A very close return to The Villa Buffet. This is the third buffet to occupy this spot in the massive concrete structure leading up to the riverboat casino. While I dont feel like version lives up to the first, original buffet, it is leaps and bounds better than the second. Compared to the first buffet (The Villa Buffet), The Spread is pretty darn close. While The Villa cut deeper into various cuisines (American, Mexican, Asian, Italian, etc.), I dont feel The Spread does a great job. While there is a variety of cuisines, it doesnt go much beyond what I would consider traditional American food. Yes, there is pizza representing Italy and fajitas representing Mexico, its still just "regular" food, in my opinion. Compared to the second buffet (Paula Deen), The Spread is *way* better. The Deen buffet was very limited. I referred to it as a "deluxe KFC buffet". With The Spread, there are way more dishes set out and so much more to choose from. The meat selection has grown from fried chicken to also include ham, ribs, and steak. Its so much better. Good: I experienced excellent service on my visit. The food is fresh. The buffet bars *are* the cook stations. The food is constantly being prepared in front of you and set out on the bar. Great selection of meats. Great selection of desserts (I was surprised to see Crème brûlée). The location is nice. If you visit the casino often, it will be convenient. If you dont visit often, it will be a break from the beaten path for a while. Bad: The price tag could be considered expensive. For a few dollar less, it is not impossible to be just as pleased and enjoy great food.... even at a buffet. If you are vegetarian, you will be able to fill your plate with some great food (I remember the collard greens and steamed broccoli being excellent), however, your second plate will likely be the same things you got the first time because you may run out of choices. Overall, I enjoyed the place and will be happy to return. I think its worth checking out. I you loved the first, original buffet, The Spread is a very close return.

The quality of the food was way better & tastier even before Paula Deen took it over. Since it has become the Spread Buffet, the food is not as flavorful. The macaroni & cheese needs a little more flavor and the cheese kinda tastes like milk. When I went on September 30 at the Friday night dinner buffet, the clam strips were overdone/dry and looking unevenly fried as some strips were lighter and some were browner. The fried fish corn meal coating wasnt tasty & tasted plain. The candied sweet potatoes in the pot were delicious but not hot at all, kinda cool. Would appreciate it if they added another vegetable like collard or turnip greens. Cost of food on Friday is too expensive for the low quality. Been going to the buffet for the past 14 years.

The best part of the buffet is the desert and action bar. Briana is always cooking my shrimp and is always nice smiling.she remembers my name when she sees me.. Tim, the manager is always going out of his way to get me some GRAND MARINER for my BANANAS FOSTER. He also shakes my hand and says its nice to seeing you. He makes Shure I get a seat in one of the TV rooms. The food is always good. But the service is better. The should bring back oyster night as soon as possible. Crab night was awesome but nothing beat oyster night. Excellent service. My favorite buffet. Thank you.

By the time I sat down at my table my food was cold or a little warm. The line was so long and with people cutting line for their seconds or just to cut made it worse. And food wasnt so grand. I guess cause it was OVER CROWDED. So I went to the cooking station and got a Philly cheese steak sandwich, which took ALOT less longer then waiting in line for their prime rib which wasnt to great either. But the cooking station was by far the best. Service was okay our waiter was great.

first time we went to this Buffet was before Paula Dean Buffet. It was good then and worth the price. Then it remodeled to Paula Deal Buffet and food quality went way down but the price went up. Now called the Spread, Food taste about a 4 out of 10, and yet the price has went up even more. Sprread has less to choose from and all the deserts taste the same, like they were made in the toilet! Do not waste your money going here!

Oh my gosh, if you leave here hungry then its your fault, They have all kinds of vegetables, soups, pizza., prime rib, all kinds of seafood, they have specialty stations to make lots of different foods to your choice, the desserts are worth the trip to THE SPREAD , they have bread pudding with bourbon sauce that tastes like heaven, also homemade donuts with dipping sauce,, try it once and youll be back!

Lucky the buffet was complimentary. I would not pay $20 for. It was worse than Golden Corral. Start why would you boil your rib and spread BBQ sauce that was gross. Second the seafood and green bean, the ends were not remove. The quality was lack. Of all the casino buffet this one was the worse. I gave it two star for the helpful waiter, Charles and it was free.

Unless youre spending a lot in the casino, you will pay a lot for cheap food. The place has changed names a number of times but the quality is lacking. If youre looking for anything remotely healthy at this place you will be disappointed. A quick drive to Louisville will provide you much better options for less.

Seafood night on Fridays is the only time to go have excellent crab legs. But not all of the time are the crab legs good. I do not believe there cooks really care though. The last time I was there there frog legs look like they cook them to death. They should not even have been brought out.

We love the Spread Buffet especially for brunch. The omelets are amazing and cooked to perfection. There is a great variety of food, whether you want eggs, chicken, salad, Chinese - it all is amazing.

Had the weekend brunch buffet which ended up as a disappointment for the price. The only saving grace is the employees, from the casino manager down. They are all friendly and helpful.

its very meh. been to a few buffets and always ask myself "would I pay (price of buffet) for what I just ate?" The answer here was no, but the crab legs made it worth 2 stars.
