I have never been more insulted by a business owner in my life. Sheldon Kane hit on my wife while I was parking the car. Had I known this, I would have punched him out and called thepolice myself. My wifes friend told me afterwards. When I came in (I didnt know he was the owner) he was yelling at a patron from the adjacent coffee shop for patronizing their business saying, "Im gonna call Rabbi and tell him you were in there!". He was taking pictures of the young coffee shop patrons through the windows!! The food was cold and inedible. I later heard this from the nice people that work in the coffee shop next door that this behavior is normal for them to endure. The service was slow. The owner stalked around the parking lot for at least 20 minutes yelling on his cell phone- cursing and chain smoking cigarettes. I wish they would close this dirty place down so no one else would eat here. Horrible example for the Jews in our community.

Slice of Life and Hy Life are 2 great reasons to love Chicago. I dont know who the (clearly bitter and angry) person "kosherlove" is, who wrote the review above; but I have always thought very highly of Sheldon Kane and I think its unfortunate that some reviewer can hide behind an anonymous user name and berate someone like that. If you think Im being unfair to "Kosherlove" - click on his profile and see all 4 reviews hes ever written about restaurants. Poor guy sounds like a school shooter. Anyway, sorry to get sidetracked here. I personally love the food and atmosphere here! :-)

They have both a meat and a dairy side, with the dairy side offering a chalav yisrael menu. Their deep dish pizza is good. While Ive had better deep dish in Chicago, it was by no means bad and was the best Ive had at kosher restaurant in the city. Deep dish takes 45 minutes to make, but you can call in the order ahead of time so you dont have to wait as long once you arrive.

The food was very good and they also offer gluten free pizza my son claims is the best hes had. The service was very good and the waitress attentive. The only issue I had was the entrance would be a little clearer and easier to find.

I enjoyed the food here, and the service was very good. The chili was good and the vegetable stir-fry was good, but both needed more herbs and spices. Several vegan items as well.

I tried the deep dish pizza there. Nice big portion, but overall ok. Prices were decent and atmosphere was fine.
