Smoking?! In the restaurant?! And no marked smoking/non-smoking sections? If only I had known before I ordered. Whole restaurant is wide open, old timers over at their table - until the waitress asks them to move over to the big table right next to mine where they proceed to light up. On top of that, aside from the eggs nothing seems to be fresh: frozen hash brown patties, frozen meats, instant grits out of a packet... I could have fixed this at home and done a better job. This also must have been bring your kid to work day, because there was a squalling, coughing baby in the back that the waitress kept checking on. Dont worry, she didnt wash her hands before handling food. Going to be upset if I get sick. I get that childcare is difficult, but germs?!

I would give this place no stars if i could The other day me and my boyfriend went for breakfast it wasnt that good, we decided to give it another shot for dinner and today we came in and sat down, we waited for 15 minutes nobody ever brought us a menu asked us for our drinks or anything, but what made me leave was after our time waiting, 2 i suppose they were regulars came in, they were addressed by there name and got menus immediately. So we will not be going back there. EVER!!

We stopped at this cafe on our way back to Wisconsin from our trip to Mammoth Caves. Service was friendly, fast, and very hard-working. The food was stick-to-your ribs country cooking and well worth the money. The fried pickle chips were the best weve ever had: lightly-breaded, crisp, and flavorful. (Weve been to a lot of places who turn their fried pickles into chips that are mostly made of breading with a soggy, shrunken pickle slice inside.) They even offered us coffee to go.

Best food. Best prices. Best staff. HANDS DOWN! Catfish is great! Burgers are great! Taco salads on Saturdays are a must. Salmon croquettes, livers...all GREAT!
