The owner was up and at em early enough that he still seemed adorably half asleep and half ready to conquer the world. He also had a novel on the shelf I had not read and let me borrow it. I guess I MUST return for more coffee and to return the book when finished. Which is fine by me, since the coffee is FANTASTIC! Fresh, eye-opening, and NOTHING like the uh, chain competition. This spot is even better than some of the indie hotspots I know well in my hometown of Canton, OH - that is amazing enough for me ... AND then he said I could borrow the book. Coffee Brake Co. fan for life!

This is my go-to place for coffee! Its on my way to work, and the day doesnt start well unless Ive stopped in to grab a cup. Excellent value in a small locally owned establishment. Roasting on site is rare these days, and finding true American roast rather than the over roasted beans at the large franchises is definitely a treat! Nice variety of brews available daily, so I get to try lots of different kinds that I would not have a chance to try otherwise.

The taste of Ricks coffee is awesome. I typically get the Columbian part decaf/part caffeine and could not be happier with the "taste." This morning I had the Thaymers Iced Coffee. A true bargain at 2.95 for a 20 oz. cup. So nice to have an independent coffee shop still in the neighborhood. Awesome choices.

This is the place in Indy for single origin beans roasted on site. It is a great alternative to Starbucks dark roast. It also serves coffee by the cup. The Cold Filtered Iced Latte is fabulous! But you need at least 3-4 sweeteners. Try it youll like it. A north side gem!

The Mango, pineapple, banana Smoothie was not appetizing at all. No fruit or milk was used to make it. Just contrared juice, ice and water. I could not finish it at all. Other than that my visit was ok.
