I stopped by on a Sunday morning but they were closed. Since I grew up in this town and have not been back here in 45 years, it was a retro experience. The building is new since then. When I lived here this spot was known as Chippys. It was a card house but also served beer and snacks - but mostly beer. Across the street from it, also now gone, was the town tavern. They both set right next to the train track. My biggest memory was being there when the train went through town at full throttle. Whistle screaming at full steam then a loud thrack! as the train hook grabbed the heavy canvas mail bag suspended between two hooks. I was always amazed that the whole thing did not rip apart throwing mail into every street in this small town.

This place has one of the best omelets know to man. Run by three sisters... Ive never had a breakfast that wasnt short of amazing. Dont go for atmosphere... and is cash only. Take the drive!

Ive been here twice. Its a nice little country diner with good food and fair prices. Be aware that they only accept cash though
