Ignore the 50% off thing others are saying. 1) its not 50, its 30. 2) You have to wait forever on Tuesdays if you want to get seated. Dont go here to eat. If against my advice you do, pay close attention and get your food to-go (cleaner that way). The dishes are never really clean. I was once served a glass with a lipstick stain on it still. On another occasion, my friend received a glass of water with something black floating around in it. I think the salad is premade. Its all wilted. But if somethings dirty or bad looking, you cant see .The salad was rusted, but they covered most of it with the dressing. You could still see it though. Once I was served a soup that had salad dried to the side of the bowl. Dont touch the tables, they arent clean. Water rags are used to "clean" the table off. Youre supposed to use bleach but it doesnt smell of bleach at all. I doubt they actually do. Dont order the Gyu Don. The meat is all dried up and rough. Its basically burnt meat ontop of rice. This is how it always is, not just a one time occurrence. The restaurant isnt even Japanese. Its Korean. A lot of the stuff on the menu is Korean. I had to walk downstairs to use the john. Its nasty in there. The urinal has cracks in it. Had to use the toilet. I saw a chick clean off a table with her hands touching someones wadded up napkin. She came right back with my food. I highly doubt she actually washed her hands. The food will probably be good if you order it carry-out. Just hope the person who made it washed their hands and used clean utensils.

One of the better places to eat in Bloomington, in my opinion. I know people like to brag about the variety in here, but honestly whats good is variety if its all disgusting or tasteless? Being a person from below the Mason Dixon, I prefer my food to be well flavored--not to salty, perfectly seasoned. Not may restaurants in Bloomington can live up to that level of food preparation--even some of the chain restaurants. However, in this city full of bland, badly seasoned and sometimes down right awful (several of the Chinese restaurants) Ami stands out as a champion and reign supreme (when Im not in the mood to cook). The service varies, it just depends on whos working--some of the waitress are really nice others just there for the paycheck, like another establishment (well except maybe Hooters, as long as there is at least one male at the table).

I dont know why its called Domo on here, its Ami Resturant. They hours posted on the door, which was propped open said open till 10PM. It was printed on a piece of paper because it had changed, so it was supposed to be the update info. I walked in at 9:45 wanting a carryout order, they said the kitchen closed at 9:40. Dont post your hours as closing at 10PM when you close at 9:40, post that as your hours of closing. If your going to be open till 10, keep the kitchen open till 10 and close down after that. Probably some employees slacking off just trying to close down early. Either way, thats awful service and that was the 1 and only time Ill ever waste my time going there.

Amis pretty decent as far as a Japanese restaurant goes. Not the best, but then again, this is Indiana. Ive been there and the sushi was pretty good, for the price. One complaint, though, is that the service isnt really the greatest. I hate seaweed, and so I always get my sushi with soy paper. On Tuesdays when sushi is 30% off, they refuse to do anything special to your order, which meant no soy paper for me. :( To me, thatd bad service. But the sushi was all right, even with the seaweed on, and everything looked clean to me. And trust me -- having studied Japanese culture and language for five years, I know what Japanese cuisine is. The cuisine is Japanese.

Worst service ever. I am a clearly a working class person not a student. My boyfriend and I got ignored over and over again by a 21 ish waitress, who claimed she didnt "understand" us. So called manager was clueless as a bat, after waiting over half an hour for our order to be put in and being ignored we request a different waitress only to be kept waiting even longer. Not like the place was crowded or anything. Im not paying for the shitty service of a racist brat waitress. An hour later boyfriend still hasnt got his food. Sorry zero dollars in tips for you. Never coming back here!

They have a great menu with pretty good bento and maki. Service is good, if not super attentive. Atmosphere is calm, cozy, and possesses a nice ambience that is perfect for quiet dates or dinner with friends. They also have weekly specials that take off up to 30% off your total bill!

When we were doing all you can eat, the waitress took the wrong order and tried to add the order on our bills. Racism manager let the customer took responsibility for what mistakes he made and wouldnt listen to his customers. The servers attitude is horrible. NEVER GO THERE AGAIN.

Lots of people go on Tuesdays for 30% off of rolls. They tend to have a special every day, so its worth remembering which ones you enjoy and would like to take advantage of. They serve both Japanese food (sushi, noodles and bento) as well as Korean food.

The best sushi in Indiana. Enough said. Try the Mountain Roll, you wont regret it. There is usually a wait so come early if you want to get sit quickly. They do have space for large groups which is awesome.

Good food poor service even for carry out. Sad that it has gone so far down hill since it was domo. Half the both seats are ripped. Call your order in and deal with the staff as little as possible.

Horrible service and food was very sub bar. Dirty as we walked in and it was 3/4 empty. Ill never go back or recommend to anyone. Management was very disrespectful and less than Accomodating.

Wonderful sushi and udon! We had the agedashi tofu, 007 sushi roll, and udon, which were all phenomenal. Its pretty busy for dinner and we waited around 10-15 for a table on a Friday night!

I love to go to Domo because it reminds me of the soba restaurants and itzakaya in our neighborhood in Okinawa. Food is great. Service is great. What more can you ask?

One of the nicer American-style sushi places in Bloomington. They have discounts on certain nights of the week for different types of dishes, which makes it a good deal.

Sushi always tastes fresh! Their udon soups are also a favorite. Best carryout on 3rd street. Great place to bring parents during a family weekend.
