6 people in the party. One person had a dead fly floating on top of his glass of water and cold mashed potatoes. One received their burger once with cheese after ordering it plain, and again with a dark red middle when it was ordered medium well (it was closer to medium rare). One person ordered soup and didnt receive it until the very end of the meal because they "had a printer issue". One person had their food served in a cracked dish that allowed the food to seep through the crack (which we pointed out but told them we didnt really care just they may want to throw the dish away, the party member still enjoyed his food). Waitress showed up a total of four times in the hour and a half we were there, as a result the drinks were empty most of the time. They werent even busy at the time, we could see her standing around talking to other employees ignoring us. After talking to the manager she agreed to comp the wrong and inedible items. When we attempted to pay the bill we included a coupon that had been mailed in the paper for 15% off and our credit card. When the bill came back our card had been run without the 15% discount applied and there was a note telling us to save the coupon for our next visit. After tracking down the manager again, since they didnt have the guts to tell us to our face up front they wouldnt except the coupon, we were told that because she had already comped parts of our meal she wouldnt accept the coupon. Im sorry but its not my fault that the restaurant staff messed up as badly as they did and I see no reason why that excludes me from using a coupon. Ive been to other Outbacks and had great experiences overall I like the chain, but stay away from this one. Theres a competitor down the road where youll get better food and service.

We went here this afternoon for lunch/dinner with my in-laws. We got there at 3:10 and it was pretty empty. Our waitress took our drink order and when she finally came back, all of our drinks were mixed up. We switched drinks around and it was ok. She took our order and came back like 10 minutes later asking for clarification on what my husband wanted. Im glad she asked, but it was just an addition to our horrible experience. We were rarely checked on, the drinks were different every time she brought them, they forgot my mother-in-laws salad, my husbands salad had watered down ranch (my son and I got ranch with our meals and it was much thicker and more taste) and it took over an hour for us to get our food! It has never taken an hour to get food at any other restaurant weve ever been to. When we finally did get our food, my husband and father-in-laws steaks were lukewarm at best and chewy like bubble gum. My husband said there was so much seasoning it burnt his tongue! He gagged it down because he was paying for it and we dont have the money to eat out fancy steaks very often. She never once asked "how is your food?" Between the high price (compared to places weve had monumental better experience, like Texas roadhouse), the ridiculous wait for our food and the horrible service, I couldnt be more disappointed in this restaurant.

Ok last night we went to meet some friends at 6:30 they put our name in at 6:00 we got seated at 7:00 but prior to this we were talking with some people outside and they said that the Hostess told them they were short on servers so prepare to wait. also there were empty tables, we were seated and waited a long time for our food. Then we looked across from us and light bulbs were out so people were sitting in the dark eating there meal. We did get our food which was good. But one guy did not get his soup and the waiter told him they were behind in the kitchen and he would not get his soup. I have been to Out Back a lot and like it but it is very much known that when we go here that people wait on service and that they always give reasons of why the wait is so long to be seated and get your food. I would think if it was my business I would be getting a system down and making sure my kitchen staff was up to meeting the needs of the customers no matter if we had 2 or 20. So we will come back just hope the service gets better and keeping things maintenance.

Friday night. Place is dead. Let me start by saying I dont eat out a lot. Thought may e to treat myself to some outback. It was a mistake coming here. We were seated in a dirty booth next 2 dirty tables. Server was a nice guy, somewhat forgetful though. I ordered a burger which was cooked nicely. But I found a moldy onion on the bottom bun. Pretty gross if u ask me. Waited 10 minutes for ketchup which was delivered in a tiny cup. Will not come back here again. Also a the lady who seated us, after my mom said something about there being food in our seat responded with "its only bread crumbs." Gimme a break. Need to have a little more maturity from the hostess.

Service was good food was worthless they screwed my order up two visits in a row the first time they messed up my steak it was like cutting through rubber bands and my potato was cold server was about lazy and didnt check on us like she should have they messed my friends order up also and they give us two 20 dollar gift cards so decided to give them another chance big mistake waste of time wont go back to that outback again probably stick with Texas Roadhouse so much for the land down under in Muncie the second visit my steak was like shoe leather far from medium well the shrimp was mushy service was better rethink the trip there before you go.

We had called 1 hour ahead of time because we had a big party thats what the manager said to do when we called during the week. So the day comes we call party of 14 call and hour before like they wanted. On the phone they said good theres an hour wait time. We get here had to wait 45 mins extra. Just so happens the closed off the back part of the restaurant for the whole night. This gal came out told us about it and how they were going to open it for us to eat in. Well all the family is in their own booths and not together like we should have been. My beer was hot when I got it. This place needs to get their act together!

DO NOT go to Outback Steakhouse in Muncie! If you do, think twice about paying with a debit card! Accidentally left my debit card at this location when I paid in combination with a gift card, did not notice it was missing until late that night. The next morning, I checked my online bank statement and noticed that my card had been used throughout the town of Muncie the night it went missing, presumably by the waiter at Outback. Cancelled the card and filed a police report. I suppose nothing happened with the case. Typical Muncie.
