If I could give this restaurant less then one star I would. This place was horrible. Ordered the appetizer platter in an effort to try a couple items. It was horrible. Pakoras tasted as if it wasnt cooked fully. When trying to place the order for dinner the "manager" wasnt even listening to us and was looking in another direction while standing there with a pen and pad in his hand. I had to raise my voice to get his attention. What type of restaurant would hire such a rude unprofessional manager is beyond me. Our dinner order took almost an hour to get. The naan was so burnt that all I tasted was the char. Horrible. Then with the curry dishes, rice isnt even included. Everything is ala cart. The makhani tasted like tomato soup. I couldnt believe it. I could take a can of campbells soup and it would taste the same. Disgusting! I asked for water refill and had to wait 15 minutes for it. After we finished we sat there for another 30-40 minutes to get our check. Then they had the nerve to put an18% service charge on service that was so horrible that I find it so ignorant that they think they even deserve it! Way over priced for the crap they call Indian cuisine. Dont bother wasting your time or money.

This is one of the best worst Indian restaurant in entire Chicago, we had very bad experience here. If there is any chance of giving negative rating I would do that. We went here for dinner on Friday, I have ordered for chicken 65, which is not actual chicken 65 it was saucy and the chicken is so hard it seems not freshly prepared, I love Hyderabad chicken biryani so I order it but it doesnt even taste like biryani, its wet like sambar rice or I cant name it what they serve. Price was too much doesnt worth it.Guys please stop using name Hyderabad biryani name and stop spoiling our name. And finally mango lassi we ordered 2 of them for Togo, after reaching we noticed one with water and other with mango lassi. Service was very bad and worst So guys please think before going to this restaurant.

We went there today for dinner for two people. For $40(before Tax), we were only able to get Malai Kofta, Paneer Tikka Masala, Plain Naan and Kashmiri Naan. It was extremely costly. Paneer Tikka Masala hardly had any Paneer cubes and was full of bell pepper. Now who in the world gives Paneer Tikka Masala with bell pepper. Malai Kofta were hard and not at all soft and spongy. We had to break them by hand. Kashmiri Naan tasted horrible. It was supposed to have pineapple, cherries and walnuts. Rather it was filled up with some masala paste which tasted S**T. Neither I will visit this place in future nor will I recommend this to anyone.

Incredible, incredible buffet every single day of the week! I used to go to Gaylord in Schaumburg for their buffet and just assumed I had to lower my expectations for buffets: cheapest options on the menu, no variety, none of the favorite standards everyone goes to an Indian restaurant for. India House does not skimp on quality or just throw down whatever they have extra of in the back. High quality, ridiculously yummy, vegan friendly... I went three times (ok, I think four) in the first week. So good it made me write my first review ever on Google. Cant believe it doesnt have 5 star rating already. Go, treat yourself!

Horrible service. I placed a carry-out order at 7:07 p.m. Showed up at 7:38 p.m., stood around for 5 minutes while the staff took care of everybody else other than me, and when they finally looked for my order nobody had it in the computer. Waited around longer, someone came out and told me it would be 15 minutes. Waited around until 8:02 p.m. At which point still no one had written down my order or put it in the computer but rather were trying to figure out who might have taken our order over the phone. Smelled great but never for any food. I left and ordered from Gaylord, and was quite pleased.

My neighbor introduced me to India House and then I went on my own. They made dishes customized to exclude ingredients I have a food sensitivity to. When I came on my own with family, the waiter was willing to find out specific details about the food ingredients (such as whether it was cooked in soybean oil). That eliminated almost all the foods on the menu for me. So, I ordered the Saffron Rice. It was the most delicious rice I have tasted. I brought it home to share with my beagle puppy, who also loved it. For me, the food and dining experience is worth the extra money.

Every time I order take out here, I get a different experience. Sometimes when I order the #370 on the menu, I get a side of rice. Sometimes I dont. And if you ask for rice, they charge you $5.00 for white rice. 1/2 the time, the phone number to the restaurant doesnt work. And you get batched into the place next door, and its impossible for them to patch over to India House. Sometimes the food is ready in 20 minutes like they say, and sometimes its 30-35 minutes. No concept of the customers time. Paying $40.00 for 2 entrees and some Naan I should get more.

I have eaten at several Indian restaurants and India House is by far the best. We ordered several dishes and ate family style. The Chicken Kebabs were an excellent appetizer along with the Strawberry Delight cocktail. We also had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Korma, Fish Curry, and garlic naan. Everything was amazing. The service was great as well. Nicholas, the manager, made us feel right at home and all of the servers were courteous and efficient. If you like Indian food, I strongly recommend you visit India House. You wont be disappointed.

Weve been here many times before today and have always been happy with the food and service. But today was quite different. First was the fact I waited almost 10 min before the host even acknowledged that we were waiting to be seated. Next, once he did seat us no one offered us a high chair for our toddler. The variety of food was disappointing today as they were supposed to be celebrating Diwali but it was a very normal menu and not even any Diwali decorations but instead Halloween decorations....

This is far the best Indian food I have had after a long time. I am giving 5 stars for the food service and ambience. I happened to be here last week with my friends for dinner and everything we ordered was so good and the spices well mixed to perfection. Our server was very helpful to suggest some delicacy like Lamb Shank and Tandoori Promphet. All in all worth every penny we spent. We will be definetely back. And I highly recommend this place if you guys want to really enjoy some Indian food.

We had a terrible experience using a groupon at India House, Hoffman Estates at their lunch buffet. 1) They insisted on us paying cash for the extra amount $25 - no credit card, nor check. I did not carry enough cash and had to borrow from our guests. 2) They forcibly charged 18% gratuity for 3 adults and one 14 year old. This was for the lunch buffet, not full service menu! 3) When I told the manager I would never return, he started yelling.
