We finished Christmas shopping in Anderson and were looking for a quaint place for lunch. We found the Bank in Pendleton to provide a pleasant atmosphere with great service and food to match. We both had coleslaw. It was creamy style and had a nice flavor. I ordered the fish sandwich (I believe it was pollack) which consisted of a huge piece of fish which filled the bun and had several inches sticking out on either side. The breading was delicious and there was no "fishy" taste whatsoever. I asked for cheddar cheese on mine. The waitress offered American, pepper-jack or cheddar. I should have known the cheddar would be of the shredded variety. If I had realized that, I would have probably picked American, but it still tasted great, it was just a little messy! Both sandwiches came with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles on the side. The tartar sauce appeared to be home made and was very good. The fries were delicious and generously portioned! Coffee was freshly brewed and excellent! My husbands hand-breaded chicken breast consisted of a whole boneless breast! He could only eat half of the chicken, the rest we brought home! He claims it was the best chicken sandwich hes ever had. I wish we had saved room for dessert, judging from the main course, it would have been great! The sandwich platters we had were in the $7-9 range. We felt the price was fair for the amount of food that was provided. We will definitely eat there again.

My wife, daughter and I ate here after a long day of house hunting. As we walked in some people who were leaving told us to try the tenderloin. I did and they were right it was great. My daughter had the chicken strips and loved them. My wife got the Ruben and thought it was fine but nothing special. The wait staff were friendly and attentive. The owner stopped by our table and we had a very pleasant conversation. He described their renovation plans and I believe once those are complete you may have a hard time getting a seat here. So I suggest you try it now!

Jack and I enjoy the comfort of the restaurant. The staff are personable. The food is delicious. The chicken and beef nachos are delicious. The breaded tenderloin with slaw and fries are scrumptious. Thank you, Gary and Robin for providing such a personable place with great food to dine.

Ive been here a couple of times and have only had the chicken fingers and the broasted chicken. Both were pretty good. The waitstaff was pleasant, and I like the atmostphere of the old bank. I would recommend The Bank if youre looking for moderately-priced comfort food.

The staff was not very friendly. We had salads which we did not finish as it tasted dirty of which not one person asked how was our food. 46.00 for two salads two drinks which could not even get filled. And cheese sticks with a tip. Will not be back

food quality and portion size is excellent /above average. very cool restaurant made out of an old closed bank from the late 1800s / early 1900s - neat place! dont forget to go upstairs and check out the small bar on the second floor :)
