We used to love the Rooster, but it appears they fired their best bartender for being sick on new years eve and being in the hospital! That isnt legal!! Susanna was the friendliest sweetest nicest person working there. She always greeted us by name, asked about our families, showed real professionalism and kindness. The rest of your staff is uninterested in bonding with customers, that is what I have observed anyway. Susanna is a single mom with 3 kids. She lived for her job to support them and not to blow work off and party. If this is how you treat your BEST EMPLOYEE I dont want to be a customer anymore. You owe her an apology.

They have this really funny big cardboard person in the front of it cant miss it. Has a real old school feel to it like rock and roll but very famly feel into it as well has a bar and eat area by the bar and there a game room where you can eat pool and very nice arcard game of pacman and outher game on the console and a claw grabbing machine. You can eat out side which is veey nice in the summer and a a while other side of it just to dine as well great staff awalys cheerful which you dont see often and good breakfest had the french toast and it was a amazing

The Waitress that is notoriously rude to her customers was condecending to a UNITED STATES MARINE while on leave and having a good time with his buddies. Seriously? Who makes fun of a group of guys for being " too polite"? Get a life Lady & know that the only reason you have the ability to work and have freedom of speech is because of someone like this guy "who was too polite" defending your country. YOU NEED FIRED!!

Occasionally stop by here with the guys for a beer after golf (theres some sort of discount if you bring in your card after your round - god knows Im terrible at the game so thank god they dont care about my score). Have been planning to stop by for wing night on Wednesdays but havent had the chance yet. Looking forward to watching a few gopher football games there this fall (row the damn boat).

Back in 1999 when I moved to Long Lake. Im in a wheelchair. One afternoon both people in chairs and their helpers decided to go ck this place out. They had no ramps,so it wasnt easy but all got in. Had a great time. To my surprise later, they remodeled. Put in access ramp to dining area. And restrooms totally assiablle. Moved 2010 to Maple Plain. I dont get their as much id like.

The Hot Pastrami, Rooster Stack, and Big Bob Belly Buster have had me returning for years. Enjoyable staff and fairly cheap beer. What more could you ask for really? Edit: They changed their menu, updated the decor and STILL have the best food in town. It isnt fancy but if you know whats good for you youll try it (and maybe become a lifer)!

Went with my wife and son after a parade. The food (as always) is good. However, the service never seems like they want to be there. Forgot our sons meal and didnt seem particularly concerned when I explained the situation. I dont think they care too much about people like us. The local/regular customers will keep them busy.

Red Rooster is a good experience. The service was slow, but the food was outstanding! The service was good, just a little on the slow side. There is entertainment, as they have a pool table and arcade games for kids. Overall, this was a good experience!

The chicken wild rice soup is a strong contender vs Duluths Grandmas saloon. Its a cozy little place with decent parking. Their signature burger is heavy, and will stick with you for a better part of a day and a half, but youll be happy about it.

Its reasonably priced bar food but its the best reasonably priced bar food around. Great weeknight specials and dont skip their breakfast. Its the best greasy spoon breakfast in all of Excelsior, Wayzata, and Orono.

OMG I tried to order a tall drink and for what ever reason they would not bring me it. So I complained. I have never been told that I cant get this drink at a restaurant. This is terrible service. Dont recommend.

Excellent service, cold beer and good food. The menu has lots of great options. I had the fish tacos - nice big pieces of fish, fresh slaw. Really tasty. Will definitely go there again!

I have been going to the Red Rooster for 30+ years (since I was a little kid). Food is always great, but they are always under-staffed. The waitresses here work their butts off.
