So-called "bowl" of soup I just purchased for $3.50 (see posted image) I pushed it back across the counter and insisted that I ordered the "bowl," not the "cup." Clerk insisted this was the larger serving, after which I asked if the "cup" was of the same size chicks use to take body shots at the Neon Cactus. She laughed, I was not joking. At this price rate, they are charging a buck-fifty to lick the stirring spoon. I get back to work, and discover they couldnt even be bothered to fill this tiny bowl. That will be my last visit to The Sandwich Shop, and no longer will I be referring newcomers and visitors to our town to that restaurant.

If the bacon festival is any sort of indication of the level of customer service they normally have, save your money. Take a hammer and smack yourself in the temple instead. Youll have the same headache, but for free. Edit: to be fair though, the bacon cheese fries were pretty good, even if we did get one full order and another that looked like a quarter order.

I have always loved this place since I was a little kid. Its the best place to catch up on local gossip or run into an old friend, or maybe the parents of an old friend. Not to mention, the cheeseburgers and tater tots are the freaking best on the planet, NO JOKE.. I never miss hitting this spot when I go up north, back to my hometown of Delphi.

I always love the Sandwich Shop. You can get in and out in under an hour, even at peak times, making it perfect for lunch hour. The owner is most often there cooking, allowing for fresh, consistent, great trading food asst every visit. Always a daily special and the fries are fresh cut potatoes.

The Sandwich Shop is a Delphi tradition. The oldest continuously operated restaurant in the City, it is famous for its hand cut french fries; and also for the regulars who express their opinions on just about every subject.
