If I lived in the area Id probably be here a lot. Its really cute, and the menu is creative and reasonably priced. First time through I had a gyro, which while light on the sauce was really fresh and moist and well seasoned. Came with freshly homemade chips and cheese sauce for same. Second time through had their salmon cakes with beans and peppers on the side. Salmon cakes were well blended with a good amount of capers, vegetables tasted fresh and werent overcooked. The only thing Id complain about a little was the service, which is a bit slow and sometimes cold, but not egregious.

I often have business lunches at The Radish and have never been disappointed. The service is top notch and the food is great. From ownership to staff, this place is a well run restaurant, one which I will continue to frequent. Note that they are sometimes very busy. On weekends and holidays, I recommend making a reservation. Also of note, is that The Radish was named the Business of the Year in Grimes, Iowa, so they are well respected in their community.

we tried the Radish for lunch yesterday. we are new to Grimes and had never been there. my philly cheesesteak sammy had NO GREEN PEPPERS! inexcusable, especially this time of year. the breaded tenderloin was big and boring. the servers were good but the food order took forever. then insult to injury, the trees out back dropped some kind of weird crap all over the front of my truck and had to go directly to the car wash. there should be a warning sign

Dined at Radish for the first time today. We opted for the brunch and it was killer.....scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, french toast, pancakes, corned beef hash, fried chicken, prime rib casserole, au gratin and hash browned potatoes, bread pudding, cinnamon rolls and more. Needless to say, we didnt leave hungry and everything was fantastic. Service was prompt and friendly. Well be back.

This is one of the best, a little gem of a restaurant in central Iowa. Everytime we have been there, we have been greeted by the owner himself, sweet guy. The staff is always amazing, the food is great. A bit pricey but the staff and atmosphere, and quality of the meal you get justify that price completely. Definitely worth checking out!

Great food & service! The owner is always there waiting to greet guests and makes sure everyone is happy. Call for a reservation if you want to eat on Friday and Saturday night. It fills up quick. Also call to ask for the special. I would recommend asking to have it reserved for you if its prime rib or another popular didnt!

I had family birthday gathering on a Saturday night, so disappointed. Prime Rib tasty but too tough to cut with steak knife, onion rings were so uncooked and weighted down with grease. Disappointing. I will go back one more time to be fair, their sandwiches are great

The people and staff are as friendly as they come. The portions are large, quite generous. The food is not home cooked, its more of a late night dinner variety where the potatoes are probably from flakes, etc. The decor could stand a revenovation.

You cant find better food for a better price anywhere else near Des Moines. Service is always stellar. Try the calamari and the chocolate mousse is to die for! My only complaint is that they need to expand the restaurant and parking lot! :)

Salmon cakes were grilled to perfection. Rueben and grimey chips were excellent for 9.99 special. Staff was cheerful and pleasant. Well decorated for holidays and music was great. Defiantly coming back!

The best Top Sirloin Ive ever had! The Sat. Night Prime Rib dinner- the Prime Rib was very bland, but the best Au jus ever. Restroom was nice and very clean. My waitress was excellent.
