Lots of fun, and totally worth it just for the local color alone. Get a corner booth near the bar, and watch the slices of life in southeastern Indiana flow by you. Eat some nondescript salty fried things while youre there, you might as well. You wont regret it... its great that places like this still exist. The chicken is pretty good, the fried saurkraut balls are an experience. The hipster in me wishes they had more "brau" selections, considering their name. But the traditionalist in me is happy that theyve stuck to their conservative beer selection -- mostly American domestics leavened with a few German imports.

Waitress not friendly was rude as for German food what German food? When I asked for German potato salad I was told they ran out the night before and they had been open for 3 hours already when we got there guess they only make it when they feel like it we drove 2 hours to eat here we will never come back German food advertising should be banned its a joke

Great town and great establishment .very small sitting areas and short bar.arrived after lunch crowd and grabs stools barside..cold draft beers served in frosty mugs.brat sandwich; 2 sausages sliced and served on toasted rye with kraut.plenty large enough to serve two,sharing is caring but once its served you want it all to yourself.

Small, bathrooms are clean but small with old furnishings. Tables are appropriate and mute unique. Menu is small and must items are general pub food but some have German twists. Potato cakes were ok but German potato salad was great. Tried to charge for drinks not ordered, rude when asked to fix the bill.

Amazing fried chicken!! Highly recommend! Full bar with some great German beers, salad bar, friendly service. Located in a quaint building in beautiful historic German town, Oldenburg, just a couple minutes off the interstate.

Fantastic local german restaurant. Famous for their fried chicken. Other options are fantastic as well. Quick, great food, and fairly cheap. Friday fish special is great too.
