Be prepared to eat food made from leftover ingredients if you go when they open. Fried chicken wing dish (Gan Pong Chicken) was certainly refried and reeked of old chicken taste. To cover this, they drenched it in so much sauce, it was soggy and tough. The other dish we ordered had pork strips that were also "repurposed". We had to send it back and it was no improvement, other than it was now extra salty. The saving grace was the third dish we ordered (shrimp dish, Gan Pong Shrimp) that was cooked to order (crispy and not drenched in sauce). My family has been going there for many years, but their food just isnt the same as it used to be, degrading over time. The breaking point for us is that instead of making it right, they just keep telling us we dont know what were talking about and insists that everything is made fresh to order, including what we ordered, even when there is such a clear difference between the chicken and shrimp dish (same dish with different proteins). We are sorely disappointed and wont be coming back.

HORRIBLE, I ordered over the phone for pick up, and the "owner" mistreated me so bad, he disrespected me over the phone by calling me an uneducated person because i didnt know the exact name of a dish that Ive never tried before. First of all i am not Asian, second of all this was my first time ordering from here, but he lost a very very good customer because i love Asian food, especially Chinese food. He is very rude, he has no manners, and he does not appreciate the customers of his business, and when i mentioned to him how uncomfortable he made me feel, he said " if you dont like it dont come here anymore." Please stay away from this place, theres nothing special about the food, just regular Asian food. Horrible customer service. There are many good places out there. Do not waste your money on this place.

This place is absolutely disgusting, even if the restaurant looks clean, the kitchen must be nasty, i ordered noodles and seafood soup and i got food poisoning, had to go to the emergency room in the middle of the night because my stomach was killing me, and ofcourse as i suspected it was the food i ate from this place, the doctor comfirmed it, the seafood had a bacteria do to improper refrigeration, and not being cleaned well. This was the my very last meal of the day, and in the middle of the night i started feeling super sick, this place should not be serving contaminated food, especially seafood. STAY AWAY!

Never again they serve raw uncooked meat. It was my first time ordering there. I ordered beef fried rice without knowing I didnt know the rice was NOT fried in the soy sauce so I recieved white fried rice with beef but in the bag I recieved soy sauce. Was I suppose to fry it at home? So I tried it it was awful the beef was NOT beef not sure what it was and definitely not fully cooked. So when i returned a waitress attended me all I got were excuses and the manager was not there to give me a refund. I evened showed her the raw meat. So I left my food there on the counter and left. Lost $10 for crap.

I tried this place for several reasons: good halfway meeting point between suburban and city friends, plenty of parking, and great online reviews. It has not disappointed me yet in at least 4 dinner visits so far. The service is prompt, friendly, and flexible (with substitutions, where possible). The portions are sufficiently large so there are always leftovers. I particularly enjoy their spicier chicken dishes and the hot and sour soup. They have a lot of large tables for big parties and plenty of smaller ones. Although it is always busy, I have never had to wait for a table.

I had order food from here a few times before everything was great, but gees what the heck happened. I Ordered some food from here last week, got egg rolls and a chicken wing dish I forgot what it was called, I can never remember the name. Any how my egg rolls were super greasy I bite in to it and nothing but oil came out of it. It got all over my clothes and ruined them. This will be the last time I would get anything from here Bottom line is everything was super greasy.

Im 22 now, but Ive been coming here since I was two months old. My parents and I love this place. Their Mongolian beef and kung pao chicken dishes are amazing. The owner of this place always remembers me and says Ive grown so much. Its like home. The dishes are definitely of good portion for a relatively cheap price. Its quality food. They have lunch hours, which is a great time to go because its cheaper.

Its really difficult to find good Chinese food. This place is in my opinion, the best!! Great food served hot, attentive staff and well priced for the portions you get. Ive had most of the beef and chicken entrees, havent found a bad one. Egg rolls, delish! When my sister comes in from Florida, every time we make dinner plans for Great Beijing! YUMMY!

Decent, had lunch special... The hot and sour had some seafood in it for a change, but it was just above-average. Hunan wasnt great, but I dont think this is a hunan place... price was very reasonable, and they had free refills on soda which is nice. My search continues however. The Hunan Spring in evanston makes better hunan dishes.

Thee most nastiest Chinese food I have ever experienced in my entire life!!!!!!! I will never return to that place, not to even use their bathroom. The so called fried rice wasnt even fried. I give that restaurant two thumbs down. The food is extremely bland and the fountain drinks taste funny Mc Donalds wouldve been better!

I ordered lunch for pick up from Great Beijing, it was okay. The food was bland, but fine. The portions were average. The lunch special price is good. The fried rice is not what one would expect, it is white rice with veggies and eggs mixed in. Kind of disappointed, would not recommend.

They serve oolong tea. Do try Mongolian Beef... The most tender beef Ive tried in Asian restaurants. Do try Sizzling Rice soup. Used to be my family favorite place 10 years ago... then we moved away... Im back for lunch when I can :) servers are quick even during busy lunch hours.

The food service is always fast, especially for to-go pickup. This is a great place to have a dinner get-together with a small group. Havent had anything that I didnt like! Additional plus that the food is not greasy like a lot of other Chinese food/restaurants.

I went with my friend at lunch on Friday. Service was excellent, sweet and sour pork was great, but the noodle dish seemed too salty. Inexpensive for a large full plate of food with soup, egg roll and tea. I think Ill become a regular customer.

Love the chicken wings! Little spicy, similar to San Tong wings in SF but less sweet/ gooey. Best jajang and Mongolian beef. Way better than anything in pdx. Pokemon gym next door or on site. Our favorite Chinese in chi- town when visiting family

This place serves korean style Chinese food. The gang pong shrimp and chicken are REALLY good. Our other favorites are the black bean noodles (jajang myun), seafood noodle soup (jampong), and sweet and sour beef (tang suyuk)
