I am amazed and pleasantly delighted at the high caliber of staff of this place. Its been an established place for many, many, many years and despite the normal turnover of staff, the management maintains a very consistent positive atmosphere and dining experience every time I walk through their front door. The food quality is top notch and you can always find a delightful treat or well-prepared dish to eat while here. They even have a refrigerated/freezer case of ready-to-bake desserts you can try at home! It would be very difficult to find anything to "complain" about here, but the only thing that has challenged me every so often is their restrooms. Their limited, single-occupancy restrooms. One for men and one for women. Their dining room expanded after a remodel many years ago, but the restrooms, which Im glad that even these exist, have been the only bottle-neck when there are a lot of patrons visiting. Its a very popular local stop in Broad Ripple. I love this place no matter what.

Just got carry out from this place, and it was very disappointing. I asked the cashier a few questions, and every answer she gave me turned out to be wrong. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich & the menu said it had mandiran oranges and pineapple in it; there was no fruit at all. The chicken in the salad was also way over-cooked & extremely tough, and it appeared to be thrown together in a few seconds because most of the chicken salad wasnt even on the bread. Pretty crappy presentation seeing as I had to wait 15 minutes for a cold sandwich & a dessert that was already made..... You need to step your game up Food Emporium!

Must say I wasnt overly excited to come here. It was nostalgic though. My mother used to bring us here when we were kids and it really has the same feel and smell. The food my friends ordered looked well portioned and appetizing. I only ordered an espresso (which wasnt anything to write home about) and enjoyed it. The line went quick at lunch time and the food was served quickly. I cant say if it was priced right because I only ordered coffee, but I also didnt hear any complaints. Anyway - good place, good service and what appears to be a good full and solid menu.

Neighborly vibes abound here, and the food is delicious. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful with the menu. The group I was with had sandwiches and salads, all of which disappeared quickly after being dropped at our table. Outdoor patio is lovely, with plenty of shade and lots of tables. Its clear why there are so many locals on a first name basis with the staff!

Had a roast beef special. Description said roast beef piled high. Eh, no. About three thin pieces. Thats it. And the Mac and cheese didnt even have cheese. Waited 20 mins for my food when there were less than 10 customers. Food is ok, nothing special. And the coke was probably the worst Ive ever had. Flat and no flavor. Needless to say, I wont be back or recommend anyone.

Croissants and bakery are amazing, and donuts (although very basic flavors) are fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth delicious, not too mention as inexpensive as any chain!!! Wonderful meals/appetizers to go as well!!

I dont think Ive ever had bad service here. The friendliest staff and owners of any restaurant we have ever been to in Indianapolis. Breakfast and lunch are amazing and good value for your money.
