Weve been there twice so far and have immensely enjoyed it. If you are looking for some fine dining ambiance, go elsewhere. However, if you crave the quirky, then this is the place for you. This restaurant resides in a one time truck stop that is in the process of being remodeled. The gas pumps are currently roped off, the convenience store is gutted (look like they are in the process of rebuilding), the truck wash in back looks in service, and the classic truck stop restaurant is open. Our first trip, we walked in and an Asian guy said the buffet is over there, help yourselves. He was eating and we couldnt figure out if he was a customer or an employee. The one employee running around didnt speak any English, but that just added to the adventure. Turns out the guy who told us to help ourselves was from India, based in California, and stopped here to eat anytime he drove through. The buffet was small with about 8 dishes, but really good and cost $10. There were some handwritten signs naming the various dishes, but my favorite was the "Lame Curry". It was anything but lame. I suspect someone misspelled lamb. But, I told you it was quirky, right? We did meet the owner, who spoke English and told him we would send some business his way. Tonight, we took our neighbors. The buffet goes only till 4 p.m., so we ordered from the menu. Try the samosas for an appetizer. Delicous. I dont know what my wife or neighbors ordered, but it was good. I had the lamb curry. I didnt like it as much as when I had it on the buffet. The taste was excellent but it seemed to be a tad hotter than the milder buffet version. I love the fact that you are walking into a 70s/80s looking diner with a long bar, old booths and tables but getting amazing ethnic food on the old truck stop plates. There can be a bit of a language barrier sometimes, but well worth a short road trip to have Indian food at a truck stop.

First off, the food at this place is good. If all youre interested in is the taste of the food, its a decent place to stop. However, if service and cleanliness is important to you, skip it. Ive been there twice, and both times it took a long time for the waitress to even take our order. The last time I was there it was quite busy and the waitress was struggling, but the owner/manager just stood and watched while we waited 15 minutes to get our order taken. Additionally, we had questions about the cleanliness. The table we were at had been wiped down, but both the salt and pepper shakers were covered in grime. There was also old rice in the silver wear bins for the buffet And lastly, the owner coughed into his hand and did not wash his hands before handling a basket of naan. Overall, I would certainly NOT suggest eating here.

This indian restaurant next to the highway is pretty amazing! Located near to Indianopolis it is a wonderful stop to get a big meal while travelling east through Ohio and beyond. I eat Indian food out a lot as I crave it as most Americans can crave Mexican food. Being from England where there are Indian restaurants everywhere I have high standards when I dine out for Indian food in the US. I am vegetarian and on this visit ordered my favourite dishes; lentil daal with rice, puri with chickpea curry and paneer pakora.. these were all perfectly cooked and seasoned and portions were just right! I can also recommend the mango lassi which was very sweet and citrusy I wish this restaurant was 5 minutes from my home!!

People are nice, quick service. Food tastes good. I have noticed this many times... Its a dhaba style food.. But they can maintain the premise much cleaner than a dhaba. And pls.. I prefer buying coke here because the glasses in which the water is served is not clean. ( marks of food around edges) Prefer to have fresh meat. I dont know about others but i can make out if the chicken in my tikka masala is not fresh. My daughter pointed out to a dead fly stuck in a spider web and said "look daddy a dead bug" My teachers and parents always told me "cleanliness is next to godliness" and that was in India. Its in our culture.. Pls do better. Pulling down my rating from 4 to 2.

This restaurant has AMAZING FOOD! It is a MUST STOP anytime I drive by on the highway. Ive talked with the staff about what makes the food here special. Their knowledge was just amazing. They even referenced Vics Trading company in the San Francisco Bay Area which is an importer of Indian spice and local Chaat landmark. Come on, seriously? How did this place spring up in the middle of nowhere? As always, the best Indian food comes from Sikh staff. This is the first restaurant Ive noticed female Sikh staff cooking. Could this be their secret weapon? The atmosphere is very good but dont expect upscale ambiance. People come here to seriously eat.

Filthy dirty is a health hazard. Even the Salt shakers were sticking and filthy and the salt was all clumped and stuck to the bottom. Tables filthy! Windows filthy! Floor filthy! Silverware and plates filthy! Dead flies on the window. DO NOT EAT HERE!!! Food was horrible and beyond old and undercooked. I was so disappointed. This was the worse dining experience ive ever had. Service poor and servers fingernails and hands filfthy dirty as well as her hair.

Sooooo goooooood!! This place was amazing! I regularly drive cross country, and having a chance to eat something other than McDonalds or Taco Bell is a blessing. This place is a small hole in the wall, but the food is incredible, they make a mean rum and coke, and the staff is SUPER helpful and friendly! I will DEFINITELY be stopping here on my travels from now on. 10/10

I just sat there for 10-15 min waiting to order and they COMPLETELY ignored me while a bunch of them stood around talking. Then when a waiter DID acknowledge me he gave me someone elses water and menu that had walked out before me!! I rather give them ZERO stars!! Dont go here unless you want to waste your time.

The food has been acceptable and I truly commend the owners for giving this area Indian food. However, as indicated in other reviews , this place is in need of a deep clean. On my last visit there was a smashed bee stuck to the wall next to the buffet. It reminds me of a Kitchen Nightmares episode.

Worst experience i ever had.... I ordered goat karahi.... meat had hard skin on... I ask them... this is not suppose to be there. Owner replied that thats how they got it and it comes frozen. Long story short they dont take time to clean goat or lamb meat.I WOULDNT RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO THIS PLACE.

WOW! That is the best Indian food I have ever eaten! The lamb is so tender I could cut it with the plastic spoon they gave me! The sauce was rich, spicy, creamy and flavorful. I will hit this restaurant every time I come through here!! Thank you for providing quality food!
