Gaylord Restaurant sucks! I "WAS" a loyal customer ... but I am never going back there ever. My experience from yesterday - I walk in the restaurant ... I wait for their staff to attend to me and my husband. The manager and wait staff knows we are standing .. yet .. he totally ignores us. Finally after 10 minutes he says "Please wait!" ... Thats all? He doesnt give us an approximate wait time either. So we wait ... Then a waiter .. unpolitely .. raises his hand in gesture to call us ... "Ae, you? Come!" Whatttttttttt? Am I in Bombay at a chaat corner ... actually thats not even close to it .. even they are more respectful ... So I think .. ok maybe hes having a bad day .. Finally we are seated .. and then guess what we have to wait for another 20 minutes for someone to take our order .. I didnt mind that since they were really busy. But is that an enough reason for bad service and nonattendance. Even the people sitting on the next table were irritated by the same fact. We ordered Samosas, drinks, chicken tikka, murgh makhani, rice, naan ... The food was alright. Samosas were cold and seemed to be sitting out for days and the chicken tikka was super salty. Now heres the most interesting part .. so I have left overs and request the waiter to pack the food. I have paid 65$ + tip (IN FULL, i might add) for 2 people at this overpriced restaurant (which i would not mind if they offered good service and food). Now one would except to get all their left overs for the food they paid for. Right? Not at this restaurant. They only decided to pack and return the salty chicken tikka. They kept the rest to themselves. Wowwwwww! Would you want to go to such a restaurant. If I were you - I wouldnt. Bad service Bad waiter staff Cold appetizers Overpriced for nothing in return If you work at Gaylord Restaurant and you are reading this - "You guys need to get your act together or youll be out of business soon"

Terrible. Food was sweet n not even a bit spicy. Indian food are suppose to have some spice to it. False charged us. Told us its going to be an automatic private room charge if you have that many ppl coming. It wasnt even private. It was open for anybody to see. PLUS there were four families sitting at our tables between 1pm to 2pm. Obviously private room should be closed doors and my party only. Private rooms should have their own food kept for us separately NOT wait in line with others. We served ourselves for buffet. A waiter never even came back when someone wanted coke, didnt even ask is there anything else we can get you? Just left. Also talked to the manager Ritesh yesterday and kept fighting with me how he was fair to charge us close to $1500 for 34 people and 6 kids and 2 babies. On top of that being said Daron was in charge on Sunday and told Ritesh there was no one else at our party just us but there was four other families between 1pm to 2pm that we never met before. Both the managers were terrible to talk to. Cheesecake factory, Chipotle, Chinese food is MUCH better than what we ate over the weekend and of course BETTER customer service than this. I should have RSVP somewhere else. So please people rethink before you have a party here. I was even told India House is better.

Had an extremely bad experience here tonight. The service provided was way below standard. We ordered two appetizers and both of them were delivered incorrectly. They were eager to close their kitchen despite the fact that they had made a mistake due you which my kid could not have dinner. Despite telling them that the kid will remain hungry they were only saying that the kitchen is closed. They told us that they would not charge us for the item that was incorrectly served. Finally when the check was requested for we found that they had charged for two bottles of wine instead of one. They corrected that and when we saw the bill again, we could see that the item was not excluded as promised. Instead of that an overall discount was charged. For this fantastic service they included service charge in the bill by themselves. Their latest rule is that more than 4 people they have to charge service charge. They counted the two kids in their count one of whom could not eat anything due to poor service. :-( Overall we will not visit gaylord in Schaumburg again.

The service was mother f***ing horrible. We arrived there at 5 pm when they first opened for dinner. We were the first ones there and it took them five minutes just to pour us water. The food was not the issue. The food was great. I noticed our waiter was very friendly to the Indian family that came after us. Our waiter barely spoke to us. There were only 3 other tables and it took him a long time to pay attention to us when we were done eating. We waited for to go boxes for over 10 minutes. He handed us a electronic card reader and made us give a 15% tip. We had no option of tipping less. Its such a shame that the service was so horrible. I really liked their food. This is the third time there and horrible service each time. This will be the last time I will eat here. I will take my business elsewhere like New Delhi restaurant or Thumka bar and grill. Their service is 100% better!!!!!

I love this place. The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Especially if you get the King, Queen or Vegetarian feast; you will have left overs! I read the other reviews and some people complained of the service but I think that the service is very good. Some of the waiters are a little odd....occasional awkward moments (this has happened on a few visits) were the waiter would ask us if we would like something else, I would say no thanks, and he would just stand there. Or the last time when my husband commented to the waiter that he liked the rectangular plate they used for the dessert and the waiter responded that he would "karate chop the plate and then we wouldnt like it anymore." I dont know what that meant; but it gave us good laugh later when we talked about it. Long short of it, if you like Indian Food, this is the place to go!

Ive read some of the negative reviews posted here and Im shocked they came from the same restaurant. I have been to this restaurant for the lunch buffet several times, and always the staff was amazing. Last night, 6 friends and I went for dinner and were simply amazed. The staff was attentive, and courteous, the manager checked several times to make sure we were well taken care of. The food is very flavorful, nobody at our table had anything but high praise for the food and the restaurant. I honestly felt like I was family, rather than just a customer, as I have on previous occasions. This restaurant is well worth the drive to visit (a 45 min drive in my case) and I will certainly return for more amazing food.

Im not a big fan of papad but I do respect them adding it as a complimentary side. When my family and I went there, we ended up waiting 20 minutes for Chicken Makhani and something else... I forgot, but it was some kind of salan. Anyway, they came in small teapots and we were anticipating more based on the prices. The food was really mild, making it friendly for people who arent accustomed to Indian cuisine. Since Im Indian, I was dissatisfied with the taste. Also, a scoop of kulfi is about 5 bucks. But the quality was great and the service was fantastic as the staff were inviting and welcoming. If youre not a fan of spicy but you wanna try out Indian food and if you can afford Beamers, Id recommend coming here.
