This is totally a Chinese low-cost diner; decor-wise, it actually evokes a few tables thrown into a laundromat than a restaurant, the only thing chinese is a few Bruce Lee posters on a wall, and, of course, the hostess cum waitress cum cashier. But the food is great, the vegetables kow (stir-fry) was flagrant with the chinese trinity of scallions, garlic and ginger, with brocoli, snow peas and green pepper cooked just right, still crunchy but without any raw taste; the schezuan beef was tender and spiced schezuan style, peppery and with a hint of chile but not tongue-burning; both glistening with tapioca starch sauce but not greasy at all. The chicken pineapple curry was sweet, with the distinct thai basil and cumin and coconut milk taste, exactly like in Thailand (I was there, several times). All for $35 before tip for 4 people. Low cost, great food, whats not to love? Some other reviewers were complaining about the service, we had great, efficient service, thought I must admit the lady was not most fluent in English, just knew enough to get by. But thats a true Chinese thing, isnt it?

I normally dont rate but I had to inform others that I ordered our meal at 6:20PM and at 8:40PM we still didnt have our food. After 4 calls I decided to drive and get it myself and they told me the driver left 10 minutes ago and in the time I returned the food still didnt arrive. The food just arrived at 9:00PM and we turned them away.....NEVER AGAIN! While on hold I heard at least another 4 unhappy customers that were waiting far too long.

So I have been coming here since I was a kid, and the prices have barely changed. Im not sure I would go here for the ambiance, but they have amazing dinner and lunch specials. Plus their egg rolls are better than any I have found in the city. I suggest the sweet and sour chicken, sesame chicken, shrimp and lobster sauce, and the mushroom supreme. The specials come with soup and egg roll, egg drop and won ton soups are my favs.

I love Chinese Food and I often just try different places. Well Im here visiting my brother and put in Chinese Food in Lagrange in my maps and this place came up. Well I feel if u hve good egg rolls everything else is good. Low and behold I got the Shrimp w/ Lobster Sauce ( no black beans or garlic extra eggs w/ 2 egg rolls and it was delicious. Im trying to get back b4 I leave. I highly recommend this place

Everything has been great from both Thai and Chinese selections on all 4 visits. Best crab Rangoon anywhere, not the generic stuff! Great, fast service and take out is extremely well packaged. To top it off a sweet, lovely lady takes and delivers your order. 5 Stars all the way!

My family and I went to our usual place, but it was closed. Looked for the nearest Chinese restaurant and stubbled on this one. After reading the reviews we decided to try it. WOW the food was really good. Cant believe weve never been here before.

Great food with a mix of Chinese and thai dishes. Old school no frills but solid with delivery available. Would have been 5 stars but their delivery driver caused major property damage and fled the scene during a delivery.

DELICIOUS. Dont let its unassuming presence in a strip mall fool you, New Hong Kong is one of the best Chinese restaurants around. I have yet to find a better General Tsos chicken!
