I have never been a big cupcake guy. I visited Underground Cupcake a couple of times shortly after they opened and really loved the cupcakes I had, but didnt have a strong personal pull to go back. I then moved out of town for a few years and when I came back I found out that they had expanded and were now doing sandwiches and soup. Wow, what a great, fresh surprise. The sandwiches are great and the soups are very eclectic and delicious. They also do breakfast sandwiches which are just as delicious as what is available at lunch and the coffee options are very good. I had an excellent espresso there recently. Plus, the staff probably couldnt be friendlier. Theres no reason to keep this a secret. Highly recommended and definitely the best option in Ellettsville and probably on this side of Bloomington. Oh, and I am probably a cupcake guy now.

The cupcakes are indescribably delicious! One of my favorites is the "Chocoholics Demise", which has a moist chocolate cake with a hint of Kahlua, a chocolate ganache center, and a whipped cream frosting topped with chocolate toffee crunch pieces. They have a healthy cafe menu with several vegetarian and gluten free options. The cafe atmosphere is nice and the staff is very friendly. If you are visiting from outside the Bloomington area, I would make this one of your destinations.

The cake was OK. The charge for the cake was too much. The cafe later used credit card to overcharge for container used to transport the cafe after illness prevented my family from return it after party. The staff was rude and one employee laughed about credit card charge for container in front of me and other customers. Never use this bakery! I suggest one pays in cash if you dont want illegal use of ones credit card! Just really stay away from this bakery!!!!!!!!

I am from out of state and ordered three dozen cupcakes, a dozen each for three relatives in the Bloomington area, the day before Christmas Eve. The employee that took my order was very friendly and guaranteed my family would love them. The cupcakes were all delivered by 1:00 on Christmas Eve and everyone loved them not only for how each was uniquely "beautiful" but also they were delicious and moist! A great surprise gift!!

Amazing service! If you dont see the flavor of cupcake you want dont be afraid to ask-if they have it they will get it for you. If they dont have the usual icing they will give you options. They have a very nice ☕ bar. Be aware the drinks are different from other places like Starbucks so dont be afraid to say what you normally order and ask for a suggestion. You will be glad you did. Great place to treat yourself!

I finally stopped in at the Underground. I was not disappointed! Everything is made on the premises. If you have the Italian Alibi, try it with the red pepper pesto, which tastes great with the fresh mozzarella. And the cupcakes--wow. The Peanut Butter Chocolate cupcake was delicious, far better than BluBoy or the former Angel Bs. The service was friendly and prompt. Highly recommended.
