Went with a party of 4, got an appetizer of wrapped shrimp, two of us got the Crab Bacon Mac and Cheese, one of us got the Chicken Alfredo, and the kid got the Grilled PB&J. There were 4 wrapped shrimp there for $10 I think, they were extremely greasy which made the shrimp and wrapping tasteless, but the wrapping was like little noodles, it was interesting at least. The mac and cheese was tasteless, with very little soggy bacon and a few small pieces of imitation crab meat, and since there were two plates of the meal and they were both the same, I can say that it wasnt an issue of mistake. The Chicken Alfredo was pretty terrible, it was obviously microwaved as the Alfredo sauce had broken and just tasted like butter. The PB&J was small and almost 90% bread. The service was ok. The place was pretty busy with an hour wait, reportedly due to a shortage of chefs. The food took pretty long to get, we had to ask for place settings, and salt and pepper, and ketchup, hardly anything was brought out for us in advance. A manager did talk to us about our issues but she dismissed all of our complaints as essentially adjustments that they need to make. The reason Im giving it 2 stars is because of the facility; the place is practically a museum. I can partially justify the overly inflated prices with crappy food by saying that I ate in a museum. It was multiple stories with most of the rooms open, making it feel very unique. Our booth was in a jail cell overlooking a window, making it feel authentic but not claustrophobic. My main complaint about the booths though is that the booth is pushed right up to the cell wall, which is a solid sheet of steel, with the next cell booths right on the other side, meaning that if the people behind you move in their seats even a little bit, it shakes your booth like crazy! My wife has chronic back pain and she left the restaurant in excruciating pain because of this, they REALLY need to fix that (put some cushions behind the booths or something). Overall pretty disappointing but its interesting to see at the very least. If they fixed some of the issues with the booths and service and got some skilled chefs, it could easily be a very nice restaurant.

We actually looked at the jail, when it was first for sale several years back. We know how bad it was plus the thick walls and steel. You could see how the years had its toll on the jail but it was also awesome back than. Visited the new restaurant this weekend. Wow, Couldnt believe how the owners kept the jail as to was years ago. They even kept the beds in the cells and are using them as the booth seats. The original solitary confinement cell is still there too. There are a couple showers if you know where to look. There is also a hidden middle wall space between the cells. The vault was kept and I cant wait till the time they are able to open the bottom for tours. Dont be thrown off by the small entrance, keep mind it was the home of the warden. There is a lot of history in the jail and with time the owners are hoping to get more of the history documented. For now they have a lot to focus on. I did order the bass and the husband ordered the mac & cheese both there good. The bartender recommended a great beer for my taste and he was so right. We will be back and often to see the changes and enjoy a good time.

What a great fun place! The food was better then expected. I had the salmon. I would have given 5 stars but there are somethings that really need improvement. Such as the bathrooms. There was two soap dispensers, both empty and it seemed they had been empty for a while. The paper menus could have been nicer. Just needs some small touches here and there to take it from silly to a pretty nice place. At the moment it is a fun silly place to eat supper. Very loud but being that all the walls are metal that was to be expected and didnt take away from our experience. I recommend this place if you looking for some decent food and a lot of laughs! Just dont expect too much more then that and bring your own soap just dont drop it! It is a jail after all!

Our server Jose was awesome in ordering and we had a young woman who is gluten free food with us and he was very helpful with her order, he really work his but off making sure everything was done perfect, the only thing that we wasnt happy with was the lack of heat,we was a party of 8 and they sat us upstairs so we could seat together I wish that I asked him to move us downstairs and put 2 tables together.it wasnt comfortable to have to eat with our coats on and still was very cold. I hope that they will get the heating system working all over. Real soon. Going to go back when it gets warmer. Their lunch buffet is from 11 to 3 everyday for $8.95

Do not get the shrimp fettuccine. Girlfriend and sister both got it and sent it back. Waitress didnt even ask them to try something else. Just boiled noodles and shrimp. Chicken was great. Salad bowls need to be tossed out theyre impossible to eat out of. I ordered my steak mid rare and it came out cold. So I sent it back and they completely fried one side I ended up cutting off. After two cooks it still came out closer to rare and barely hot which means it was either frozen or right out of the fridge. I made sure to salt and pepper it before sending it back because it had zero seasoning. Need to clean up the artwork I dont think some people care to see pot leaves and Bart Simpsons p***s.

Very nice. Made a reservation for 16 people and were promptly seated when we arrived. Wait staff was awesome and had some great recommendations. I like that they source their meat from the meat market next door. I had the breaded tenderloin and it was fantastic. Out of the 16 people, there was not a single person that did not enjoy their meal. The most popular item seamed to be the grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. Would highly recommend but seemed to go smother when you have a reservation. Dont forget to tour the facility and see the old cells. Very cool..

Definitely an interesting atmosphere, but as a restaurant its below average. The staff was mostly undertrained and/or not very professional. The food ranges from fast food to better quality steaks, but the restaurant was out of almost half of their entrées when we went so our options were pretty limited. These issues could be related to the business still being young, but I would have hoped they would have things figured out by now. I just cant help feeling like this great location is somewhat wasted on this sub par restaurant
