For the last five years, I have traveled to St. Louis because my son attends Harris Stowe State University. We have dined at the Margrove and Upper Crust locations. The food lalways has been mouth watering. I had a large number of family members coming to St. Louis to attend my sons college graduation. So, naturally everyone wanted to eat at Sweetie Pies. There was over 20 people in my party. I was told that the Mangrove location was closed, therefore we headed to the Upper Crust. The food was not at all what I remember. The macroni and cheese was runny, the catfish fillets were hard and the peach cobbler was not tasty. When I looked my family plates, most of the food was still on their plates. The Upper Crust restaurant was not as clean as I remember and the exterior, looked like an abandoned building. How disappointing. While in St. Louis, I will not return to Sweetie Pies. Sad to see the downfall of such a lovely restaurant.

My husband and I have been regulars for a few years. We love this place! The coffee is excellent (Intelligencia and Black Cat), the baked goods are made from scratch, and the staff are friendly at this family owned/run business. I highly recommend the crocodile pie, lemon squares, and German chocolate cupcakes. Everything that we have had there is excellent and they have some Paleo and gluten free options!

Wife and I went for a Sunday morning breakfast. First time in so we ended up splitting a quiche, a egg/bacon/cheddar casserole, biscotti, and an apple danish. Each item was fantastic and the service was superior! This was one of the best places I have ever been to for the Food and Service. The coffee was great too! I would HIGHLY recommend Sweety Pies to everyone!

Quite good pastries! The place is very well maintained. Polite staff, clean seating area. You get an outside view of downtown Skokie from the window. The coffee isnt the best, but its acceptable for a small business in Skokie. Dont pass it up! Definitely worth your money. Helps the corporation and the town of Skokie.

Finally skokie got something :) this place is so comfy and cozy inside, free wi fi the food is just Great!!! the staff are super friendly, i would recommend everyone to go down there and try it, this place is amazing. Surprised that its in skokie, usually places like this are in the city. Dimitry

Perfect spot to bunker down and get some studying done inside or to meet with a couple of friends for coffee outside. I usually get the cafe Au tail or cafe latte with some coffee cake and it never disappoints! I can only assume the rest of the menu doesnt either!
