial Christmas dinner. Kathy suffers from MS. l pushed her wheel chair to the back of the main dining room only to find out that this years dinner was located on the second floor. Not good when you are confined to a wheel chair. I went upstairs to inform our Host that we could not stay and partake in the festivities. As we were on our way out, Micki, the Manager, apologized for the inconvenience and insisted we stay and enjoy dinner, on Him. This was totally unexpected, as it was not his fault. We stayed, dined and enjoyed being pampered by our waiter, Trevor. Diner and service was fantastic. The Spirit of Christmas is still alive and well at 440 Main. Thank you Micki.....for making our evening an enjoyable and exceptional dining experience. Gob bless you and your staff.

Ate outside on a sunny day and enjoyed the setting as well as the weather, however when our food arrived the portions were extremely small. I ordered the fried oysters which dont have to be right out of the ocean to be good, and when my plate arrived I saw FIVE of the tiniest oysters I have ever seen for my $15 Dollars. Dont get me wrong I didnt expect PCB prices or quality, where you can get a dozen for 5 bucks (and they well be fresh out of the ocean).. but i have literally seen 1 oyster in PCB that was bigger than all 5 of these oysters combined. When I brought my feelings to the attention of the managment (Brian) their response was.. "sorry thats the best we can do for you". I am a local, and I used to like this place. But now its just an overpriced bar, with food to match.

I drove a client into bowling green to take delivery of his new Corvette and the hotel we stayed at recommended 440 Main. The atmosphere was great. I think our server may have been on the newer side, but he did a good job anyway. The food was amazing. I had the 440 signature steak, it was cooked perfectly to how I wanted it with a great taste. It was served over mashed potatoes that were great as well. The appetizers we all shared were perfect (mussels and seared ahi tuna). The cheese cake and bananas foster were to amazing as well. The bourbon flights they have were a very nice addition to the meal. The live bands they had playing there on the bar side of the restaurant sounded great too. 10/10. Will visit again if Im passing through.

While visiting Bowling Green, I stopped to try the taco special, but discovered it is only"special" if you do not have a food allergy. When asking for the taco to be prepared without any extras (just meat & cheese), they refused. My waiter even checked with management. The manager "didnt want to open that box" which makes it clear that I will not open my wallet in this establishment again. If you are looking for a restaurant that caters better to your needs, even McDonalds would do. Bitterly disappointed and only regret the rating doesnt offer negative numerical ratings, because this restaurant has earned that poor of a rating.

It is overpriced for the food, but the restaurant is nice and it seems to be one of the nicer restaurants here. The restaurant is combined with a bar so sometimes the noise overflows into the restaurant. Hours of operation are only at night, which is not good. I am used to very fine dining and this is NOT that, but it is for Bowling Green restaurants in the area.

Took my girlfriend here last week while she was visiting. Restaurant was pretty cold even though we were sitting directly beside a vent for heat. Food overall was good but for the price I probably would go somewhere else for the same or better quality. Oysters were the highlight while the duck dish felt a bit disjointed.

While visiting bowling green we stopped in to Mickis its part of the 440. Lunch was very good, I was impressed with the atmosphere (excluding the Christmas deco in June). I had the burger very good, the others were very impressed with their food as well. I dont think I will make it back for a while but will try.

Another pleasant surprise in BG, KY. The food was amazing! the portions were large and the price tag wasnt that bad either. The staff was great and was able to navigate this newcomer to delicious foodery. Try the cheese and fruit platter. The pecans on the cheese is wondermous.

The service was excellent. Our server was very attentive, she went out of her way to make sure our appetizers and drinks were on point. Entrees were delicious and presented in an excellent manner. Overall, a great place for a date night with upscale surroundings and food.

Best meal I have had in a while. Good menu, great beer and wine selection. Tuna appetizer was good. I had the red snapper that was an off menu special. It was cooked perfectly and the jalapeno grits were awesome. Will definitely keep this place in mind if I come back.

Excellent service and they made us feel special by helping us celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the recommendation to eat at 440 Main didnt disappoint. If visiting in the area by the mammoth caves worth the drive to eat at this restaurant.

One of the best Steaks in town. You can still order the Bourbon St. Filet even though its not on the menu!! Almost everything on the menu is delicious - especially BBQ Shrimp, Cajun Spring Rolls, Champaign Chicken, creme spinach, and the Poboys!

I have never been more in awe of service like this and a great atmosphere. Above and beyond, it was absolutely perfect. I felt like I was at a spa. Plus, I received a nice surprise from our wait staff to help me cap off a beautiful evening.
