I came in to Dairy Queen savoy the other day to be greeted by one of the nicest owners/operators you will meet. He was kind enough to make small talk and ask how my day was going. After we chatted for a minute I ordered a chicken strip basket with an upgraded order of fries to cheese curds. I also got a cotton candy blizzard with it. The overall price isnt that bad really, especially after you consider how good the food is. It was a lunch rush so I didnt expect it to be immediate but it sure was fast. When I sat down to eat my food the first thing I noticed was how good the cheese curds were. After eating here more then a few times I can say hands down its the best cheese curds in town. The chicken is also unbelievably good, especially with a cup of buffalo or the gravy they give you. By the time I got to desert I was stuffed, pleasantly of course. The cotton candy blizzard is a treat for the sweet tooth for sure. I made it a goal to try all of the blizzards here so I can decide which is the best. There isnt many other places around the champaign/savoy area with food, and quality service quite like the Dairy Queen of Savoy. Totally worth every penny!

I used the drive through service at the Dairy Queen in Savoy, IL during my lunch hour from the UofI. With it being move in day for the students most restaurants around campus were packed so I went out of my way for faster and hopeful of better service. I ordered the chicken strip basket with the Texas toast, even asked the drive through person, "I do get the toast with this meal, correct"? He said "YES". I proceeded to window where I had exact change ready only to be told I that wasnt the amount, so I dug around to get the correct change since I had the correct bills. When I finally go to eat my lunch the chicken was pretty good, the french fries were uneatable and I mean not good enough even with gravy on them and of course I did not get the Texas toast. Then my drink issue, well, I ordered Dr Pepper my staple drink and of course it tasted like Dr Rootbeer, yup a combination of Dr Pepper and Rootbeer. Needless to say very unhappy with my lunch and will probably be a long time before I return if ever to that Dairy Queen. So disappointed. This doesnt even deserve a star.

Product was not what was advertised. I purchased the Oreo blizzard cake for a birthday celebration. On the picture, and with most ice cream cakes, the top and bottom halves are equal and separated by crunchy layer. With my cake, the top layer of Oreo ice cream was so thin it looked like a layer of icing! It was mostly vanilla ice cream. Adding insult to injury they charge more because it is a specialty cake. Get you act together Dairy Queen!

I went through the drive through at the Dairy Queen here and the person was very nice to me. He was having a little troible hearing but he was very kind and understanding. I ordered a double cheesburger and a lime artic rush. The people there made my food exactly how i liked and i had no conplaintz! 9/10 recommend to anyone who loves good food and great service.
